Visited this hotel for 2 nights as part of the Legoland package. Hotel offered 15% off meals and kids eat for free with this deal. Hotel was undergoing major renovations which upon completion will look great and will be well needed. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Room had a double bed and a pull out sofa bed for the kids. Nice size room. Upholstery could do with updating / cleaning. Although it was obvious the bathroom had been refurbed to a certain extent it was obvious which parts of the bathroom had not been touched, there was a serious smell of mould coming from the bathroom which could not be good for kids to breathe in. You could see the mould coming out of the extractor fan. The toilet cistern had a crack down the side and there was a pink stain on the floor which indicated that the floor had not been cleaned. On the second night the heat in the room was just cruel even though we had the radiator turned off and the window open. I have never been so warm and I've had plenty of sun holidays!! Waitress in the resteraunt on the first night was friendly but useless given that my husband asked for a drink which he had seen was on tap at the bar and she came back and said they don't serve that drink here (he then went to bar and got it himself) and she never popped over to ask us if we were ok for everything. The Soup was freezing cold the first night. I could not fault the service we received from every other member of staff. They were so nice. We were then sitting at the same table for breakfast the next morning and I could tell straight away that the carpet had not yet been hoovered from the previous night. Breakfast was great though, Excellent selection. Builders did leave their tools lying about and they were very lazy when there was no hotel staff around (I would assume that work is taking longer than expected) but the legoland package we had was very budget friendly and it really has the makings of being a lovely family friendly hotel.

Everytime we travel from Europe to Plymouth via London, we stay at this hotel! The breakfast buffet offers great value, the family rooms are big and the beds are comfortable and all for a reasonable Price!

I. booked online for a one night stay at this hotel, after reading reviews on here people had recommended to request a new room as they were nicer than the old ones of course. Therefore I went out of my way to politely email the hotel to request this if available, my email was ignored so I sent the email again which I got an immediate reply too. They were very nice about this and stated that if they could they would so I was satisfied! On arrival the woman wasn't very welcoming at all. I was charged £20 more than I should of been charged as the email booking confirmation stated a different price she would of known this if she would of asked to see the booking confirmation. Nothing was even mentioned about my request a simple we couldn't do it sorry would have been sufficient. To embarrassed to say anything I paid the extra. She didn't even tell us when check out was in the morning or where the facilities were if we would like to use the bar/restaurant etc. We came down later on that night to ask the man on the desk our check out time. So when leaving I emailed the hotel again to get a refund sorted for the price difference I had had to pay. Again no answer so I sent it again, I was told they'd look into and get back to me within a couple of days. It's now one week later and still haven't heard nothing! I think it's an awful way to be treated as they clearly don't care about their customers it's all about the money. The hotel is actually very clean and nice and I would have definitely returned and recommended to many if it wasn't for the poor customer service! Festival place shopping centre nearby has very nice restaurants for the evening so worth visiting there just looking into other hotels in the area!

We stayed here as part of peppa pig world offer(2days entry) hotel staff were lovely..we were running late due to traffic after a full day at the theme park. We checked in and before going to the room, we went to the restaurant for dinner. The whole service here was fantastic. Kids meals brought out first and quantity and quality was fantastic. Kids eat free (meals were not small for kids either) and kids got voucher for free drink and we got 15% off food and drink. We were however let down by the room. I appreciate the renovation works..and what has been done so far looks fantastic. We were in an old room so a bit dated..but we could live with that, the problem was that we had litter on the floor next to the bed and there was what looked like a pubic hair in the bath! Had it not have been so late I would have gone downstairs and asked for the room to be cleaned but my kids had both had a long day and were so tired that we decided to clean it ourselves and mention it when we checked out..which we did. Another positive, breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choice for both adults and kids. Again the quality was really good too. I am looking forward to giving the Basingstoke hotel another try as we stay down that area quite a bit throughout the year and would be an ideal base for us. We are hoping that the refurbishments will be completed for next time and that the cleaning issue was just an isolated case as that was the only let down.

Although there is currently building work going on it didn't interfere with a very good experience staying here. I had a refurbished room that was finished to a very high standard. The bed is huge and very comfortable providing a great nights sleep. The shower is excellent. The room is large with some very nice touches. The bar area is also finished to a high standard and the meals are of a reasonable quality if a bit overpriced. Breakfast, again, was of reasonable quality with a very good variety, something for everyone. All in all this was a very enjoyable stay at a good quality hotel.

We recently stayed here when visiting Lego land in Windsor, it took around 35 minutes to get to the theme park from the hotel. The hotel is currently under refurbishment and we were put in one of the older rooms and it was nice and clean. There was a lack plug sockets for charging devices and there was no plugs sockets next to the bed which I thought was unusual. My children (aged3 and 7) slept on a sofa bed which they enjoyed and was ok for the 2 nights we stayed. All the staff at the hotel where very pleasant and helpful. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, in the newly refurbished restaurant and it was very nice the was lots of options for breakfast. The staff where still getting there heads around the new coffee machine, but I manage to get a double espresso out of it ok. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully when it's all finished and try out the new rooms.

We were already told that they were under construction so we knew what we were in for...we stayed here to go to legoland (Don't go) logistically it was fine about 35 mins to the hell hole that is Lego land....hotel rooms could be better but I have stayed in worse....staff were helpful and the breakfast buffet is fab..shame we had the spare wheel from our vw transporter stolen in the car park in broad daylight!!

Perhaps it would been better to just close this hotel and have all the work done when there was no guests around , anyway back to my stay , room was old but clean bed was comfy and slept well , this morning struggled to shave in the bathroom as 2 bulbs were out , my pet hate , would use this hotel again once it has a total make over , until then suggest give it a miss

under renovation and i think under new management too theyll be soon called crowned plaza staff were friendly and accomodating easy check in and out rooms are good size but really needs updating bed was ok but need to update too will come back again if in area it will look fab hopefully thank you for the good service provided

I stayed here with my little girl. The parking was free. The receptionist was polite. My room was. Clean and of a good size. The beds were comfortable. And everything clean. What more could I expect for a very reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel especially as the location is great.
