The hotel is nice, right in front of the sea, staff are welcoming. A few things to fix, but overall we were happy with our stay. A few things to say, though. My friends and I spent a week in chaweng cove resort in June 2017. We booked two different rooms: one bungalow and one deluxe room with jacuzzi. Well, as soon as we set foot inside this "deluxe" room it was really not what we were expecting: the corridor and the room itself smelled like mould and the jacuzzi which was supposed to be on a balcony was actually on a closed balcony with a nice view on the sewer! The room was placed on ground floor, and you can imagine the animals that could climb up and end having a bubbly bath with you! We immediately complained with the management who very kindly offered a different room (bungalow in front of the pool) for the same price (we're talking los season, though. Had it been August and had the resort been fully booked?). The rest was fine: comfy rooms, clean, pool is nice, breakfast is not bad at all (although a bit boring after a week). One negative episode occurred when we found the bungalow door open with the staff keys inside it as the cleaning lady had left the room temporarily unattended to "go get some stuff". And this happened twice! Apart from this, I would recommend it.
We stayed here for 6 nights at the start of June. We were recommended this hotel by a friend and it didn't disappoint. We stayed in a double room with jet tub. The room was really clean and spacious, wi fi was excellent and breakfast really good. The staff were really friendly and pleasant. We would stay here again in the future.
We came from Lamai to spend a day at Chaweng beach. After walking down the beach unsuccessfully looking for a beach bar and restaurant we inquired if we could use the sun beds on the beach at Chaweng Cove. The staff said yes and it would be 200 Bhat per person and other questions about where the bars were. I didn't have the cash on me so I went to the beach to get my cash. At the lounge I called a staff member over to pay and ask if it included towels and I was going to order 2 coconuts. At that point a staff member called Pong said no beach towel m, only for hotel. Which we were fine with because we had our own, but out of no where he started to say aggressively (while I already had my wallet out) that we must pay 400 bhat or we can go (several times). I told him that didn't need to be so aggressive I am paying at which point he said he didn't want us to stay and we can go. So we did. I was not willing to support a place that have staff that are so rude to customers albeit only to use the sun beds , have drinks and maybe lunch.
Rooms are clean, but the cheapest bungalows are fairly outdated. Especially the bathroom is no longer up to date with current standards. Given the amount of money being asked per night, one could expect more. We booked this hotel to enjoy a beach holiday. However, upon our arrival, there was basically no beach. The sand behind the hotel was no more than 3 meters wide and packed with 10-20 beachbeds. Offcourse these were all taken. We contacted reception and they told us this was due to the weather. We found this an unacceptable explanation. Taking into account the absence of a beach (in a beach resort!) and the outdated rooms, we asked a refund. After discussing with the reception, they gave us our money back and we packed our bags. After checking out, we went to the OZO just down the beach. Just a little bit more expensive but incomparable!
We stayed in a superior bungalow in the garden area, the room was ok, a tad dated but nothing you can't live with, however we did have a pest problem in our room during the last couple of nights which made it feel a bit uncomfortable. The staff were really nice and helpful, the location is great, just a few seconds walk onto the beach and some nice restaurants nearby, or a short taxi ride into the centre of Chaweng.
I read some reviews on this resort actually after I booked on Zuji.com: some weren't very complimentary but that is undeserved. Some said there was mould in the bathroom, but some people can't tell if a little grout has fallen out of tiling. Grout falls out over time, that's life. This place is a little gem. It's quiet, staff are friendly (contrary to some reviews) and the facilities are good. Wifi is free but only if you put the key in the tag near the door so the power is on to the room: no big thing. Lots of couples singles and families here. If you want 4 or 5 star In he middle of chaweng so you can visit ark bar, then go there, otherwise this is a great little resort. My only complaint is that the gym is a little tired.
What I liked: Quite, pleasant, very good location, beach front is very nice and clean, massage available on the beach, fast wifi. What I didn't like: breakfast (very few options), dark rooms (no enough lights), low water pressure all day long
It is nice, clean, well maintained resort with bungaloos and hotel. Tasty breakfast, nice beach, not noizy part of the city. We had lovely time with our small kids and friends. The sea is shalow and clean. Nice!
We stayed for 8 nights at this wonderful resort. We had a pool side villa - the rooms are clean, spacious, air conditioned, have tea and coffee facilities, a bar fridge, hair dryer and room safe. The water pressure in the shower was great and the wi-fi around the resort worked well. The little balcony off our villa was a welcome space to sit and watch the goings on of the resort. There is also a children's room, gym and library at the resort (but we didn't use any of these facilities ). We found it a wonderful quiet resort even when there were lots of people about. The staff were always very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The restaurant served wonderful food - the buffet breakfast does not disappoint, there is plenty of variety - my husband says their poached eggs are amongst the best he has ever had. On the beach there were deck chairs for resort use as well. The resort is about a 15 minute walk from the main hub of Chaweng, which is a pleasant walk along the beach or along the street looking at the shops. There is a 7Eleven just metres from the resort's front door as well as an ATM. We also did the resort's cooking class and loved every minute of it. There were only the two of us and we both chose 3 dishes each. Chef Sing was wonderful along with his assistant Pop. Do yourself a favour and do this class. Would definately recommend this resort to couples and families.
Resort located on Chaweng beach and 15 minuted drive from airport. Rooms are nice with cleaned bathroom and standard amenities. Alls room have corridors for chilling out. Staffs are not very well trained but friendly and polite. There is children ' s pool and kid' s room for those who bring their kids. Breakfast is normal.
