2 Blocks from Above The Bar Street - that's where everything is - restaurants, pubs, stores, groceries, shopping Center, Bakery's etc. Great spot for pre cruise stay. We took National Express Bus from Heathrow Airport to Southampton Bus Station which is 5 minute taxi ride to Jury Inn. Hotel has friendly bar and restaurant - friendly and fast check-in. You might want to have breakfast out as a full British breakfast with everything is just under 4 pound at most of the pubs and it is excellent! Hotel had a very easy access safe at the front desk - they are all individual and they give you a key for it - easy and fast procedure. No clock in room so bring one. Kettle in room with creamers, tea and coffee, good iron and ironing board. Duvet and beds very comfortable. No Ice machine. Very quiet hotel. We would stay here again. Great Value - so much to see and do in Southampton - we cou9ld of stayed 3 nights instead of 2. Also one other tip - after we got back to Southampton after our cruise we took the National Express Bus to Gatwick Airport - BEST TO BOOK YOU BUS TICKET when you are staying here for the pre cruise nights. After the cruise everyone wants to take the buses to both Heathrow and Gatwick and they book up so quick. Just a thought. Anyway you will not be disappointed at all by booking Jury Inn Southampton!
Excellent service from all hotel staff, very comfortable room and a very very comfortable bed! Exceptional breakfast. Location in Southampton very convenient for the train station and all bus routes. Also a quiet location at nightime as Southampton a very busy city in the day.
Close to station on arrival, taxi to town centre and the docks provided by your free phone, situated by many busy roads 5 min walk through traffic for my morning papers. the lifts are amongst the quickest I have encountered in recent hotel stays.
This Hotel is on a large roundabout, but it works well except for dropping off and pick up's, not a lot of parking. But it's central to Southampton shops and restaurants. It has a breakfast service, full buffet for $8. if not included in package. Rooms are large and comfortable, and quiet.
great reception - spotless well appointed 2nd floor room - some public areas a bit tired but under refurbishment - good location close to city centre - some traffic noise as located on roundabout - did not try food - excellent value for £60.
It is undergoing a refurbishment so not nice to walk into. First room I was given was opposite lifts and a cramped family room with no room to move. I asked to be moved and got room a door away from lift. Pillows were most uncomfortable. Restaurant food not great. Had a pizza which needed a steak knife to cut through. Location good for the university if you visiting but is in middle of roundabout. No where I could see nearby to go for coffee or nice food.
My third time at jury’s Southampton, really nice hotel in the city centre close from shops good pubs and restaurants, they serve quality breakfast in the morning. Viviana at reception was great as usual!
Shocking customer service. Very slow staff, food menu not great! Also under going refurb! Very noisey not what you want when trying to relax. Location was fine for city centre, but wouldnt recommend to anyone.
Is a modern hotel, near of the center of the city. The breakfast is very complete and varied. The room 521 is very big and comfortable. The atention in the check-in and check-out is very nice, Vivi and Pui were very kind and help us in all our questions.
My friends and I checked in for one night to go out and celebrate my birthday (13/10) The staff were lovely and I received a free drinks voucher. Our room was totally adequate for the price paid and the room was extremely clean. The WiFi was great and the beds very comfortable. I think they're doing a refurb at the moment. The only negative was no hotel parking. I had to park my car in an open council car park and that made me nervous as it was way away from the hotel. ( it was intact and ok! ) A great stay and would recommend.
