two minor problems, bathroom shower head would not pulse for massage shower, but had plenty of hot water after walking Hannibal days downtown, and going to Quincy Ill. for 40th tin dusters car show-lots of walking! #2 problem was with Wi-Fi code, did show on computer access but would not open- had my ATT. mi-fi so did not stop my use! ive been coming to Hannibal & Quincy for 15yrs on the third weekend in October for fun an relaxation, again another great weekend ! !
We had hoped to be able to walk to the local historic sites but not possible from this location. However, we called a taxi service which was only $5 each way which was awesome. We did not want to spend a lot on a hotel room as we weren't planning to spend much time there. The room was clean and comfortable, which was the most important thing.
Asked the staff if I would be able to use their computer to check in for my flight and print my boarding pass. Clerk said only a manager could authorize that since that was considered personal use of a company computer. He recommended I go to another hotel and see if they could help me.
Our non smoking room smelled like the inside of an ashtray and was run down to say the least. In the middle of the night I discovered a LARGE roach in the bathroom which I caught and took to the desk in the morning after staying awake all night wondering what else might be in this room. I was told Oh, just a waterbug we sprayed 2 weeks ago and he should be dead. Sure looked like a cockroach to me! The parking is almost on top of a very busy street and entrance ramp to a highway so this place is anything but quiet. In fact in order to backout of our parking place we had about the width of one lane of traffic to the street with nothing between us and the busy traffic. I have never written a bad revue but this place truely deserves one.
The Econo Lodge in Hannibal has an excellent staff. They were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean. If you are looking for a luxury hotel with pool, dining, etc., then this is not for you. But, if you are looking for a clean, economical, family-friendly hotel, then I would recommend it to you. There are many eating places, shopping, etc. close by and it is not far from downtown Hannibal, which is a historic scenic place to visit. Our room was a senior room and has the largest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel--it was great!
