Being a Marriott property I had higher expectations. This is an older facility. Our room was clean. We only stayed 2 nights and probably would not stay again. We needed bedding to make up the sofa bed the second night and the bedding wasn’t in our room like it was supposed to be. I called the front desk and they had bedding but since only one person was on duty, she could not bring them to us. There are 2 separate buildings here and it seems they should have at least one other person on duty for safety and guest needs.

Top notch hotel! Got plenty of sleep on the super comfortable bed that was available in the room. There was also a pullout couch available as well. The kitchen area was really nice! There was a stove, and cabinets full of various pots and pans for use. The hotel was super quiet, and very peaceful. Also, the people at the front desk were very helpful and polite! The hotel had a prime location, next to a mall and tons of nice restaurants. Would definitely stay here again during my next trip to Greenville!

For starters I am shocked that this place has the Marriott name associated with it. At first glance it is indeed a bit run down and dated, but if a place is decent and clean that won't prevent me from giving a place a chance. Upon arrival I noticed that several rooms had windows open which given the weather was odd to me. Check in was a drab and not very welcoming affair. The building where our room was located had a dimly lit and smelly entry. Hallways are also dark. The room was dated for sure but had all the "suite" amenities (fridge, etc). The bathroom was dimly lit as well and had a loud fan. While my guest showered I sat and contemplated whether I could stay...the guests upstairs were loud and the walls are paper thin. There was a musty, smoke like odor on the room. I checked our windows which were also open and did not secure properly. I had an unsafe feeling. The shower was gross and the tub was almost full after because the drain was clogged. After seeing that we packed up and left. I returned the keys to the girl at the front desk. She made no offer to "make good"...only said "sorry". I was so disgusted at that point that I just wanted to get the heck out of there. As I pulled out to drive away several people were yelling our their windows and one gave me the finger...huh? Truly a sketchy place. It is not within walking distance of anything ( would be a long walk) and is surrounded by an unlit industrial area. Overall this is one place to avoid. I'm shocked it has the Marriott name on reads like a run down independent hole in the wall. Note: we went on the other side of the Haywood mall and stayed at a new and clean hotel for the same money - so unless you need a stove there are much better options.

This is the first time I’ve taken any of my artists to a Townplace Suites and I was super impressed. We had a quick and easy 4am check-in. Our room included a couple of complimentary snacks which was a great treat for weary travelers. Rooms are well equipped with full kitchen, comfy bed and fold out couch bed. Water pressure and amount of hot water was above expectations. I really liked the great artwork and super huge desk in the room with plenty of space to set up shop. I could live in one of these. It’s in a great area too; I never realized there were so many great restaurants and shops in Greenville, SC. The thing that we liked the best was the complimentary breakfast; was ten notches above what we are used to. Real eggs, Canadian bacon and the coolest, nicest chef - Vince who even came outside to wish the band good luck on our concert. Loved this spot!

This was my third time staying at TownPlace Suites Haywood Mall. The service was great, as always. Check in was friendly, quick and easy. My room was clean, contemporary and super-efficient. TownPlace packs a lot of varied use into a normal-size hotel room without making it seem crowded. The TV was mounted on a wall with a swivel and a multi-purpose sofa and ottoman made the living space flexible and comfortable. I have to charge several devices when I travel, so I was happy to see outlets and a USB port on the desk lamp and an easily accessible outlet on the wall lamp over each night stand. Andes mints and a bag of popcorn were nice touches. I was especially happy with checkout and breakfast. Dora handled refunding a charge I'd incurred (my error) with cheerful ease, and I don't think I've ever seen someone handle a hotel complimentary breakfast like Vince. What I see at most hotel breakfasts is a perfectly nice associate who tries to make sure everything is stocked. Vince welcomed and engaged each person and group like they'd walked into his five-star restaurant and made sure everyone had everything they need. Kudos to him. I'll always pick TownPlace, when I need to stay in Greenville.

I generally stay at Marriott hotels for business travel and prefer TownePlace Suites or Residence Inns for my extended stays. I reserved my room and checked in on a Sunday evening, and while the outside of the hotel looks a bit run down, the room has the standard TownePlace furnishings even if the kitchenette and room itself was a bit dated and in need of refreshing. I noticed an empty box of beer in the elevator as I went up to my room, but as house keeping was on my floor I figured they may not have seen it yet. Not 2 hours after checking in, I saw a roach in the kitchen sink. I immediately packed everything and called the front desk to tell them I would not be staying there, and while on the phone with the front desk, another roach came crawling out of the sink. I was assured that there would be no charge. (I'd originally reserved the room for 5 nights.) As I tend to do when traveling, I checked my credit card activity and noticed my available credit was lower than it should have been. A quick call to my credit card company informed me that the TownePlace had placed, and failed to release, a $830 hold (fund verification) on my account the day I checked in. A call to the TownePlace Suites had me dealing with Irina, who at first said there was nothing she could do, but then she requested my full credit card number and/or my FULL social security number because my bank would need it. I called my credit card company back, no, they did not tell her they needed that and advised me not to give her that information. After multiple calls back and forth, and Irina's insistence that she needed my full SSN or CC # had me calling Marriott's corporate office to further confirm that no, no one needs my full cc # or social. This hotel should be shut down, or at the very least, stripped of the Marriott name.

The TownePlace Suites in Greenville Hayward Mall were exactly what we were looking for. We had a 2 bedroom queen suite which had lots of space and a full kitchen. Room was very clean and very quiet and check-in was great with Shaneeka. She was most helpful to us in finding a drive-thru car wash nearby and went out of her way to find the directions for it. Complimentary coffee and bottled water were available in the lobby at all times. Breakfast was good with all the usual basic breakfast foods both hot and cold. Loved our stay and definitely would stay here again.

This was a nice hotel outside of downtown Greenville close to the mall and plenty of other shopping. It's an extended stay type hotel and we were in building separate from the main lobby. The staff was helpful and showed us where our room was. The parking lot was well lit and we had easy access to the room. We were traveling for business and had a long day so we honestly didn't take advantage of any of the amenities. We checked in, settled in and then went to sleep, which is probably a real strong endorsement for this particular hotel. We were totally undisturbed, were able to relax and then hit the road in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.

Old feeling, dirty room with cracks throughout the bathroom and low end amenities. The only positive of the stay was the friendly service at breakfast the next morning, but that breakfast was bare bones, even by hotel standards. Free water, coffee, and cookies at check in was a positive I guess. Nothing worthwhile in the area either. Tons of other options in Greenville. Can't wait for the new Marriott hotels to open downtown later this year.

What an amazing place to stay! We arrived from a 6 hour drive exhausted but were welcomed by a friendly and extremely helpful staff which made our check in very quick and stressless. Upon getting to our room we found that we got a two bedroom suite which was amazing, I love privacy. The room also had a full kitchen (stove, refrigerator, sink, even some dishes) which was a pleasant surprise also. The beds were also amazing and I don't think it was because we were exhausted because our second night it was just as great. Housekeeping was great and timely with our request for more towels. And last but not least the breakfast room was also great with a lot of options from milk, coffee, and juice to bagels, waffles, and cereal.
