The room was absolutely disgusting. Walked in the room only to find long hair, beard shavings, pubic hair, and stains l over the bed and pillows. The bathroom had green/brown streak near toilet paper roll. I informed the staff who said they were completely booked and could not give me another room. There were rows of open rooms nearby mine. Empty. Requested refund and the denied it and said to email an Inquiries email address. DO NOT recommend. Spend the extra money and stay in a reputable hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here from the10th of June until the 18th. The rooms are clean, it was quiet, and even though I seem to be much older than most of the persons staying there, I thought everyone to be respectful and kind and friendly. The front desk is very helpful with transportation and there are even some tours available. The property is in an ideal location for the 26 bus as well as the ocean terminal buses and Princes street. The laundry facilities are convenient too and there is a water kettle in the kitchen, utensils and cookware. Bring a washcloth. There are security doors coming in the main entrance and a secure door into individual dorm areas. The only thing were the sensor lights. Sometimes it takes a second for the sensor lights to come on, so I just had cell phone light on the ready. The rooms were a little warm but better when the curtains were pulled and the top of the window is vented. They do have fans available. The staff was so kind and my only issue was that the room numbers have a rather awkward layout, but they will take the time to show you to your room if you ask. These are dorms, so minimal furnishings, but the bed was comfortable, the room is clean, and plenty of room for storage and setting up camp. Great shower! Hot, great pressure and well lit. I will be back as it is a perfect space to start every Scotland adventure.

Not in the hub of town but close. Great view of Arthur's seat. Good kitchen facility. Bathroom is small but functional.
