Well located business hotel in central Hangzhou. Not near to east lake tourist area but easy to access by Hangzhou metro.Metro station is just front of the hotel. Fast check-in and check-out. Ok breakfast. Rooms are modern and some are recently renovated.
the hotel is located in the city center, just 100 meters away from the subway station. less than 30 minutes by metro from hangzhou train station. the hotel has a long history, but it has good service with professional staff. the senior level membership can use the club lounge for free, with drinks and happy hour. the bed is confortable. the buffet breakfast and dinner has quite a lot of food and is a real bargain. it's good for business and leisure both. will come back again soon.
I stayed in this Hotel on last December with my family for 3nights This hotel location in city centre and beside and in front of hotel have many shops and local restaurants with good price Can walk within 5minutes to silk shop area Shi Zhou Shi Chang To Hangzhou airport around 30minutes by car in the morning The room are clean even quite old, the staff very nice and friendly They do all properly, for example: my checkout time too early in the morning so they pack our breakfast in the paper box and settle the invoice as our request Porridge in breakfast very delicious... The staff can speak English really helpful for foreign guests
My first time stay in Holiday Inn, but previously I have sit in the lobby in Chengdu where I quite like the perfume in the lobby. That's the most important reason why I choose this hotel. A lot mirrors in the room, they also have express delivery service, the staffs are quite nice, the Christmas trees inside and outside the hotel are very beautiful. the sitting table is also very nice. The hotel transportation is not free, around 200 RMB. The sound from AC is a little loud (we stay in the 14th floor)
The room was a bit worned. The room was clean and comfortable,It needed to be updated but the guest service was good. The daily breakfast buffet was very good. There was plenty to choose from. No complaints with the food. The location was a bit out of the mainstream of things,
Stayed here as part of a tour group. Informed the reception that I'm a Spire Ambassador Member and she said that since my room was part of a tour group, I was not eligible to any of the usual elite member benefits. I totally understand but I was hoping I would get a better room but to no avail. It was a weekend too so maybe they were fully booked. My room was very small (for China's standard at least) and need some major updating. Bathroom amenities were the usual Asian Holiday Inn offerings and love the slippers and robes. The staff were very friendly, especially the ones in the breakfast room. Breakfast offerings were plentiful but the quality was not as good as the other Holiday Inn in another city during this tour. The redeeming quality of this hotel was its location - very central in the old downtown area. Plenty of shops and eateries around and the pillows menu.
As others have noted, the place is a little worn. But everything was clean enough. The staff was excellent. The breakfast has lots and lots of western and eastern food options, including a guy making omelettes to order. I was very surprised that there was no in-room coffee maker. There was a hot water kettle, but no mugs. Seemed like maybe they wanted you to order a drink set from them for a price. This hotel is right next to the North Jianguo Station on Metro Line 2, use Exit C. So pretty convenient to Hangzhou East train station or Hangzhou train station (both of which are near Metro stations). This is important because of the taxi situation in Hangzhou (as in they are extremely hard to catch-- if you use Didi, maybe not so important). It's not particularly close to any tourist site, but it's not badly located at all. You can take the Metro to Fengqi Lu Station and walk about three blocks to the lake, near Bai Causeway at Huangcheng West and Beishan.
It's better than the previous hotel I have stayed in (that used to be a Crowne Plaza but has been taken over by a domestic hotel chain) but still not quite right. I always try and book into Club floor rooms because I will have somewhere to work which is more comfortable & relaxing and there can be other benefits like some free laundry per day etc etc. Here Club lounge is only open 09.00 - 21.00 so you cannot have breakfast. You must go to the 2nd floor. There is a bar - Shooters - which is often empty or with 2 or 3 people in. It has a pool table (hence name perhaps) which can help to pass time but the staff tend to use it !!! English is spoken well at reception and rooms are good with good showers. From the airport it takes about 50 - 60 minutes and cost about RMB 130. If you can get a hotel car at reasonable rates (200 - 300) then do so as Chinese taxi's are awful, they NEVER have rear seatbelts and they drive like crazy, weaving in and out of traffic. The hotel car driver may well do the same (they often do) but it will be a bigger, stronger car with seatbelts !!
Comfortable and spacious room. Clean and well equipped. Breakfast average for large hotels, offering pretty much everything. Chinese restaurant also pretty good and reasonable. One downside is that it is noisy - not the hotel's fault, but by a busy road junction and the Chinese do like their car horns. Not far from West Lake.
Location: The hotel is not really in the city center it is actually outside the main shopping district. Getting a taxi is easy and traveling by Taxi to most places within the city or westlake is not costly. To the shopping district and the night street Hefang Street cost you less than 20RMB. There is a metro line infront of the hotel. Walk across the road there is many local food outlets and stores. Room : Room is clean, tidy and the bedroom is comfortable. Had a good sleep during my 2 nights there. Breakfast: Good variety of local and international food. But the food taste is just average and eatable it is good head start for the day. LASTLY My good time and stay in Hangzhou was ruined by this poorly managed incident. I had booked my 2 nights stay (CNY471 and CNY 582 respectively) and prepaid it 2 months before arrived in Hangzhou Holiday Inn City Center. The amount was charged and fully paid by credit card. When I checked in on 11 Aug, the checkin female staff (I didn’t get her name plus the duty female manager is beside her too) insisted on seeing the same credit card and locking it for security deposit. I understand that a security deposit is required and I had repeatedly reminded her that my 2 night stays is fully paid and she mentioned it was just for verification purposes. I told her few times my room is paid and don’t not double charge it again. I did not signed on any credit sales transaction or authorized any amount to be deducted. On the day of checking out 13 Aug, I checked out normally signing only the checking out form. I did not sign on any credit sales transaction. On 14 Aug I found out that Holiday Inn Hangzhou had charged 2 credit card transaction (CNY471 and CNY582) this is a double payment and it should not be charged. I believed in any country in the world unauthorized use of my credit card is considered a criminal case. I did not signed on any sales transaction and did not get any acknowledgement receipt. How can they make a charged? This is fraudulent use of my credit card. I received a reply that the amount will be returned only 15 days after they void the transaction. As a IHG gold member and stayed in so many different cities. This is the first time such incident happened. It could easily been avoided at the first time when I told the staff and with the duty manager beside. I wonder how many guests had their room stays charged twice. This had indeed dent a bad experience in my stay with Holiday Inn.
