I had a great time there as always

Very good surrounding areas, although a bit away from downtown. Nice facilities, friendly staff, and fast internet (50-70Mb download). The rooms are a bit old and mine was close to the elevator so a bit noisy, but in general I had a good stay. Recommended.

Excellent

checked in at 3pm. did not get a room until after 5pm.

Princess Hotel is OKAY. If your main reason is to visit the Cricket Stadium, it's convenient. Walking distance to many restaurants, close to the stadium, free breakfast, 40 minutes drive from airport and a nice pool. The staffs can do better, not the most polite people. During out stay, one of the hotel rooms caught on fire and the staffs did a great job getting everyone to evacuate. We are so greatful for that. However, Princess Hotel didn't had any back up plans for people like us you didn't have anywhere to stay for the rest of our stay in Guyana. We were literally stranded. Almost 5 hours after the fire was out and we were able to go back up to our rooms to grab our stuff, some things were already missing, this so disappointing that we were in a disaster and yet these people still stole things from our rooms. All our clothing were smelling like smoke and some was damaged by water. I understand that the management had no control in this situation but it would have been nice to get everything from our room and for them to help the guests to find accommodations.

Staff was not nice, I requested towels in my room and it took 3 days to get it. The room was dirty, shower was not cleaned. I had a mixed up where they looked me out of my room, they didn’t even check my reservation, I had to show them. I did feel safe staying there with the security guards with guns outside of hotel. This is a beautiful location it needs better management and staff

Overall it was an average experience. Food was very good and reasonable priced. Some staff were very helpful and some weren't.

The people who worked there was very rude and kept trying to have me tip them every time I had a meal or when I was walking around the property they kept asking me for things. The housekeeping staff came into my room everyday although it had the do not disturb sign. Once I was in the room showering and they walked in with no knock.

The property honestly was ok for the price we paid. The food at the restaurant was great. We enjoyed everything that we bought. The drinks were just right for me. The pool was clean and big. Entering the property, I was surprised that it was in such good condition. It looked updated. We had a room overlooking the pool which was perfect. Inside of our room was good enough. I’m not one to complain about every little thing. I was content with what I had. My only issue was that we went to visit my husbands family for a day/night away and we did not want anyone to come inside of the room. I had to find my own do not disturb sign (front desk was worthless). I made sure to place it there so that it wouldn’t fall off. When we got back a day later it was facing the wrong side. Someone had come in, removed all the bedding and just left it as is. Garbage was not removed. Floors weren’t swept, no tissue was given or anything. These are all things that should’ve been taken care of if the room was entered without our permission anyway. We literally placed the comforter on the bed and slept on top of it since it was our last night. The staff all over the hotel were worthless. The waitresses are rude and do not understand anything. The first night it was very problematic with the waitress we had. Drinks weren’t brought out. We had to order again and again since she kept forgetting to bring our food. She didn’t know anything about the menu. It was just horrible.

I was very excited after looking at the pictures. I make my reservations on orbit. After a long flight and I get to the hotel they said am not in the system. The representative was able to put me in the system, when I get to the room the toilet seat was broken 😡, room was smelling bad. I think for a popular hotel like this, there service sucks.

The hotel did not know that I paid ahead of time for my stay. The hotel cleaning staff did not clean and cater my room properly for my entire stay. A lot of thing in the room was broken(shower head, sink head, safe). A lot of items were constantly missing in the room like (ice bucket, drinking glass, coffee cups, fresh soap, fresh towels rags, and mats)

I had to argue and fight for a room that didn’t reek of smoke also cleaned somewhat. This is by far the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. Was told the restaurant was 24 hours however going down we were told we can just order appetizers at 11. The screen on the balcony was broken off, we kept the door closed however bugs/beetles still showed up in the room. There was black mold in the shower and a dirty reused shower mat that also had mold. Corners of the square sink was still dirty. The rooms were not consistent, first room that reeked of smoke actually had made beds with blankets, also table lamp. After requesting a switch the next room had none of those I had to call for 2 blankets and only received one after over an hour. Lighting in this hotel is an issue as well. Only the bath area has ceiling lights. Not sufficient room to pack away clothes especially for a room with 2 beds. I don’t see why they’d put a clear glass shower in the middle of a room that has 2 beds, obviously this wouldn’t be a couple staying.
