Stayed here whilst travelling around Thailand, and out of all the hotels we stayed in, we were most impressed with how friendly and welcoming all of the staff were at Le Murraya. We had booked a deluxe room which turned out to be more of an apartment - kitchen, living area and bedrooms were very spacious, and being two girls who take a while to get ready we were very appreciative of the two separate bathrooms! Good selection of food at breakfast, and the hotel is within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and Chaweng beach. Would absolutely stay here again.
I stayed in a deluxe poolside room which was emphatically a suite with a completely separate large lounge with kitchen sink and big fridge and bedroom with all the amenities you would expect with a nice firm bed. Located in a quieter area south of the lake the hotel has an agreement with a sister hotel for beach access that is literally a five minute walk away, the beach being very pleasant powdery sand. The staff are very helpful, I had a dead safe which was fixed quickly and efficiently and are ready to answer any questions. The shower is not very powerful and not very warm but neither of these things was in any way problematic, it gets the job done, but if you are one of those that needs Iguassu levels of water, it may not be for you. For everyone else, all good, A good idea to arrange your airport transfers with the hotel.
We arrived at 10.15am, very tired after the long journey. The girls on reception told us our room was not yet ready but advised us to leave our luggage at reception and either wait on the beds by the swimming pool, or, make our way to the Synergy facility on the beach. We promptly fell asleep on the sun beds! The girls came to tell us the room was ready and we were surprised at the spaciousness and the large Queen sized bed; water provided and also tea and coffee. The hotel is located in a very convenient position only five minutes walk to the beach and the same to the start of the very busy Street where all the action is. However, we preferred to walk the 3 mins to the square where the small market was most nights, a couple of bars (80 bahts for any drink) and places to purchase food from (the Indian was brilliant). Back at the hotel the staff were very pleasant, funny (especially the night porter) and very informative and knowledgeable. They arranged a trip for us to see the Buddhas, waterfalls and ride on the elephants for a reasonable price. I personally didn't use the hotel swimming pool but did make use of the Synergy pool which was pleasant and also took advantage of the free sun beds on Chaweng beach. The breakfast was adequate with something to suit everyone and eggs made to order ie omelet, fried eggs, scrambled, boiled or poached. The girls arranged our transport back to the airport for 300 baht; we had been charged 500 baht in a taxi on our arrival. All in all a good hotel, very reasonably priced. My only gripe with the room was that the wardrobe was not very accessible and there was a total of 4 coat hangers! Safe provided free of charge.
This is the second time I have stayed here and I will be back again soon...hopefully. The hotel is great in every aspect. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the hotel is immaculate. Thank you for another great holiday.
Stayed 7 nights in Deluxe room. Beds really comfortable very clean plenty of storage. Free safe in room. nice bathroom and shower separate sitting room with tv and sofa, table and chairs, staff very friendly, and helpful.
I have recently arrived back from staying 9 nights at the Le Murraya. Upon arrival we were greeted and shown to our poolside room. Unfortunately the room smelt rather musty, darkish and rather dated. But after 3 flights and 24 hours to get there we just decided to go to sleep. The next morning we had the included breakfast, which I found to be adequate. Our room and the seating area outside unfortunately had quite a few mozzies..I had taken a plug in repellent from New Zealand but it was not that effective. Our bathroom tap was very loose and after a quick chat to reception a chap arrived to fix it. But after we returned from an outing and turned the tap on to wash our hands, there was a major leak. We were then upgraded to a Mountain View Suite, which are Level 4.This was an 88 sqm 2 bathroom, very large lounge etc apartment. Lovely views. After settling in my friend started feeling very sick and we decided after half an hour to call for an ambulance. The staff were wonderful in helping me with transport to and from the hospital where my friend stayed for 2 days/2 nights, and also after discharge they provided free of charge a shuttle service to the local mall, which we appreciated and continually asking how my friend was feeling etc. We would have swam more than the once in the pool but the filteration system was not operational so with the high temps decided not to take the risk. We did visit Synergy on the 2nd to last day and the morning of our departure, nice spot.
Lovely hotel..big room..nice bathroom.... But a massive thanks to all the front desk staff,i can only remember one name jazzy i think..but i had my ATM stolen..the guy at the front desk lent me 5000 baht out of his own money..i did not ask he offered.. Everybody helped me more than i could have asked for..let me use the hotel phone for many international calls. The hotel management should be so proud of you all..charming..helpful and always smiling..thank you all so much. David😊😊😊😊
I have stayed at Le Murraya for 4 weeks and had to leave a review. The hotel is superb, the hotel is clean, the rooms are clean, the hotel staff are lovely and the location is unbeatable. I will certainly stay here in the future 5 stars. Thank you for an unforgettable stay. Best wishes Carl Bragg from England
We stayed here for the first time last year and so coming back was an easy decision for us. This hotel has a great deal going for it and this latest visit was at least as good as the first. We had four nights here and it is A place that really cares about its customers satisfaction. Location We arrived on the ferry so got a taxi for 200 baht to walking street and walk to it from there which took about three minutes. This gives you an idea of how central hotel is placed and it is a perfect location for the town and the beach is only five minutes walk. Incidentally, your stay include free use of the synergy beach club which gives another dimension to the excellent pool area. There are lots of bars and restaurants within one minutes walk of the hotel. Try turning left out of the gate and walking 100 yards up – there is a fantastic locals food market there. Rooms As returning guests in the hotel very kindly upgraded us to a junior suite which was fantastic. It was on the top floor and had a huge balcony with furniture and allowed us to really spread out. The room has everything you could possibly want for a comfortable stay. Good air-conditioning, nice bathroom with toiletries, hot drinks making facilities, umbrellas for the occasional rain storm, safe, TV and DVD et cetera. Noise You have to remember this is very close to the centre of town and Thailand is a noisy country! Having said this, the hotel does a good job of keeping the noise levels down. We had excellent night sleep on our first day as the bedroom was at the back of the hotel and away from the road. This suite we had had the bedroom at the front of the hotel so that was more noise but we managed to get a good nights sleep – earplugs helped! It has to be said that I think you would struggle to get anywhere Central in Chaweng that is completely noise free. Pool Wonderful! Set in a lovely garden area it has plenty of sunbeds and parasols for shade and we never struggled to get two together – indeed on many occasions we were the only people using it. Food We were room only so can't comment – we just contented ourselves with buying fruit from the vendors around the place. Wi-Fi Excellent. Free for unlimited devices and working at up to 16 Mb. It works everywhere around the hotel, reached our room very well and you even get it at a similar standard down at the beach club. Some of the best we got during our time in Thailand. Staff Excellent from start to finish. They are very professional but extremely friendly and remember their guests. They are great fun as well and they added a lot to our stay.
We had such a nice stay at this hotel. First of all, the staff is very friendly and is eager to help with any problem we had, whether it was in the middle of the night or early in the morning. I'm very impressed. Rooms are very big and clean! Will definitely return!
