The resort is located at the center of everything and it is really convenient. A Lot of nice restaurants within walking distance. Although the room was just ok, the ocean view from the balcony was amazing.
Probably the best hotel, if you want to have a "family beach vacation". The Tumon bay is a shallow and clean bay, protected by reefs. A perfect beach, if you have small children. Also, this beach is secluded from all other hotels on the Tumon bay. The pool is nice, too, but you feel a bit silly using the pool right next to the perfect beach waiting for you. I stayed at one of the top floor and had Royal Beach Club privilege. That was nice, because they provided good breakfast for my family for 4, and had snack stashed all the time. If you drink, they give you free drink as well. My kids are always happy to receive Westin Kids' Club packages. In addition, beach cabanas can be reserved for free with Club room reservation, and it is like a queen bed with a full sun shade. My favorite part was to order food from the bar (which was surprisingly reasonably priced and good quality) and deliver them to the pool side or to the cabanas. The lobby of this hotel was very nice, too. The room was spacious. The room we stayed first time was modern and renovated. They gave us free upgrade to executive suits, for the second time we stayed, but that room seemed to be waiting renovation. Don't get me wrong, the executive suits was still awesome. The only issue that I had was the noise from Club Foxy, across the street. I do not think there is much they can do, but it was annoying for a family vacationer. It was a while ago, so this may not be applicable now.
The hotel is located in city center and there is the city shuttle bus stand in front of the entrance. The size of room is very big with modern furniture, I love the mattress, their shampoo and lotion, all good quality. The hotel also has a private beach, it's very clean and organized.
Horrible experience. 1) Lounge has no coffe cups to go. 2) Check in 35 minute process. Keys don't work when asked multiple times to room or lounge. Staff is frankly not competent. 3) Shower broken. 4) Decaf coffee in the room only. 5) No oatmeal contrary to what told by staff for morning meals. 6) No correction in fixing things by staff when told on second trip. I am a Marriott platinum member and have stayed over 2,000 nights thus far. This hotel is dated, aged, poor service, lack of detail, living off a brand that once meant something. Would never stay again. The hotel never offered any compensation or way to fix the above mentioned things raised. Horrible. Stay at the Outrigger or other in Guam. Don't be fooled.
Hotel was very central, beach had beautiful white sand but the beach hire craft stall that is on the beach only starts hiring at 8am and finishes hiring at 4pm as their stall closes totally by 5pm. I was there on business and had this wonderful acqa water in front of me but could not hire any water craft as the hours of operation were for holiday makers. Rooms are big but in definite need of refurbishment. Service was good and friendly but would most probably not stay there again
We went here for a relaxing stay during the holiday period. The staff were mostly very helpful, even in booking experiences they had no affiliation with. The room was good, just a bit too high humidity in the room. Seems it is constantly damp. The pool area is nice, missing a small kids pool though. The beach is clean with fabulous clean water. We enjoyed the moonlight barbecue, but they stopped replenish the buffet almost 1h before closing time... Anyway, liked that as well.
Great hotel!!! Great service!! Everyone took good care of my family from the door, front desk, housekeeping and restaurants. My room had a great view of the ocean and it was cleaned and maintained well. Thank you!
Not a good hotel to stay for family trip. A lot of bathroom equipments are rusted. In addition, it took the stuff more than 30 mins just to get us new toothbrush. Not recommended at all. The ocean view room only have little view of ocean.
In my reservation thru spg, I indicated that i will arrive by 11am because of my 4 am flight. Upon arrival at 11, they said that there is no room as they have high occupancy. That I understand. The room for me has just been vacated at 11 am. I requested if they expediate as I have not slept for the night. By my watch, it took them 2 hours to clean and another 30 minutes for the quality control supervisor approval. I checked in at 2:30 pm. This is not the front desk fault. The location is good, I travel via the re shuttle trolley for the duration of my stay. As i enter the room there was smell from the carpet, which I did not mind as I needed my sleep. House keeping was good. Beds were comfortable. Room was good size, and the partial ocean view was ok as the hotel was perpendicular to the ocean, so the beach view room was not worth it. My wife complain that they charge for use of Jacuzzi. Hotel is Spg quality, there has been refurbishment maybe except for the carpet. The front desk has big SPG sign, but the are not aware of the double point offer till April. My poor rating is based on my spg hotel experience.
Arrived hotel from a red-eye at 6:45am. Booked three rooms but for some reason my name was missing. Lame explanation that reservation must have arrived after 6pm when department was closed. Yes we booked on Thursday night but arrived on Sat! So what have reservation department been doing on Friday??? Manager said housekeeping doesn't come in till 8:30 so earliest I can get a room is 10am. What??? I said you must have some suite or room that I can take a quick shower and change? I came in a red-eye and have a 8am pick up for diving. I can check-in later in the afternoon. Nope. Not even apologetic!!! He offered me the locker room to shower and concierge to store my luggage. Thank you very much! The room was ready at 10. Bed was comfy. Nothing to complain about. Don't expect a full ocean front view. The hotel is perpendicular to the beach. Finally got my nice flip flops stolen on hotel beach. Luckily I only brought 15 dollars and snorkel gear. Hotel staff said the locals must have done that. They used to hover around hotel property and sneak in rooms to steal stuff. Now hotel upgraded security and needs a key card to get to guest floors. But still, be careful and don't left valuables unattended. There is a booth on beach that rents snorkel equipments for 15 dollars. If you are not a strong swimmer please don't swim near the breaking waves and always wear a life vest.
