We recently stayed at this lovely quite resort. We upgraded to a villa which l preferred as it was close to pool and breakfast area. This resort is set on quite a steep hill which you have to walk up and down to get anywhere. The restaurant was nice we only had breakfast there, the staff are lovely. Checking in was good - although it is 2:00pm . This resort is not on the main chaweng beach but is a short taxi ride away. If we were to visit Koh Samui again l would probably prefer to stay within walking distance to the shopping, restaurants and beach bars. Overall it was peaceful and relaxing .
We're back for our 5th visit to this lovely resort, can't say enough about the wonderful staff here who make the resort something special,From the lovely Eye,Aung & Nine Nine at breakfast every morning who got the day off to a great start. To the fabulous pool guys,Aow,Rin,Tor,Cha Cha,Boa & O,who are really engaging and make you feel special. Also Lor at the lobby bar he is just a deight. And to the lovely Nong at reception, from our beautiful greeting when we first arrived,to her beaming smile every time we saw her, then when we left escorting us to our van & waving us good bye. Can't wait to come back again!!
Our pool villa was so amazing. It was beyond our expectations. From the very first greeting, to our tour thru the resort, happy friendly staff. Very clean and even tho it was their wet season we have had the best honeymoon we could ask for. The meals in the restaurant gave huge variety from Breakfast thru to fine dining at night. The dinner restaurant had a beautiful duo playing each night that was a lovely touch. A resort we will never forget. We hired a motorbike from SP over the road and he gave us an awesone 3 day deal with a friendly husband and wife team happy to look after us with helmets and fuel included in our rental. The resort is an easy walk, ride or tuktuk to chewang main shopping. Restaurants and amazing views and massages.
This is our 4th and certainly not our last stay at this fabulous resort.. the gardens, pool and facilities are beautiful .. but it is the staff that make us keep coming back.. friendly warm and loving people .. so caring.. always smiling and so welcoming .. Reception staff efficient and most helpful always enquiring where we have been.. just divine .. we truly feel at home here and have made lots of friends here .. particular mention to our gorgeous pool boys who are so much fun and their service is above and beyond.. Aow, Rin, Cha Cha, Lort, Bau and O were awesome .. the staff at breakfast are so sweet and cannot do enough for you .. Nine nine, Eye and Aung were so sweet in the restaurant . Lort in the upstairs bar sweetest guy ever .. we have travelled a lot thru Thailand and stayed at most of the Islands.. Nora beach is by far our most beloved .. breakfast is beautiful with lots of choices .. we stay in a Villa which is lovely .. I love the fact that it is not a modern or trendy decor .. prefer the thatched huts and real Thai theme .. easy walking distance to great restaurants on the beach or short trip into town .. we prefer being on the outskirts not so busy.. we are all ready planning our next years trip .. when you have found perfection why go elsewhere Chris and Brian Australia
We reserved this hotel to be the highlight of Samui, we ordered 2 deluxe rooms with sea view (sounds promising). When we got tbere we realized that the deluxe rooms are actually rooms in a building and in order to have a sea view the rooms are on the 3rd floor with no elevator, when we asked another room they suggested to go down 1 floor (what about the sea view?), because samui was fullybooked we decided to stay. In addition the hotel is very far from everywhere and they charge for the shuttle a nice price (for them). In addition we had a few incidents with the hotel stuff: 1) my daughter was cut by one of the furnitures in the pool, when we showed it to one of the stuff members his response was 'what do u want me to do it is not my responsibility' so we had to look for other stuff members to get a band aid, we reported it to the shift manager later on, we didnt even got an apologize. There were another 2 small incidents that made us feel like we are a burden... I do admit that apparently we were in the worst rooms (although it cost more than double a good hotel in the mid of chaweng) and they have villas that i guess are better (no need to climb 3 stories), in addition breakfast was good. Value for money I wouldnt come to this hotel!
My wife and I spent 7 nights at this resort. We had a garden villa which was perfect. Very private and spacious and outdoor and indoor shower, and good size balcony to relax on. The restaurant had good food and prices, we ate there all but two nights. Staff always friendly and helpful. Grounds beautifully manicured and clean as was the pool and beach area. Although a little out of town there was a free shuttle at set times or with a bit of bartering a taxi was not expensive. It was also possible to take a pleasant beach walk into town. The upside of being out of town is the peace and quiet. There are many accommodation options to suit most budgets. The downside is it is on a slope so people with mobility problems may have difficulty. There is a golf buggy on site but I am not sure how that works for guests as we enjoyed the exercise as the food was so good. Overall a very pleasant stay.
I recently stayed on a solo trip and travelling alone always makes me think I'll be in a resort with loved up couples. Nora Beach was not like that. Its is definitely family and couple friendly. I stayed in a ocean view villa. The view was amazing from my villa. It was clean and more than enough space. It even had an outdoor shower in you happened to be on the beach and want to wash the sand off your feet before you walk in. The staff were super friendly and were more than happy to assist with anything you need. As the resort is so huge there are golf buggies that the staff can drive you around in. I must say its a first but very cool. The town is about a 10 min drive away however they do provide a free shuttle bus to and from the town but there are allocated times for the pick ups. If you need to just find a mini mart there is one down the road which is only 3 mins walk. The restaurant serves some amazing food. They offered a western menu but when in Thailand I needed to taste the local food which the restaurant did not disappoint. On Tuesday nights they have an "all around asian night" buffet theme and a "hawaii night" buffet theme on Thursday. If I ever come back to Koh Samui I definitely will come back to stay at Nora Beach Resort. The staff are friendly. The beach is at your door step and its just a wonderful resort to stay at
I couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. We ate at the restaurant alot as the food was amazing. The staff were so friendly and happy all the time. We got the beach view room and it waz amazing and clean...Thank you
Beautiful hotel and resort built into the hillside. Pool adjacent to beach with very helpful and friendly staff. Chaweng centre about 2km away so close enough to the life but far enough away for a peaceful day and night. Would definitely recommend.
Nora Buri has it all. The staff make Nora Buri. The food is also amazing and the access to the different restaurants, the pool, the gym and the spa treatments. Really this is heaven. The room is so large and we had a balcony. The room was so clean. While we were there the pool had to be closed as there was an engineering problem identified. This was our pool that we were close to. In any other place this could have been a problem. However the staff were so gracious and apologetic for the inconvenience. We were told this news......then two beautiful cocktails arrived to say how sorry they were. They quickly fixed the pool. Again the staff make Nora Buri. We will be back again.
