Picked this place because it had good TA reviews and was walking distance to a self-serve laundry. We were arriving after 11 days in Iceland and leaving the next day on a cruise and needed to refresh our clothing. Happy with our choice. Front desk staff was welcoming and very helpful with suggestions on nearby restaurants. Room was clean, comfortable, but a little worn with a couple of minor mechanical issues (that didn't affect our stay.) Location was directly across from a very nice park with gardens in bloom. A variety of restaurants and coffee shops nearby made it very convenient. Took Uber to our ship the next day .. about 7 pounds.
The bed Bathroom and bar are all exceptional with great food at both breakfast and diner as well as friendly staff. The hotel internet is also very good and perfect to get stuff done with. It was let down a bit by a very old looking bathroom that should really be modernised. I was also disappointed when I attempted to order room service at around 9pm and no one answered the phone despite phoning numerous times. However, overall it was a decent hotel, in a great location with nice staff and good food and facilities.
Family room needs to be sorting as only 2 beds for 2 adults and 2 children and 1 double and 1 single for 3 adults to share and no on site parking so a bit disappointed in that but food and service was excellent
I didn't and wouldn't pay over a £100 for a room but as it was bought as a birthday gift for me I was expecting a lot better than what I got. Three visits to reception for assistance on three different problems. Breakfast was extra and although I thought that was value for money the staff and the dining area could have been a lot better.
I stayed there for 3 nights there was no car parking at the hotel and it was £12 per day to park, they advertise parking but they don't supply it. the bedroom in the picture looks large but it's very narrow, and only 1 chair to sit in, there is no room for even another 1 chair, when you flush the loo there is a noisey growling nice after for about 20 seconds, it wa raining hard the first day so we watched the tv that kept freezing, test it was clean but some staining on the sheets, also you can't cancel the booking if your plans change, I won't stay there again, prices in the bar are very exsownsive, and there is no FRIDGE, mind you no space to put it.
convenient location, quiet, clean, fresh, the bed is very comfortable and the room is cosy, functional. all you need for a little getaway. The staff is fiendly. Due to the hotel is a bit 'hidden' from main stret with bars - you can have a perfect sleep.
Excellent hotel parking close by staff all very friendly. Great start to an excellent holiday . Two double beds which was great for us as a family. Bathroom very spacious. Good size television straight in front of beds . Good tea and coffee in room . Breakfast very good and excellent value.
Room was clean and quiet and I got a decent nights sleep. Good location from the station. The most memorable thing about this hotel was the buffet breakfast. Excellent choice of hot fry up stuff, pastries, cereal and smoothies.
I have been staying in this hotel on and off for 4 weeks in total, this has not been a disappointing experience, the rooms are light, clean, and comfortable. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and greet you with a smile from Elle the Manager to Dave, Mimmo(this man needs a pay rise in fact they all do),Brad and all the other staff even after the long shifts that they all do, the food in the restaurant and even your room if you fancy is good and enjoyable, having been here so long Elle has been great in offering us theme nights once a week in the restaurant, chatting to us as much as she can with her busy work load and being a great brand ambassador for Jury's Inn, My colleagues and myself has felt welcome and always enjoy our stay, it's going to be strange not coming back any more! Keep up the good work everyone! Ben
Welcoming and helpful staff members. The hotel is conveniently located for public transport, cruise ship embarkation, restaurants, bars and shopping centre. The room was comfortable and spacious with all the essentials to make a pleasant stay. Excellent breakfast with a wide range of food to choose from. A good place to stay.
