Great team front of house, very welcoming and helpful. Hotel in a convenient central location. Breakfast is not included, and is pretty expensive at €16. But if your not a big eater there is free coffee on each floor and a supermarket 5 mins away.

It was a great hotel and room. The room was clean and they are very aware of sustainability. One thing : the costs of breakfast are vert high. I eat one Little bowl with yoghurt and muesli, so 16 euro's is very expensive then :)

Situated just a short walk from the city centre. Reception staff are extremely helpful and speak excellent English. The hotel is very clean and modern. The only negative is the room is on the small side, as is the wardrobe but both were adequate for our 3 night stay. A complimentary Coffee & Tea machine was located next to the lift on each floor. Secure parking is subject to availability. Breakfast consisted of a good choice of continental with sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs. Would definitely stay here again.

I have been to Groningen one a year around September time for the last two years. Last year I stayed at the Hampshire Hotel - Groningen Centre, and really liked it. But as I left the booking a bit late I went for the for this one as they had rooms. The hotel staff were lovely and more than accommodating for English speakers. The rooms are nice and clean and pretty modern. The room wasn’t the most spacious but large enough and the only real down fall was the view from the window. Which consisted of the roof and wall of the adjacent building with a spiral staircase. But the hotel is in a central location so that can be forgiven. The parking is a small walk away so try and contact the hotel beforehand to get that figured out as driving around the city centre can be a bit difficult at times. So in summary try get a room at the Groningen centre as the room was more spacious, had a better view and the parking was under the hotel, but if you’re too late, then this is certainly not a bad hotel to stay at!

Booked a two night stay here thtogh booking.com but they messed up. So after a five hour motorcycle drive in torrential rain - we have no rooms. Here is where the reception desk steps in and solves it. Instead of three singles we get one single and a spatious family toom. The hotel is remarkably clean, I mean the room is spotless. High ceiling, large windows and with a nice view, plus a working free wifi. Well located and with a garage too.

We stayed at the Hampshire hotel for two nights. We found it very clean and comfortable. The staff were more than helpful and very pleasant. The breakfast should not be missed. We would certainly stay here again

A very standard hotel. Nothing too special but was comfortable and spacious enough. Decided to pay a little extra for what was described in the website as 'a room with a view' although was disappointed when finding that the apparent 'view' was through a reasonably small window at the bottom of the wall, certainly not worth any extra cost. Staff were all friendly however and the room was clean and fresh. The decor is slightly outdated, could do with a renovation. Would stay again with knowing what to expect.

Very good location, walking distance to the Grote Markt and the different pubs, restaurants, musea and theaters and of course the shops. Clean rooms, friendly personnel. Parking possible at the hotel or in the parking garage just opposite the hotel for a reduced price. Good value for money

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The sauna is lovely with an outdoor shower (and one indoors if you prefer) but needs to be booked in advance. The hotel is close to the canal and the old city centre with a good tapas bar right next door. The rooms are fine, although the decor would stand updating, with comfortable beds and everything you need. We asked for a quiet room and were given one at the back of the hotel and it was very quiet. Breakfast is standard Netherlands breakfast, nothing fancy but all fine. Would stay here again.

We booked this with cadeaubox deal, as I got this as a present. I had the feeling that this was one of the reasons why we got a room under the reception with view on a wall. So that was not greart, however the staff was very friendly and helpful and apologised for it and the room itself was not too small. Oh the door of our room (016) was not always closing automatically, so maybe something to look at and the lamp on left side of the bed was a little broke n too. The breakfast was a good basic buffet
