I like the front desk guys but I don't know what's going on with this hotel. We had to get put into 3 different rooms. The 1st Room was a smoking Room when we had booked a non smoking Room, The 2nd Room our daughter said she saw a bed bug under her sheets, and the 3rd Room the PVC piping under the sink was installed wrong, when we turned on the water to the sink the water just fell on the floor. Since we had come back to the room in the evening the hotel didn't have anybody available to come and fix the problem. My wife put a trash can under the sink and because the pvc pipe wasn't Installed properly and the whole thing fell on to the floor. I had to do my best and fix the plumbing myself so we can use the sink.
We stayed for 9 nights and every day the room was cleaned to a very high quality, the breakfast was lovely and staff were always helpful. We were travelling in a group and some delegates were at other hotels in Griffin so we were able to compare service and value of a few places. I really feel we were the winners!
I'm not sure where some of these good reviews come from because this place is awful. It's not clean, nor well cared for and the whole place needs a TOTAL makeover------holes in the wall to old tubs and sinks that do not look clean, even if they are. Also, from the looks of some of the clientele I used all 3 locks on the door and slept with one eye open. Let 's put it this way, I would sleep in my car before I would stay here again. I didn't feel safe or clean.
I rented a room here through Hotels.com because according to their website and the hotels website they have an outdoor pool. I prefer an outdoor over indoor because, well it's GA end of April and it's hot. 90 degrees today! My son wanted to swim and relax after a long day of soccer... and Yes! they do have an outdoor pool, but that doesn't mean there is water in it!!! We checked in then got ready to go to the pool and what a surprise!!! No water. I then called hotels.com and asked if there was any way for me to get at least a partial refund if I changed hotels. They said they would call the hotel which they did and no luck. I told them I was leaving anyway because I also wasn't impressed with the room. I went to the lobby and informed them that I was under the impression the pool was operational since there was no mention on either website and not a word was said when we checked in. I already knew I most likely wouldn't get my money back and had accepted that but then the very rude front desk clerk/owner/manager whatever rudely informed me that the pool was seasonal. THEN he said the pool doesn't open until school is out. School??? Are travelers supposed to ask specifically if school is out before booking this hotel if they want to use a pool?!!! I'm still in shock. Even so, the way the guy treated me and spoke to me made me beyond mad. I left knowing I wouldn't get a refund but that's ok. I wouldn't stay in this place if it were free. The pictures are way better than this place looks. The "non-smoking" rooms smell disgusting and awful. The bed was horrible and the bathroom has a hole in the wall. I failed to take pictures of the room but did get one of the "seasonal" pool. Does anyone know when the school let out date in Griffin GA/aka pool season?! Lol
I have stayed here before and its consistently clean. They are always accommodating to my needs. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. Good quality for a good price. Even if it was a few bucks more I would always stay here.AAAAAAAA+++++++++
Good hotels can get it right most of the time, however it takes a great hotel to get it right everytime without fail, no exceptions. This Quality Inn offers impeccable service regardless which staff member assists you. The rooms are exactly as pictured and the breakfast is outstanding. Both business and personal stays will be successful. The manager even bought my pregnant wife Gatorade. Where do you get that at this price?
Doing customer visits from Atlanta to Columbus. Tired and hungry. Tried this Quality Inn. Room clean, wifi decent. Front desk guys very helpful, good recommendations on restaurants, got me directions to Starbucks and a new key when I locked myself out. Griffin isn't Disney World. No Marriott properties. I've stayed at other Griffin hotels, this is best.
We had a Clean room and got a peaceful night sleep after a long day's drive. The staff was friendly and helpful. what else do you need. Oh, a good breakfast, which we had before getting back on the road. We Would stay here again.
Good check-in...very friendly ..room is nice..all the good things...refer micro...just don't look to close at things..might not like what you see..if you know what I mean..still writing because they make me .
I just returned yesterday from a 5-night stay at the Quality Inn & Suites in Griffin, GA. I chose to make reservations at this hotel for it's low price and it's proximity to Senoia, where I have family. I was there to evacuate my area due to Hurricane Matthew, like many others. The hotel was completely sold out for most of my stay (as were most other hotels in Griffin). Upon arrival, I was absolutely thrilled to discover my room was very clean, modern, and comfortable. (I wish that I had thought to take photos!) Appliances and amenities were all fantastic. Water pressure in the shower was wonderful. A/C kept the room at just the right temperature for me. Every staff member I dealt with was friendly and proficient. Housekeeping respected the Do Not Disturb sign I kept on my door. Breakfast was better than I expected, including hot and cold options. Hotel is located in a great area with tons of restaurant options, and only 2 miles from a Walmart Supercenter for groceries and other necessities. My only two very minor complaints were: 1. The lobby & breakfast area could use more tables, as there are only five of them total, and with the hotel being full, most mornings I struggled to find a place to sit and eat. 2. The wi-fi would disconnect about every 5-10 minutes and I would have to manually reconnect. I don't know if this is a hotel-wide issue, or if I only experienced an issue because my room was at the back of the building. Even with those very small issues, I still would not hesitate to return to this hotel should I find myself needing accomodations in the area again. It was a wonderful value and such a pleasant place to stay that I almost didn't want to go home (almost)! I also want to note: This hotel is normally NOT Pet Friendly, but the manager Mr. Shashee Patel was gracious enough to make exception to that rule just for us evacuees so that we could keep our pets with us for a minimal fee. This meant a great deal to me, and I can't thank him enough for his kindness in this regard! Thank you so much, Mr. Patel!
