This was one of our favorite hotels we stayed at during our month long trip in SE Asia. Beautiful hotel, great location, delicious breakfast and amazing staff! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Rock was especially great to us and made our stay even more special! Thank you to all the staff at Rocky's!!
What a great choice !!!! WOW , WOW AND WOW !! We spent 3 weeks in Singapore and Thailand last year and planned our 25th Wedding anniversary to be here at Rockys. Everything and I mean everything was just perfect for us . We spent 7 nights but could easily have spent longer. Great rooms, peaceful location with a private beach. It was just perfect . All the staff were superb and so helpful. We had our own private meal on the beach - "it was just what the doctor ordered" We stayed in a junior suite ocean view - believe me it is a proper ocean view and not just a peek of the sea from the corner of the window. Very highly recommended .
I had such a wonderful stay. My garden view room was lovely with a nice balcony, and the ocean and beach view rooms look stunning. The pools are beautiful and spotless. Loved the seating and umbrellas around the pools and at the beach. Grounds are beautiful, and the resort was very peaceful. Service was top notch. Buffet breakfast was excellent. There is a free shuttle to Lamai, and only 200 baht for a cab to Lamai. The resort was so lovely I didn't really want to leave to explore much though. Used their private shuttle to the airport as well. If I make it back to Ko Samui I will stay here for sure.
Had a lovely week. Food was amazing. Staff so happy and helpful. Massages on the beach were out of this world. Would highly recommend for relaxing. Water and fruit on the beach is a really thoughtful gesture. Served by welcoming staff. Thai cooking course was so inspirational with head chef! Came home and our photos taken on the cooking day were sent to us. Again what a lovely gesture!
Four days was our mistake, just not long enough at this wonderful and intimate resort. The up side has to be we certainly know where to book next time. The people make this great place what it is, plus of course the delightful and well appointed rooms, pools and the surroundings are just to die for! The only negative was the young driver (Tee) who took us to the airport - quite aggressive, very rough driving and talking in the phone made this trip quite uncomfortable but apart from this, a simply excellent stay and we will return for certain. Highly recommended. And the cooking class is a must do!
Recently went to this idyllic location to celebrate my partners 50th Birthday. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special and the celebratory dinner and birthday cake was exceptional - jet lag completely ignored! The hotel, staff, service and cleanliness could not be faulted. Would definately recommend and re-visit.
We didn't stay here but went to have dinner. It was really nice and beautiful with the restaurant on the water and rocks. We sat at a table near the beach and had a set menu which was very well priced for what we got. The hotel had a special cocktail event in which we were treated with cocktails. The staff were very nice, the chef even came out and greeted us which was lovely. Would think about returning and staying however it is a little out of town and not walking distance to anything but for those who don't mind or want peace and quiet, look here.
I had a wonderful time at rocky's- such a beautiful place. The pictures don't do it justice. I would highly recommend it- a little bit of heaven. The staff are just wonderful and such lovely details everywhere. Absolutely top notch. Perfect for solo traveller who doesn't want to be in the thick of Chaweng or Lamai. Relaxing and beautiful.
We recently spent an idyllic 10 nights at Rockys the hotel my husband and I chose to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. Everything at Rockys is beautiful, the hotel and gardens, the rooms and scenic location but most of all, the wonderful staff that are truly a credit to the hotel. We are a retired couple and Thailand to us was quite an adventure so we wanted a hotel where we could be looked after well and Rockys more than fitted the bill. The food in the restaurant was always superb and the staff very attentive and friendly but even during the day whilst spending time on the beach or round the pool there was ice cold water and fresh fruit brought to you which was very welcoming. There were so many little touches like this that made the hotel exceptional, the lovely spa toiletries provided in the bathroom and as well as the usual robe and slippers, flip flops sun hats and a beach bag were also there for our use. On the afternoon of our anniversary we came back to a beautiful display and flowers laid out on our bed and in the dining room that evening all the staff greeted us with their good wishes and after dinner also presented us with a cake. We loved our time at Rockys and would thank everyone there for making our special anniversary so very special for us.
Travelled as a couple returning 2nd June. Rooms are well equipped, clean and beautifully decorated. Good supplies of toiletries and added extras like beach bags, sun hats and flip flops for you to use. Hairdryer not so good, so take your own. A lot of the rooms are up steep uneven steps. The driveway is also down a steep slope, so not great if you have walking difficulties. The 2 pools are small and very shaded with trees, very pretty. Access to the beach pool is also down a slope. The small beach is also accessed via steep steps. The sand is very gorse with lots of broken coral and rocks. Beach shoes can be borrowed from the pool tender, but we took our own. The food is of a good quality and choice. Meals and drinks are quiet pricey. Expect to pay around 3000 Bharts for 2 courses and a couple of beer's. and around 1000 for a bar lunch. We ate out on 3 occasions. The same meal can be purchased for around 800 Bharts. If you walk up the drive and turn right there are 5-6 restaurants about a 5 minute walk away, together with a 24 hour supermarket, chemist and ATM. We also took the free shuttle down to the Sunday market at 5pm and had a really nice meal at Nanatam for around 900 Bharts. Taxi back is around 200 . The staff make this resort. They are warm, friendly and nothing is to much trouble. If flying with Bangkok airlines register for their frequent flyer club and get 10kg of extra luggage free.
