Econo Lodge Hannibal

Stay here this past week, the room was clean and pretty good for an Econo Lodge. But the walls were paper thin or the people next door were very loud, would do again. The bathroom was huge and the parking was tight.

We had our expectations met for our overnight stay in Hannibal. The room was clean and roomy with a large bathroom. Plenty of hot water, good wifi connection, and a comfortable bed. It had a flatscreen TV that worked fine. We never used the microwave or fridge that were also in the room. Parking lot is a bit tight but it worked out ok. It is close to restaurants and shopping, and only a couple miles from the historic downtown district. Breakfast selections are limited. Service is friendly and price reasonable. Nothing to complain about here.

We stayed here on a Thursday night and the following Saturday night. The hotel is located just off of I-72 on a major road. We had a room on the backside of the hotel, so we had little to no road noise. Rooms to the front were probably nosier. We had a large room with a sleeping area and sitting area and a large bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean and well maintained. Décor was a little dated. Breakfast was tasty.

Great location off I-72, nice room, very basic. Price was excellent. Bathroom was very spacious. Good breakfast. We stayed here on a road trip; it certainly wasn't the best hotel, but it was the cheapest, and we didn't really need anything more than what they provided. A hot tub would've been nice, though.

This was a large room with a huge bathroom all for a very decent price! The room was very clean and the staff was GREAT! We had a problem with the television and the maintenance man repaired it and this made us happy. The breakfast was ok. The toilet and shower both did their jobs great! The motel was close to all the sights we were in town to see.

The rooms are clean, parking is limited. Access to the highways is very convenient, however the breakfast area had an odd smell which seemed to be part sweat and part heavily scented candles so we passed on the "free" breakfast.

We took this room because of the price. One thing a person driving past would notice that you can't see from the internet is the parking: there is very, very little parking, and if the motel is full, you will not be able to park nearby. This is something that should be noted in the advert as this proved to be problematic for us. If you can get to your room early and no one is around, grab your spot and not move your car, then you will not have a problem with parking. If you have to leave for food, visits or anything else, be ready to spend a long time seeking a place to park as the street next to our building has a fire hydrant inconveniently placed just opposite of the drive in front of the rooms. There is a small dirt lot for "trucks" but I would not recommend braving that with a new vehicle as most of the traffic that I watched attempt to park there were either rookies, partially blind or drunk... or so it appeared to me (for the record, I am a CDL holding retired Truck Captain in the Fire Department, so I can drive anything backwards - watching the trucks was quite comical, but it would not be remotely funny had I parked in the "truck parking" area). Other than that I found the rooms to be large, well maintained, clean, and pleasant. Our bed was King sized and there was plenty of room for me to run from my overly aggressive wife as she can be dangerous when sleeping (LOL). The bathroom was wheelchair accessible (but access to the room door wasn't, unless I missed the ramp up to the walkway, which I may well have completely overlooked in my distress over the parking). As I am disabled and limited in motility requiring a cane at the least, but I am able to walk most of the time (with a cane, of course), I found the bathrooms to be more than ample with rail hand-holds to get in/out of the tub. I didn't ask specifically for a disabled room, so this was pleasant and something to remember about the rooms should i visit again. The location was excellent as well. Directly across the street from a CVS and Walgreen's pharmacy which is in the parking lot of a strip mall with Chinese food, Pizza and a grocery store. There is also easy access to get to downtown for sightseeing Mark Twain's boyhood home. It was easy to turn left across traffic in the mornings when no one was out and about however I found that during traffic, it is easier to turn right, then go past the underpass and turn around. There is a light to turn into the grocery/CVS. One more thing that my wife and I think people should know about is: the coffee pot I am not sure if there was some kind of Allen Funt wanna-be prankster who supplied the pots to the motel chain, but the pot was more of a dribble-pot than coffee pot. No matter how slow or careful you were bound to spill as much as you poured into a cup... Access to things in the area is good, and I can't complain about the price or amenities. I enjoyed the stay and would rate this much higher except the parking debacle.

Stayed here for overnight trip to area. Clean room and friendly staff. No elevators to upper floor and no pool if you need that. Breakfast was so so. Internet/wifi worked ok. Easy to find but a little hard to cross street if going in that direction for any reason. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area.

Stayed here before in 2012 and was pleasantly surprised. It's an older place tucked in the corner of highways 36 and 61. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with micro, fridge and coffee maker. Both the room and bathroom are large and easy to get around in. Biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast with an extremely helpful staff. All for around 60 bucks making it a great value. There is a mall across the street and It has outside, park in from of your doors. If there was an outdoor pool the place would definitely garner a 5+.

We felt like the rates were great, the room was clean and the service good. We ate the breakfast and walked away satisfied. It is by the highway so noisy but we ran the air conditioning fan all night and slept well. It was easy access to all the sites we wanted to see. We would stay again.
