Good hotel for a great price. Staff was very professional, friendly, and accommodating. The Mons area is filled packed with history. Wonderful restaurant across the street called A-Mani. Fantastic food and service, as well. Very pleasant stay...will definitely stay here again.
I was at this location for over a month while in Mons and the staff were very accommodating, the hotel was clean and quiet and rooms very comfortable. The bar was available most times, even though the selection of beer was limited. They have laundry machines inside the hotel which is handy when needing to catch up on your clean clothes inventory.
I was happy to come to this very pleasant hotel again. Staff is always helpful, and on this day Jason was particularly so. I arrived tired, but Jason ensured that everything was fine with my room and then offered me an excellent beer and pizza from the hotel bar. Both were very good and the price was quite reasonable. I always enjoy this hotel and this trip was no exception:
The hotel is located in Casteau, which is midway between Mons and Soignies. The room (107) was a good size and clean with the usual amenities, there was no air-conditioning however there was a fan, which is where the problem started, I switched it on and the electric went off, having got reception to reset the electricity I switched the fan on again only for the fan to trip the electric again (my room and others in the hotel). On inspection I noticed that the cable on the fan had been joined together and was secured with insulating tape, I informed reception and as the electricity still hadn't been restored Cedric on reception couldn't have been more helpful and changed my room. There is no restaurant at the hotel for evening meals there are two restaurants across the road, unfortunately they were both closed on the second evening I stayed though that's not the hotels fault, just difficult for someone using public transport. The bar serves snacks (pizza, lasagna), I had to wait ages for my meal to arrive as the bartender was covering reception. Breakfast was very good with a choice of continental and cooked breakfast. There is a bus stop near the hotel, the No15 bus runs between Mons and Soignies which have frequent trains to Brussels.
Part of a package, it was ok, rooms clean but very warm as no a/c but there was a fan, no restaurant open for evening meals but open for breakfast, food choice was not to bad - continental with a bit of bacon and scrambled eggs - average in my view
A very pleasant hotel. Staff were very helpful in all matters. Rooms were clean with all facilities... No restaurant in hotel but one straight across the road... Ample breakfast and quite a choice. Plenty of parking space. Not far from motorway so a good place for an overnight stay
Great staff, very friendly. Great service, excellent fitness center, rooms are clean and put in order very quickly each morning. some of the rooms are a bit small, but none that I have stayed in are uncomfortable. Good access to several areas. About a mile from SHAPE. 2 to three miles to anywhere in Mons. Good roads to Brussels. Not far from the French border; Lille closet city. Great place to see this part of Europe.
Booked three rooms for a family reunion. Thought we had to split up (1 child in our room, 1 in the one of my parents) but this was not necessary since the extra bed in the room was large enough for two persons (there was also a room divider btw). It was very thoughtful that the staff provided a table for 8 in the breakfast room. Breakfast was nice with enough variation.
I have now satyed a few trips It and excellent hotel, with friendly and dedicated reception personnel, especialy Magalie. Easy parking, rooms are clean and serviced. Can order in food. Breakfast is very well stocked.
The AC unit in my room was still a work in progress, but fortunately I did not need it during my stay. The living area had a kitchenette as well so for those staying a while you could make simple meals. You could close off the bedroom from the living room, to make it into two separate sleeping areas. There's plenty of storage for long term guests who want to unpack and stay a while. There is a restaurant in the main bldg, but the night I stayed it was closed for private booking by the folks that arrived in the tour bus. The reception clerk/bartender referred me to the Greek restaurant across the street. Overall it was a pleasant stay, and I had no issues to complain about. Did not get the fifth star because an available restaurant would have been a good option, especially for an area where places to eat were limited.
