Stayed for one night on a Saturday night Room was spotless with a wonderful shower Bed extremely comfortable. Everything first class. Could not fault any of the facilities and would definitely stay again
Pleasantly surprised to find this Jurys Inn was a boutique hotel. The location is a bit out of main shopping area and although car parkingt was off site we found the location ideal for a stop over before a cruise.
Having worked in many hotels myself, I know how much hardwork some guests can be. Regardless, the staff on front desk always had a smile on their faces. Room was very tidy and spacious. Lobby was clean and modern. Only little thing was the bathroom door handle was loose, but still functional (petty little thing). Great value!
My favourite central Southampton hotel at which I have now stayed on numerous occasions. There is nothing exceptional but on the other hand- nothing to moan about. Clean rooms, friendly enough staff and great location. I look forward to my next stay.
Had an absolutely faultless stay here. Check in was friendly and informative. Good cocktails in the bar, dinner was average but it’s the same in all Jury’s inn hotels. The housekeepers noticed when we left our room for the day, and checked if they could service it which I thought was a lovely touch. Nice view over Southampton and decent sized room. Got a great deal for a two night winter escape. Would definitely return!
Firstly, we found it difficult to fight our way through the smell of the smokers congregated at the main doors. We found out after entering the hotel that there were a lot of people there as a private party was in full swing, but surely this is not an excuse. Reception staff very friendly, but told us that we would have to order food in the bar, as the restaurant had a party going on. (yes, we could hear it) Room looked clean and comfortable. Dumped our cases and made our way to the bar. Initially ignored by the barmen, as they seemed to be occupied, but eventually got served. Quite expensive bar prices, but I was thirsty so paid up grudgingly. Looked at the menu, and was astounded at the inflated prices. Went across the road at the rear to a fast food shop where we ate at a quarter of the price. Wouldn't normally do this, as I hate fast food, but was hungry and not prepared to pay £15 for the cheapest burger the hotel had on the menu or over £7 for a sandwich. (well, not the one I read) Comfortable bed and no problems with the room. Breakfast time was extremely busy, and 'canteen like', people everywhere with trays, bumping into everyone else. Food just about warm at best. No teaspoons to be found, so asked one of the staff who said he would get some and disappeared into the kitchen. Came back a minute later and said that they had none, but would try to find some wooden stirrers. Returned to table and drank my coffee without sugar and unstirred. To summarise, the hotel is convenient for the port, comfortable and generally well presented, but not impressed with the breakfast rush, the bar and food prices and the smokers at the door.
Booked a superior room for New Year’s Eve and we were downgraded on check in without even being told. They still charged me for a superior room and it wasn’t until check out on New Year’s Day that they told us we had been given a standard room instead. No explanation given or decent apology. We received a Costa voucher and 10% off the food we ordered the night before. No refund on the room! I expected more from the Jury’s Inn.
Lovely hotel Friendly and welcoming staff Clean. Ideal for families and couples Enjoyable stay Ideal location Will be booking again Breakfast fresh and lots to choose from. Reception staff very welcoming
Jurys Inn Southampton is close to amenities and city centre. Pleasant walk through park. Hotel lobby and bar area spacious. Breakfast choice very good. Large bedroom. Bathroom dated but clean and in working order. Would stay here again.
Great hotel. Modern. Very comfy bed. Quiet. Didn’t like the bathroom. They should get rid of the bathtubs for showers. Main problem is parking and the train station is 15-20 mins walk. Otherwise a good stay overall
