Good service but the food is not that great. Rooms are a little small

The hotel was really nice, but the window in our room was broken and they couldn't fix it.

Will definitely stay here again. Safe place to walk from and to the downtown area

Good hotel only 2$ Taxi away from town. Does have swimming pool which is very nice

The hotel have a Good service very, nice hotel , good room , locaton, ac/heater , pool Area nice

Everybody was super polite and serving. The breakfast was delicious, staff was very friendly, rooms were very quiet and cozy, recommend it to everybody! The kids loved the slide at the pool, me too.

The hotel experience is good, I only had trouble with room keys and got to know I could get a better price for breakfast if I asked for it during my reservation.

Awesome hotel , very clean and new , i had no problems with this hotel i recommend

The hotel Is very nice, but is too far from downtown.

This was a surprisingly good hotel and good value for money. The rooms are situated some distance from the road so that it's very quiet. it's very attractive, with beautiful gardens, a decent size pool and small but well appointed rooms with the ability to catch up through CNN, a nice touch if you're travelling in Mexico and out of touch with your world. There is free WI-FI which works most of the time but can cut out because of weak signals but this seems to happen a fair bit in other parts of Mexico, My only reservation is that it is located a bit far from the city center - not a problem for me as it's only a 15 minute walk, but it caused problems for my wife who has a hard time with hills and Guanajuato is full of them! No problems for a normal, healthy couple, Staff are very friendly and accommodating,.

The front desk couldn't find our reservation so it took over a half hour and for me to email them my reservation confirmation to check-in. The room was nice, but the window didn't open. At check-out they tried to charge us for the stay again. Make sure the check your bill before you check-out!

I went on business, and found out that internet and all needed things to work were there. I´ve been in other hotels there, and they are not so comfortable.

The hotel is reasonable well situated however not in the centre by any means, walking to the centre takes around 15 minutes or there is the taxi option and keep in mind an up and downhill trek but not strenuous. The hotel looks good and certainly staff are pleasant however I found the place noisy. The communication between hotel staff seems de be to physically go and see rather than communicate through the radio system which resulted in many knocks on my door to check if the room was cleaned, to check the mini bar was full, to check...... I look for a level of service less obtrusive so won't be going back

The place is so relax, is for take a long rest, and many things to know in Guanajuato

A bit dissapointing as this hotel has been redesigned like a modern hospital. We don't see the hacienda and the bar was even closed as it was the barman's day off!!!! Unlucky to stay in a empty hotel. Long Check in to get one of the empty rooms.

This hotel is perfect and comfortable. It's not in the Centro, but it didn't matter. It only took like 10 minutes to get the Market Hidalgo, which is a very nice walk.

Helpful personel. We took tours which were recommended at the bus station, and found them quite satisfactory.Spanish, however, is a must for that kind of tour.

The hotel is beautifully designed, creatively built in and around the remnants of an old hacienda. The first room we were given was a bit small for two, so after we talked to the very helpful front desk staff, we were immediately moved to a larger room, which was perfect. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous, with traditional Mexican and international breakfast dishes and wonderful service. In a quiet part of town (the plus), but a bit far from the historic center (the minus). Overall, however, the trip into town was not a bad walk or cab ride, and the beauty, serenity, and good service of the hotel more than compensated. We would definitely stay at the Camino Real again.

my fiancee and i stayed there for 2 nites. the grounds of the hotel are beautiful. nicely located. staff is very helpful. rooms are spacious and well furnished. ideal for both families and couples. definetly would stay again

We stayed in a king room and the ceilings were vaulted brick - beautiful! I thought everything was really comfortable, the workout room was great - two treadmills, three bikes, weights - the pool was a nice area, but I don't think heated...we didn't go in, but did enjoy just reading at the side. The staff were all so friendly and did their best to be helpful and welcoming. The restaurant was good, but overpriced, but sometimes it was nice to just have a quick bite there instead of walking down the hill to town. Guanajuato is a great little city with so much character and such friendly people. The Camino Real is up a hill from the market/theater area...about a 10 minute walk or a $2-3 cab ride. We were at the Camino Real for a vacation and friends' wedding and it seemed to be a really accommodating venue - little chapel, nice sized reception room - everything all in one place.
