The light fixture in the kitchen needs to be cleaned out a flies. The key doors are very difficult to unlock and unlock. The bathroom doors do not lock which is not safe. It was nice having tea and coffee available and we were attended to quickly when we first arrived. We felt that overall the place felt a little tired.

Views are breathtaking. Enjoyed sun setting behind Kirkjufell from our living room. Well maintained apartment that was very spacious.
We absolutely loved staying here during our trip. There was a snow storm during our drive to Kirkjufell. The property owner was available for a call and gave helpful advice regarding road and weather conditions. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by him. Our room was clean and spacious, with a beautiful view of Kirkjufell Mountain across the water. Of the 5 places we stayed during our trip, this was our favorite!
The host was very sweet and met us at our apartment. It had 4 twin beds but they were so comfortable. The location is just outside of town - just a 1-2 minute drive. We had a view of the hills and fields in back but out front is the bay. The little kitchenette is perfect for storing some snacks. No breakfast to be had in town (that we could find), so I recommend stocking up on some yogurt and breakfast bars if you like to get an early start, like us.
Excellent views of Kirkjufell mountain to fall asleep and wake up to. Great value for the money but the accommodations are simple. There was free coffee but no breakfast served. The town was only a five minute drive away, just beware the grocery store there closes early.
The property has a common kitchen that connects all of the rooms. Unfortunately guest have access to the kitchen 24/7 and use it at all hours. To make matters worse, the doors to the rooms allow all of the sounds to the kitchen into your room. I also didn’t like the fact that the rooms were not “freshened” during the day. This “Guesthouse” is pretty much self serve and if you need anything the staff is hard to find to get the help that you need.
The manager was organized and left a note for me for check-in instructions given that I was arriving in the evening (and they were likely off early for the holidays). The facility was clean and I liked the no shoes inside policy. There was a nice kitchen if you wanted to cook but it was in a general area. The room looked nice but the shower was a very tight space, and I'm not obese. The main thing that was disappointing was that there was no soap/shampoo for showering, which caught me by surprise. It was also unclear how to check-out - I didn't feel comfortable just leaving my key in the door at the end, but that was how it was to be done. Overall, it was a nice clean place and in a very convenient location.
