Novotel Suites Hamburg City3.5 out of 5.0

This hotel is close to Hamburg city center, just a good walk to the river and to other attraction sites. The rooms are excellent for this price and location - my room was very big, with coffee (I think it is $), fridge, very nice bathroom, separate WC, excellent bed, 2 pillows/person, good blinds for the windows, really nice room. Breakfast is average but not that expensive, personnel is nice. Also a nice touch is that the parking overnight is cheaper when paid at the reception (it is a public parking, but many other hotels don't care and charge the public price anyway)
The staff were very efficient and helpful, unfortunately the breakfast service was a bit of a shambles - we had to wait 10 mins for a clean knife and there's not nearly enough breakfast seating for when the hotel is busy, despite that we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
Very happy with the hotel. Rooms were good and suited to a family (2 adults 2 kids). All very comfortable, with plenty of space and a fridge. Great location, near town and only meters from a metro stop. Less than 30 minutes from arrivals lounge in airport to reception. Seems very popular with German families too. Only real issue was that while the breakfast was fine, the breakfast area is just too small for a hotel of this size.
Location is convenient as it's just by metro station. Easy to reach from airport. Rooms, breakfast, service and everything else is avarege. WC in my room was seperated from the shower and bathtub and was a plastic cabin very similar to those temporary street WCs (unfortunately smell was similar also).
very good hotel.close to underground train station and Berliner tor.stay are also very good.breakfast was not world class but got value for money.will like to stay in this hotel next time I am in hamburg
The family room we had was really spacious with 1 king size and a double bed. The room was tidy even though the curtains were broken. What I really found outrageous is the price of the breakfast... 15€ and it was not so impressive. I found it really too expensive for what it was....
The hotel offers spacious rooms and a very central location. Next to the subway station Lohmühlenstrasse (U1) and just 5 minutes by foot to the Hambuirg central station. We did not book breakfast but preferred to grab some variations at the Wandelhalle within the central station, which is way cheaper and offers much better options... However, the hotel is clean, internet is working, staff is always friendly and I recommend this place
Check in was very easy with friendly, helpful staff. Hotel was very clean, room was large, and cleaned every day. Breakfas was very good, large selection which was fresh. The hotel is next to an undergroud station and 2 minutes from the station for the airport, the walk into the city centre was 15 minutes. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
This hotel was very plesent nice staff alsonspoke english so that helped. The family room we stayed in and 2 large beds the kids loved the space it had a table for them to eat at. A huge bath tub and a shower. And free coffee in a morning from reception always a bonus. We didnt stay here bor breakfast so cant comment on that but it was all you can eat for €15 i think. We went to the lidl supermarket just down the street and baught in yogurts fruit and drinks for the kids we even got ceriel for the kids and forgot to get milk and the gentleman on the reseption gave us a bottle and some dishes to take back to the room. Theres a underground train just a walk away from the hotel and if your good with a map youbcan pretty much get all over hamburg jumping off u1 and on to u2 or 3 and 4. We went to miniture wunderland that was amazing and also the zoo hagenbecks tierpark it was outstanding but thats a different review. Theres a small fridge and micorwave in your room. And large windows also a room divider the pillows were not very comfy after 3 days i wanted my own bed lol and it got super hot at one point. We got told on reception that you could only smoke out the front door downstairs but theres a exit door on each landing and if you go out there you can use your key thob to get back in. Im not sure if this was aloud but people were using it. Im not a big smoker but we were having a few drinks when the kids were asleep and i wouldnt leave the kids to go out smoking downstairs but i might have used this door if we were told it was okay. Over all a plesent experience and if we everbcome to hamburg again we would be happy to stay here 😁
Our stay in this hotel was pretty good. The hotel is not really in the center of the Old Town, but it is in front of the U1 station (Lohmüllenbeck) and in 2 minutes you arrive to Hauptbahnhof Süd with connections to everywhere in Hamburg through S and U lines. We asked for our room to be in an upper floor and we got our room in the 10th floor (there are 17). I had read about the lifts to be slow and tedious, but I don't think so. For me they were quick. The room is enormous, and it has a shower, a bath, and the best of it is the view, because it has big windows to see the city. But best of all was the attention of the staff, specialy the guy who was overnight. He was so nice, that we really felt like home. Thank you!! I finally would recommend staying here in your Hamburg trip. Unfortunately I did not taste the breakfast, it was far to expensive for me, and in front of the hotel there are two backeries that serve breakfast for 2.5 euro (coffee + backery).
