We had great staff, who could speak Spanish and English. The grounds were amazing. The beds were super comfortable. The restaurant was great with excellent food and lots of variety. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It's definitely not cheap for the area, but it's so beautifully appointed and charming that it was worth the extra expense. Staff is helpful and always available, which was appreciated. The rooms were beautiful, we did a 'girls trip' so the three of us shared a mountain-view room. The pool area is beyond gorgeous, with views of the lake. We did spa treatments just about every day; I loved the spa menu and the thermal water ritual room is amazing. This is definitely a hotel built with romance in mind, so I'd definitely recommend it more for couples, though we did enjoy it as a girls trip as well because it was so beautiful and peaceful. There are no children allowed and they don't have any 2-bed room options (we did a king bed and a rollaway bed for the 3 of us and it worked perfectly). It was a short drive into town from the hotel (we had a rental car). One big thing to keep in mind: no WiFi! Their reasoning is that it's a resting hotel, but still, WiFi is kind of a must these days. Anyway, overall it was just a really lovely, luxurious, magical stay overall! I hope I can come back sometime.

We stayed at El Chante Spa and Hotel in October of 2017, we took a 3 week vacation to the mountains of Mexico and Lake Chapala, the Hotel is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly and helpful, we had a room on the 4th floor, but we didn't have a nice view. Thank God they have a elevator, the swimming pool is absolutely beautiful, with a Hot tub too, with plenty of hammocks to take a nap in. The hot water is a issue, it takes forever to get to your room. I am a BIG GUY and they actually had a shower rube that fit me. Now the restaurant needs help, the food is ridiculously expensive, just a Hamburger was like $160 mxp The Burger bun was black, with very tough meat that is frozen, the French Fries were hard and not cooked correctly. Breakfast comes with the price of room, and that was ok. We were there 4 nights, and only eat lunch one time at the Hotel, if they get a better Chef and lower the prices, we would have eaten there more often, this would keep them from Freezing everything. Would we go back to El Chante Spa Hotel, absolutely NO! Chef Bob Lissandrello Yucatan Food Critic

This property, although beautiful, staff does not speak any english, the food menu is limited, dogs are barking all night long and roosters to wake you up at 5am. The property is too far from main city. You have to cab it or rent a car. The hotel is in a very sketchy area. When we arrived I didn't want to get out of the cab. Unless you get the balcony room, which I thought we were getting??? room was very small not even room for a table and our window looked out at the hallway. Couldn't even open the curtains unless I wanted everyone else to see into our room. Would never go back.

I felt the most relaxed I've ever been after an hour long massage and a facial. The facilities are the right kind of kitschy and fun, the food was really good as well - I had breakfast and dinner. Overall it was an awesome time and I look forward to coming back soon. Plus: conveniently close to the city!!

Really recommend this place if you're staying with a couple or friends. A bit pricey but completely worth it!! Beautiful hotel areas, large and super clean rooms, nice pool area, great food for breakfasts, excellent location. Overall an AMAZING place!!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

The treatments and the spa were great, but... the first nigh we could not sleep because of the loud music and the second night barking dogs kept us awake! The Temazcal experience was particularly enjoyable.

It was a big disappointment. The first day we had to shower with cold water. The next day we talked to reception and sent us a maintenance person to fix the problem. When we got back from breakfast they claimed that water was coming out fine, which wasn't. We had to go with the maintenance person and open the shower to prove ourselves. Their proposed solution was to leave the shower on for 20-30 mins until hot. When questioning the hotel's level of service, the hotel manager, instead of apologizing or even trying to make our experience better, laughed and just showed her expressions of indifference. When we told her that having the shower on for 20 or 30 mins to get the water to get hot was a waste of water, her answer was that that water was also used for gardening, so it wasn't a waste. Very disappointed by this.

Not only is the view breathtaking, ALL THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE make you feel cared for. They pamper you and help you out with every single detail. The massages are exquisite, and make you wonder if you should visit them once a week <3 The food is delicious, and eating in this peaceful ambience with such a beautiful view is just awsome. I had heard from a loot of people about it being exceptional but I did not try it out until this year, and had to go back once more. I highly recommend it.

We took a girls trip and it was truly amazing. The manager Fernando went over board trying to accommodate 5 crazy ladies. He set a table specially for us away from the rooms so we could have our dinner as requested, he upgraded our room, the service was simply outstanding!! The food was an incredible surprise, they have an amazing chef, we were quite surprised and very happy to have such quality food!! The Spa is good period, they could give it a punch, but again the service was outstanding!! Everything was very clean & orderly. We will definitely go back. All it needs are a few updates and fresh flowers!!!
