Staff was friendly, the room was clean, the balcony has awesome view overlooking the entire city. This may be a small hotel, but its unique vibe gives a very different experience than the brand hotels.

Staff are friendly, our room is clean and has beautiful view facing the town. The hotel is inaccessible by car, and a bit of a hike. However, due to its high location, the view from the room and hotel rooftop is gorgeous.

This is our second stay at Hotelito Casa Dionisio. The views from the hotel is what Guanajuato is all about; the staff was very accommodating and friendly, and any request we had was met. The location is hard to get to, and I would not recommend to people that have trouble walking. However, that is why the view is so breathtaking. At first I thought the callejones would be a scary place to navigate at night, but we never had an uneasy or unsafe feeling; only the occasional couple seeking a private romantic walk through the maze. We hope to visit a third time, and conquer the maze of tunnels and not get lost trying to find the parking lot : )

I was in a small single room. It was clean and comfortable. A downside to the hotel is that getting to it involves a significant climb up over 100 steps through the callejones which was not a problem for me but for someone older it might be. The third night I was there they hosted a concert in the lobby featuring a flamenco guitarist with a cajon player which was followed by a nice reception with a nice spread of chips and dips and glasses of either wine or gin and tonics. There is also a great patio on the roof with a fantastic view of the city.
