We have just spent a few days at the hotel which was ideal for what we wanted. Our visit started with a very warm welcome from a gentleman member of staff at reception called Atif. It was a very warm welcome indeed and Atif exemplified excellent customer service throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and the hotel and all of the the staff that we met made it feel like "home from home" and we will be going back there very soon !

We booked two stays at Holiday Inn Express, Dunstable for December, 2017. The bookings were made in July, well in advance, for 2 rooms on December 23rd and three rooms on December 29th. My wife booked by phone and insisted on email confirmation of the prices. Confirmation was received in 2 emails: romms on the 23rd were £50 per room and the three on 29th £45 per room. When the chargescame through on our statement we were overcharged by £179.40! HIE Dunstable deny that the written confirmation is binding, also deny the emails even though they are electronically there! They won't answer the phone to us after the first complaint. Subsequent calls to their head office deny all responsibility, they then transfer us, again, to HIE Dunstable, who hang up - repeatedly. I shouldm mention we are polite throughout. We are being ripped off, never stay there, don't trust them!

Booked 2 rooms on New Year’s Eve just as a spontaneous night away with family. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious which helps with children around. We wanted to have dinner in the restaurant and we’re told we didn’t need to book our table just come down when ready. So when we arrived for dinner we were a bit let down to find the chef had rung in sick and there was no food. The reception staff were very helpful and said we should just order take away! could of just stayed at home for that really but they did allow us to feed the kids some fresh fruit whilst we waited for the take away to arrive and the lad on the bar tried his very best to ensue we had our drinks and he did a very good job as it was clear he didn’t have much experience behind the bar as asking us what measures everything should be. Another let down I would say was the mess in the restaurant under the tables and dirty breakfast plates left by the kitchen door from the previous morning. The breakfast was of a good standard the following morning and lots to chose from which is amazing as there is something to suit everyone in the morning.

Much improved since our last visit. Plenty of car parking spaces, though that might just be the time of year. Reception staff polite. Little things like usb charging points on both sides of the bed really useful. Working Smart TV. Generous bed size and pillows, clean and comfortable. Bathroom clean and well supplied with towels. The hanging soap dispenser is great idea (must remember to bring own shampoo though). Breakfast: apart from one eggless morning, breakfast offered plenty of choice and the idea of providing a bag for a breakfast bap if you need to get an early start was a real bonus. The hotel is so convenient for lots of shopping, locally in the huge M&S and further afield to Portsmouth, Gunwharf Quays, Whiteley Shopping Centre etc. Negatives for us: 1. Limited hanging space if you are staying for more than one night. 2. Decaf coffee drinkers get nice Kenco sachets in the room. Ordinary coffee was some unspecified brand and not nice, though Reception did replace it on request. 3. Room 129 is noisy in the evenings/early night and does every toilet flush go past there? Stayed Christmas night and was impressed by how friendly and professional the desk were on check in (I would be p'd off if I'd have had to work Christmas day). Good room, very clean with double bed which was comfortable. Breakfast basic but adequate and paid £60 for two of us inc breakfast so great value. Have stayed in worse for double that amount. Would stay again no issues. Free parking too which is nice right outside the door.

My husband and I stayed here before a flight from Southampton Airport. a member of staff offered to order a taxi for us to the airport. It did not arrive we asked at the desk and they could find no evidence that one had been ordered. No taxi firms were then available in the end a member of staff drove us to the airport.

Despite the large room, the double bed was small and quite firm. I and my wife had an uncomfortable night. However, the staff were quick and efficient at check in and the hotel had all the usual amenities. The breakfast was average but the butter "had run out due to a supply problem". Will stay at a Premier Inn next time.

From booking to arriving, room allocation and breakfast spot on. I am fussy but I could not find fault at all. Worth every penny, I asked for a room away from the lifts and noisy party goers and I had the room furthest away on the second floor at the very end. Customer services got it right, thank you.

This is the second tìme we have stayed at this hotel. This time was a sad occasion for the funeral of my father. So all the family stayed here too. Everything was lovely and the staff were very considerate and professional. This hotel has uts own ample free secure parking.

I have stayed here once before and both times I have found the staff friendly and helpful and the hotel is well maintained and clean. Also plenty of car parking space it seems. The rooms are very well appointed so no need to charge you phone on a socket on the far side of the room! Also if you are working in he evening a good desk with power points and a good desk chair. This basic stuff is sadly lacking in so many hotels sadly. The food was also pretty good and internet was okay but nothing great. I'm sure because this place is positioned so close to the Ageas Bowl that it must get booked out when they have events on there. Great if you are attending something there with just s stroll over the road. A good clean room and decent stay.
