Jurys Inn Southampton3.0 out of 5.0

We were visiting Peppa Pig World and the Jury’s Inn was the nearest hotel that was coming up. The outside of the hotel is quite nice and the lobby is spacious and modern. The hotel corridors were also modern and clean. We had a family room, which was average. The bathroom let the place down though. Although it was a large bathroom,it was so dated and old and just didn’t feel very clean. They seem to have renovated the whole hotel, apart from the bathrooms?! We had paid £20 more for a superior room (included a king sized bed and earlier checkin time of 12pm and later check out time of 2pm). On arriving at the hotel at 12.30pm, we were told by Viviana on reception that our room was not ready, but she would happily give us a normal standard family room that was ready and we could go straight up to that room. She acted as if everything was ok and that it was fine that the superior room that we had paid extra for was not ready. She was trying to fob us off and just give us the standard family room when we had paid extra for the superior room. She was acting as though we would not notice. When I asked why our room was not ready yet and how it should have been ready half an hour ago,she then started to backtrack and said that she would look into this with housekeeping and that I could speak to the manager if I wanted. Luckily, housekeeping replied about 5 minutes later saying our room was ready. Viviana did not create a good first impression of this hotel and I thought her attitude when we checked in was unprofessional. Apart from this, the stay was average and suited us for one night only.
Excellent and happy to serve staff added that little bit extra to our stay. Lovely hotel in a perfect location, especially if your visit involves a football match. I will be back and also recommend to others. Only minus was the noise of the traffic but we can't have everything.
Good size room, comfortable beds, decent bathroom. Housekeeping sorted room promptly. However, disappointed by restaurant staff being unaware of customer needs at breakfast to the point of ignoring a child struggling with getting a drink.
From the minute we arrived at the hotel to celebrate my birthday night out, we were greeted with 2 free drinks from the clerk and given all the information we needed for the stay. The room was clean and tidy and everything that was needed had been provided. Plus accommodation for 3 adults had only costed £79!! Very posh too, will definitely reccomend and return again.
Booked for 1 night as wanted a hotel for some shopping and evening out, this was a great price but it is a shame their is know car parking. We parked in a car park the hotel recommended which was about a 10-15 minute walk (snowing when we went). The hotel reception was nice and friendly there is a bar and snack area- we checked in pretty quick and those had requested a cot they advised they would get house keeping to come and bring it to the room. The room was tired but of good size the bathroom was ok but the bath wasn’t that deep and again tired. The cot arrived about 10 minutes after we got into our room. The bed was comfy and their was a tv but no mini bar/ fridge - the room was quiet and we didn’t hear anyone or anything - those their was a hen party nearby. The hotel isn’t a to far walk to the shops / restaurants and would recommend for a cheap stay.
Stayed here for one night. There is no parking on site but there is a public car park 10 mins up the road. The room was ok. While we was sat in the bar a homeless person came in begging the staff only removed him when we complained. Later on in the evening an other homeless person came in asking staff to change money which they ignored until he went to reception and the duty manager was called. They changed the money for him.
Jurys another great visit and the great service from arrival to departure just one gripe car parking, breakfast was wonderful can not find fault with the hotel chain and will always select if available
Very good hotel with excellent staff very clean rooms and a luxury sleep would defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great nights sleep whether it for business or personal staff!!!!!!
The hotel location was very convenient and short walk to the center and other places of the town. It will be nice if they have more people at the bar serving to increase the efficiency as one lady is not enough. The stuff were very friendly and polite.
A faultless stay at jury’s inn Southampton. The hotel was busy, but service was efficient and polite, hotel clean and modern. Good location for Southampton centre and the ferry port also. I would definitely recommend!
