Everyting there was good for our family, room was clean breakfast was good, pool was just step from our room and after that was sea. Perfect is that the hotel is just step away from lamai beach crazy things and the same time peacefull place.
We thought this was an all boxes ticked hotel choice. We wanted a beach front property. We wanted 3 rooms so had to be a fair price and when we where here we found the staff to be super friendly and helpful. We had rooms on the top floor of the new building - sea view suite. These were modern and spacious with all the features of a larger chain hotel. Things to know. The hotel is a little traditional, maybe tired in places and does need a bit of a fixing up. The bungalows look shabby chic and the pool is in need if repair for the jacuzzi section. That said the rest of the pool was fine. The beach does merge with the hotel which was charming and the beach front bar and restaurant was a nice place to spend some time. The staff were the main asset and very helpful. Location, just a short walk along the beach to the centre of Lamai or go via the road a bit longer. Either way no hardship In summary if you want a swanky upmarket, soulless resort avoid. If you want good value for money and a good location go straight to book
Stayed here for a couple of nights on a tour through Thailand. The staff our very accommodating and the bungalow we had was very clean and well maintained. The resort is right on the beach so took advantage of a few massages over looking the crystal blue sea. This resort has a pool but we did not use it. It is a very quiet place but within walking distance from the local town where plenty of bars can be found near mc Donald's. The hotel offers scooter hire which is brilliant if you can ride to go out and explore the island.
Just two nights here thankfully. Was shown to wrong room initially so had to pack again to go to correct room. Rooms were very shabby, bed was very hard, breakfast was unappetizing and staff generally seemed uninterested in providing customer service. I could very clearly hear occupants neighboring my room speaking, coughing etc Cheap yes, cheerful... no On the up however I had a couple of beautiful massages from the ladies in the massage area adjoining the hotel
I cannot say enough about this place the girls and boys there were first class made our holiday really special ten out of ten people see you same time next year I the most enjoyable holiday I have ever had
We had a very simple bungalow, quite small. Unfortunately, you cannot flush toilet paper in the toilet and have to throw it in the garbage. I find this gross and unhygienic - the hotel really should invest into new toilets with better water pressure. Also, shower was very basic. Mosquitos present as well. Only Thai channels on TV, no international channel whatsoever. Restaurants and bars, massage places and laundry in walking distance. The beach is very nice in front of the hotel and there are privat beach chairs for hotel guests. Swimming pool is also nice and deep. Breakfast gets boring in the hotel, not much selection. But quite a good lunch and dinner menu and they cook well. The staff is very nice and friendly.
We booked online and I made the mistake of booking the cheapest room, booked in late in evening the staff were friendly and welcoming but the room was tiny, which wasn't obvious by the photos. The bathroom was so small that the shower is literally next to the toilet with an old shower curtain that didn't go all the way around and the thin drizzle of water seemed to wet the room but wasn't much good to wash in. Bed is firm but comfortable enough. Good Aircon! There were a couple of clicking lizards on the roof which I didn't mind but might freak some out! Next morning we asked about upgrading and it cost about $30nzd per night to upgrade to a garden view bungalow 15a which was 100xbetter! Huge room, huge bed, huge bathroom which had a cool sunken shower with an inside garden! Totally worth it, wouldn't recommend the cheapest rooms at all but don't discount this place as that may be ok for people on a smaller budget and definetely better than any backpackers, a couple or two girls travelling on a budget might love it! Breakfast was nice, didn't eat anything else here but a short walk up the beach finds other nice places to eat and drink. A little way from Lamai township from the street maybe 5-10 mins walk but has some shops etc at end of drive. Nice and quiet tucked down long drive right on beach front. Would stay again but location wise I preferred Chaweng beach to Lamai.
This is a very rustic quaint spot. The pool is tired but they are replacing it next month so that'll be a huge plus. The staff are friendly and easy going. The rooms could use some modernization but they are quite charming non the less. The beach seemed to be quite nice but it was poor weather while we were there which prevented us from getting enjoying it. The location is great. It's in Lamai which is considered to be Chaweng's 'little sister' I'd like to rate this hotel 3.5. It's above average but below 'very good' :-) Happy to stay again after the pool has been renovated.
Stayed for 5 nights. Aircon did not work, and overall the place is quite trashy. When we had to go to the airport the hotel staff wanted to arrange a taxi for us and told us we would even get a special price, only 1000 bat. We declined, and the very first taxi we encountered on the street did it for half the price.
I spent 7 nights here, Spacious bungalow, good shower, hot water, staff very plesant, food good. Nice and close to walking street and fresh food markets. Beach nice, although was rough when i stayed so didnt swim too much in the ocean. The pool is nice and very cold and clean. Beware the mosquitos they are fierce biters, but probably due to the weather. Rooms are cleaned daily and you are supplied with bottled water daily. It is down a long driveway, which is well lit, away from the road., it made you feel very safe. Great stay.
