This hotel should not carry the Carlton name. Mattress was terrible and smelled of some really bad perfume. the towels and bedding were dirty,The carpet is worn and stained.we moved to 2 different room within the first 10 min unsuccessfully. We were desparate to get out of this place,so we try to get help from orbitz and the hotel wouldn't give us a refund. We did lose or money for 2 nights. DO NOT STAY HERE !

My family and I are having a wonderful stay here at the "Hotel Misión Guadalajara Carlton". This Hotel is under rated. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The location is great, close to Av Chapultepec Sur, the Americana district, Street Market, Centro Cultural and 15-20 minutes to the Punto Sao Paulo and other nice areas of Guadalajara. This hotel has all the Amenities such as free bottled water, free WiFi in all rooms, pool, hair salon, Laundry/Dry cleaning, Hair dryer & Iron in rooms, and Business Center, Conference space, Concierge services, Tours/ticket assistance, Bar/lounge, Restaurant, Free self parking and much more. The Breakfast Buffet is a must... great food and a wonderful friendly staff with great service. "Especially Alberto" he gave us such outstanding service and care. From his warm friendly greeting to his anticipating our every need. Alberto is always going out of his way for us. He makes you feel very special, however he is this way with all of the guests. We highly recommend the Hotel Misión Guadalajara Carlton and we will be back soon!!!

much too far from the historic center. If you have to walk back after dark, it's a bit deserted around there. On the plus side, the room was large, but my room had an adjoining room door along a wall and that allowed sounds to come through quite clearly, such as conversations or neighbours coming in late, etc. when I mentioned this at 2 pm one morning after being woken up, the front desk guy told me every single room in the hotel was like that. Also, you have to request a coffeemaker, it is not automatically placed in the room. I received one, along with a pack of decaf coffee, when I asked for regular coffee at the front desk they told me decaf is all they supply, yet the following day I got regular coffee. I was on the 11th floor yet I could hear lots of traffic noises. Oh, and check in was chaotic, huge numbers of people ( tour buses full) and only 2 people at the desk. I had lunch at the hotel restaurant and food was bland and ordinary; expensive for no good reason.

The staff was kind and very helpful, . The towels need some improvement.

First time at Hotel, seem different on the picture, was expecting better condition on hotel, carpets where kind of old.

The staff was very nice and always did their best to make sure we were happy. The lobby has a nice restaurant. The food is delicious though it did take around 45 minutes to get waited on and get our meal!!!! The room we stayed on did not have AC!! The hot water ran out twice! and the window curtain was broken Later I found out that the 19th floor is the only floor with no AC, and it is used as a " reserve" when all the other floors are filled! so if you stay there make sure you get a room with AC.

We always enjoy staying here. The staff is very good, and always there to help you!

This hotel is excellent for business or short stays. Its a very clean hotel with a very convinient location close to shopping center . Great value. The staff is very friendly. The junior suites are big and confortable. I will definitely comeback to this hotel.

Hotel is in very good location, bus to travel to small towns around Guadalajara is at walking distance. Also like 5-10mins from downtown. Bad service when checking in, they did not want to give me the room I reserved,[...] Toilet was not working properly. On a good note room was very spacios very nice view to a main street where there was a parade going on. Restaurant is not too good and they take really long to serve eventhough there was barely customers. Overall I would rate it a 3 out of 5. I would not stay in the hotel again, I have stayed in many hotels in Guadalajara, and this one was a disappointment by comparison. Yet it may have just been a bad experience.

excelent instalations and staff

this hotel is situated in a great location. walmart is just across the street. rooms are clean and spacious. they only offer free water bottles on your first day, but you can purchase water at walmart.

Good location within walking/taxi distance of the historical sites, and Walmart across the street(best xcange rate).5-star-like for price with helpful Englsh speaking vallet drivers. Spacious lobby, nice restaurant and large pool. Slightly understaffed, no ice machine and room service takes 45 minutes for anything. No microwave or refer in room and checkout long process to check mini bar. Took 2 hrs to get towels and about 5 hours to get second room although busy day. Clean no AC temp controls.

The hotel in question is not an appealing one. This hotel has multiple issues to prevent from living up to even the worst expectations. This hotel is located in what seems to be the worst part of town, far away from any attractions. The hotel itself is old and dated. The furniture looks like it hasn't been changed since this hotel opened. Everything looks old and feels dirty, including the beds. The water in the room was dirty (it wasn't clear, but rather a light brownish gray color), preventing me from feeling comfortable when I showered or brushed my teeth. Some of my family members even obtained rashes from said water. The overall experience was terrible.

Is in downtown, near museums, san juan de dios, etc... The stayed was nice and the staff is really nice. Nice rooms.

The hotel was average! The food threw me off a bit! The salsa (served with every meal) was below average. Watered down. The Filet Mignon did not resemble Filet Mignon at all. Overall the accomodations were not that bad! If I were to go again and not be spending my time at the hotel during the day, it would be fine. Unfortunately my plan was to spend my time at the hotel and this is not the hotel for that. You definitely need to go out and spend little time at the hotel.

The location was perfect, since we only had to take the bus in front of the hotel to get to downtown. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend it.

No hot water. It was more cold than warm. Otherwise it was nice.

The hotel was clean and the people were very helpful. Just had one meal there and it was good. It has a good gym but didn't use it. There was a nice bussiness center too. Well were ther just to do some shopping and the location is in a good place for that.

Mision Guadalajara was a great disapointment. The matresses were old the sheets were very worn, the pool was cold, and the front desk attendants were very unfriendly. The location was good and the lobby was beautiful but the rooms are very dated the beds are small, we are not very tall people and our feet were sticking out of the bed. The matresses were just HORRIBLE including the bedding and pillows. The air conditioning did not work properly. The rooms are clammy and there is no ventilation.
