Days Inn Hammond2.0 out of 5.0

I picked this one because of location. Had driven about as far from TX to MS as I wanted to for the day. Was very happy with the renovated room. Was told the work had been finished about 6 months ago and they had obviously listened to guests before they went into rework. No it is not the Grand Palace, but it is a very good quality for your dollar Days Inn. The renovation work deserves a 4-star award. The corners all meet, the new fixtures are all hung properly, the bed sits square on the frame. I have a list of things I check when I get a "Renovated room" and I got way down the list before finding anything to report in to the front desk. My two punch list items: the commode was not set firmly on the new wax seal and does wobble, the safety mat in the shower did not set completely and has already come half-way up. That is way down on the list to find anything wrong. I loved that the new wall lights that were installed over the desk had an outlet for tech needs (One of my standard complaints as I move the desk to get to the wall outlet.) Wi-Fi was fine and breakfast was typical.
The day clerk did not put my room change into the computer. The day clerk called the police at 5:00 am instead of me. Bad time, terrible experience.
This hotel is in the town of Richfield, UT The desk persons were friendly and courteous. There wasn't a refrigerator in the room and I needed one for my husband's meds. The desk person went out of her way to get one for me. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed . The hotel does need to be updated. It is adjacent to a Mexican restaurant. The food was ok. We would stay here again.
My husband and I stayed here last Christmas Eve after spending the day with my family. The hotel is located in what seems a quiet area, and is easy to get to. The price was fair for the type of lodging one expects of the Days chain.
We were pleasantly surprised that Wyndham bought Days Inn. The room was clean and the shower had grab bars. A grab bar needs to be install beside the toilet. The breakfast was very good.
The only thing that I didn't like was the phone was broken in the room and the microwave didn't work other then that it was very nice
After a long day of riding in the rain I decided to stay here. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The bed was comfortable and served its purpose. The room was quiet. The decor was a little dated, but clean
The staff was not the friendliest. The breakfast left something to be desired. No cups or glasses in the room. The WiFi wasn't working. The price for the night was higher than any Days Inn I ever stayed in. So I guess I paid more for less.
This was a very nice hotel for the money. Pillows were a bit lumpy but over all it was a nice stay.
This Days Inn is clean and the room was quiet, even though it is located near the highway. We understand that we were not staying at a hotel that serves a breakfast buffet, but the breakfast was a little sparse and seating in the lobby was limited.
