We stayed here for two nights to meet up with friends and both Haarlem and the hotel were delightful. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and all the staff we encountered throughout our visit were extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is an attractive modern hotel with an extremely stylish reception area with a large spiral staircase as its centrepiece. Our room was very nice with all the usual amenities and a very nice bathroom, there was also tea and coffee making facilities provided. We did not have breakfast in the hotel so can not comment on that. Haarlem is a mini Amsterdam and very charming with a cafe culture feel about the place, nice little shops and boutiques and there was a very safe feel about the place. St Bavo Cathedral which is more or less next door to the hotel is well worth a visit and a must is The Frank Hals Art Gallery which is truly excellent. There is a large very modern car park underneath the hotel which is not owned by the hotel and it is extremely expensive - €50 for our two nights but very convenient. If you are not prepared to pay that the hotel will direct you elsewhere. We would most definitely stay at this hotel again if visiting Haarlem.
The hotel is right down town. We had a suite but value for money was not overly great. The jets of the tub and shower were rather filthy. They don't have hotel parking and public parking in Haarlem is the worst, we parked by the IKEA and took the train one way and a taxi the other. Way cheaper than parking down town.
The hotel is in a good location, close to the Grotemarkt and St. Bavo's Church in the centre of Haarlem, and an easy 10-15 minute walk from the railway and bus stations, with plenty of good restaurants, bars and cafes nearby. It has a business hotel feel but we found it clean, quiet and comfortable.
Imaginatively designed hotel in a central location in Haarlem just off the main square. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Great location for exploring Haarlem and lots of bars and restaurants close by. We used as a base for visiting Amsterdam due to finding a great online deal. We had a room at the front of the hotel and there was a fair bit of street noise during the night. Overall, would definitely recommend.
Great location close to tourist spots. Easy access to nice walks and sites. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable, but some décor need updating. Good selection at breakfast. Closer to restaurants at night.
We randomly picked a town and a hotel in Holland. We found a gem. It is not near the train station, so don’t walk it. It’s steps from the canal, main square, dozens of restaurants and Chocolaterre Pierre. Staff was awesome, location great, room was better than to be expected. The cozy bar was fun and very clean.
Good location and very clean. Close to everything, but quiet. The room was not very big, but adequate. Beautiful canal and lovely breakfast were about 2 blocks away. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel because we preferred to sit next to the canal but the free coffee in the lobby was a plus. Would definitely stay there next time we are in Haarlem.
Because of the one ways and new construction the GPS got us lost. We saw a parking garage, figured we'd park and find our hotel...it was next door! So easy to slide our luggage up the elevator and into the hotel. The room was not large but adequate. It was clean and amply equipped. The real joy was walking out of the hotel and finding yourself in the center of everything. Great architecture, nearby museums, stores, cafes, and wonderful restaurants. Also the staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoy.
good location in Haarlem, conveniently located. nice, effective people at reception. Bedding is soft, (not for all!) and pillows are polyester. Else, great, clean hotel. Price is reasonable for quality. Double or triple glazing windows make for a very quiet night, even if facing street.
We had booked junior suites. Booking.com said it would be with twin beds. When we arrived that was impossible. The size of the rooms were very different too. Not helpful people in reception. We had to take the rooms they gave us, and they did not offer to arrange twin beds or even two duvets. The hotel is centrally located so there was trafic noise and noise from people in the streets.
