Unfortunately, the hotel is under renovation and certain areas look really bad (trash, materials, equipment, etc.).

We have stayed here twice in the past couple of years, and they are not good with knowing what they are doing at the front desk. My husband was taken to rooms in a building that was being worked on, and told that is what he paid for. It was not the room pictured on Orbitz, not what we bought, and not what we got last time for less money!?!? The girl at the counter at that time, gave him a bad time about getting another room (they always say they are full, and THEY ARE NOT!!), and they made him pay an additional $500. pesos per room!?!?

Warm and Beautiful, will recomend, good for the price

Security entrance nice hotel at top of the hills you can see the city at any side of the hotel the restaurant close 12:00am

Ac in the room didn't work, lady at the desk said she would send someone, no one ever came, finally after 2 days of no AC wife went to desk and complained for 4th time and they moved us to a new room. New room was nice AC worked but was infested with bees. My wife and son both were stung. Will never stay here again. Hotel use to be nice but has gotten bad in the past few years.

Stayed in one of their remodeled rooms. Very nice, however there is no phone. Yes, they have not installed phone lines yet. The hotel has so much potential but it seems they don't want to invest in upgrades to the facility Did the Cena Romántica pkg with room decoration The experience was excellent; the food was not. Nevertheless, still worth the experience because my better half loved it.

The hotel needs a mayor up grades, the room we got we have to go up 3sets of stairs,no connection to the wi-fi,the staff not to helpfull

The hotel is situated at the top of a hill and reached by a winding, cobbled road. The room I had was huge with two queen beds. It even had a fireplace. The room needed a coat of paint and some of the old tile work in the bathroom needed some work. The hot tap in the sink in one sink dripped and the hot tap in the other sink didn't work at all. The bath was clean but had rust stains around the drain. The carpet in the room had many stains - presumably from beer of wine. There was also the usual musty smell one often gets in warm climates. Despite all of that, the room was airy due to its high ceilings and the bed was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent. The staff were good, the food was excellent and cheap.

Bad condition rooms, bathrooms, carpet very dirty, staff friendly, but hotel conditions very heavy and very expensive

All of the staff were super nice. Our room was ready when we arrived. Everything was clean. Had a real nice time the 2 nights we were there.

Hotel needs a lift a lot of basics don't work Poor or not A/C An infestation of mosquitos Very unprofessional stuff

It is not the best hotel in town but you can have a good time. The staff is kind and helpful

Hotel is hard to get to, rooms are old and needs updating, especially the bathrooms. Only thing a liked is that is close to the airport and bus station. It's fine if you stay overnight. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the area felt safe and quiet.

We made two reservations, one for us in a king bed room for one night, and one for family for two nights. I arrived separately, and they forgot to tell the front desk person that I was coming late (which my husband had made clear earlier), so we had to go through a whole ordeal making calls, and wasting time to verify. Then, when we checked out, they said they didn't have a reservation for the second room for the second night, and I showed them my reservation confirmation from Orbitz, and they said they never received it. Again, a waste of our time and patients. They are "trying" to upgrade the facilities, but they are pretty worn. Finish one project or one section, and then move on. Nice view, nice pool, and the restaurant was decent. Probably not a go back to place.

Not what was described in webside, no ramps, no elevator, no phone in my room, no wifi terrible phone reseption, restaurant food really bad

The first thing that I asked for in my reservation was a hotel accesable with a weelchair and there was no ramp or any other way to get to the hotel room on a weelchair. There was also no other way to take my mom to the resturant other than have two employies carry here up two flights of stairs. I also asked for a room close to restaurant, they said that they will charge more, finally they got another room but I had to waist for 4hrs by the phone, waiting for the room number. And i had to ansist for a new room. The new room did not have a phone line so everytime I needed service I had to walk to the front desk, the floor in the hotel room was uneven, the carpet had stains which maded the hotel look very dirty, sheets had holes and were ripped, towels were very old, the pictures that you had on the website looked very diffrent then in real life, food in the restaurant really bad and because I did not have a phone line in the room I had to go to the restaurant to order room service, the sofa-bed was in such bad shape that my son had to sleep on the floor, it was a 1 star quiality hotel, i am very disapointed.

the hotel has a lot of potential but it needs new management to take care of minor thing that would really contribute to a more pleasing stay. Our room had beautiful views but right next to it, it had lots of pipes and other construction materials that seem to have been abandoned there for weeks. I asked the staff to remove therm but they said that they could not because there were still remodeling other rooms and they did not have approval from the manager to remove them. It would not cost much to pay to have them removed!

At first staff was somewhat cold and impolite. But the longer into our stsy the friendlier and hospitable they became. Restaurant service was on point food was really good have no complaints about the quality and options. Pool was always clean. Only complaint is the tv options only one channel in english and no english subtitle options for the other channels. Other than that the rooms could be upgraded and or remodeled but really enjoy the rustic feel of the obviously historic grounds. Would definitely stay again in the future and the price is unbeatable!

Must have been a beautiful place in its prime. Needs some serious updates. Beautiful view of the city at night. Pool water was murky and looked dirty and didnt see any filters working. Food was not great in restaurant my rice was served uncooked and really dry. In my room there was used toilet paper left behind the toilet by previous guest which was disgusting and also theres a weird box thing in the closet that also had used dishes and food left from previous guest really gross. The cigar shop is like literrally a little shop for swim gear and like 4 different types of cigarettes which was also dissapointing. The bellman was nice and helpfull not so much for the reception staff may need customer service training. So would I recommend the hotel? No. Would I set foot in there with my children? No. The hotel needs some serious work with its staff, its cleanliness, and needs a serious facelift to get it up to par with the surrounding area hotels.

The staff did not help anyone take their luggage to their rooms. Our party had seniors and young children, including a baby and everyone had to carry their bags and suitcases up flights of stairs to their rooms The baby; our 3 year old daughter and an 18 year old cousin went into the swimming pool for a short time. All three had to be taken to the hospital and a private clinica to be treated for E-Coli. The front desk was notified that we had an emergecy situation and needed them to send the doctor...We were told that the doctor was not available and that we should take them to the cruz roja! They would not let a taxi into the property and we waited over 11/2 hours before finally getting our own off the road. When the manager was asked why she did not respond and come to our rooms to assess the seriousness of our situation she said that she had her routine responsibilities to do also. The baby was hospitalized twice and the 18 year old and the baby were both hospitalized in the USA for E-Coli contrcted from the water in the swimming pool.
