If you want to be in the middle of the action of Chaweng Beach but also want a bit of quiet and upscale accommodations, look no further than this resort. It was perfect for me. It is far enough away from the music of the nearby beach clubs but close enough to walk to them in less than 5 minutes. No noise at night. The resort grounds were spotless and beautifully maintained. Good security at night. I had a superior room on the second floor. I loved my room. It had a king size bed (so comfy). The room was so large that they could have easily put another king size bed in the room with space to spare. The balcony was very inviting, accessed by double doors so when opened, it gave the room a very nice outdoorsy, regal feel. At night, it felt like you were sleeping in the jungle (but not). Bathroom large with good water pressure. Closet huge with plenty of hangers. Only a few English TV channels but who cares. Mini bar/frig, coffee facilities. Considering all the foliage, there were not many mosquitoes so I was able to enjoy my balcony. Staff was EXCELLENT. So friendly and helpful. Nice beach service (drinks/food) from the waiters. All smiles. Breakfast was simple but plentiful. Pool looked very nice but I stuck to the clean beach. Plenty of beach loungers. No need to get up at the crack of dawn to get a good spot. Beach umbrellas and little tables were available for the asking. Never a shortage. Going forward, I will only stay at Baan Chaweng when in Ko Samui. They do great.
