Most friendly and helpful receptionists ever, (Dena and Tabitha) they were so lovely and great! It was a clean and stylish room thanks to the house keeper Pam. I hope to be back to stay a longer visit in the future.
Nice comfortable stay which is halfway between Deland, FL and Kingsport, TN. It is also convenient to restaurants...Fatz and Cracker Barrel. Staff were pleasant and helpful with directions to local restaurants.
I stayed with my family here to visit my son at Wofford. I am hoping it will be updated in the near future. The rooms are carpeted with carpet that must have been from the days of a different lodging company. The room still had a mild smell of old cigarettes. The room was attractive and the bathroom was well stocked and everything worked well. I was happy to be placed in a second floor room that appeared to be safer without an outside entrance. I was a bit disturbed that the door up to the second floor was not locked and the door at the top of the stairs was propped open.
I think we saw the best of humanity on display in Houston after Hurricane Harvey. Sadly, the same common decency is not found at this particular Red Roof Inn. Hugely negative experience with this Red Roof Inn. I had four rooms booked at this location for Friday, September 8. We were planning a family trip to Myrtle Beach and were planning to stay overnight here during our drive. Unfortunately due to Hurricane Irma, we were forced to cancel our trip. When I attempted to cancel my rooms at the Red Roof Inn - *over 24 hours* prior to checkin - was told (by Tina at the front desk) that she would only refund TWO of my FOUR rooms!! No explanation was given as to why she would only refund two of the rooms. Cannot believe the heartlessness of this Red Roof Inn in the face of this natural disaster. Any why even refund me for two rooms? That makes absolutely no sense! We still love the Red Roof Inn brand because we love the pet policy and they are generally clean and inexpensive. But BE WARNED about this location in particular - book at your own risk!
Pros: Nice room, king bed was extra firm and we are not used to that, so we did not get the best of sleep, but it was clean and in new condition. Bathroom is big. Room has all the normal amenities except for coffee maker. Anything else you could want was there. Excellent fridge. All rooms are on ground level. Breakfast was just ok, nothing exceptional. Cons: I booked through Expedia and the desk refused to give me a copy of the bill. That alone will keep me from returning.
I have stayed here several times. Once again, the room was clean, the staff was friendly, and my stay was enjoyable. I forgot my purse in my room and called to see if it was there. The person at the front desk had someone check and called me back to confirm they had found it. I really appreciate the great customer service.I will stay here again.
The room was clean, didn't stink, the beds and pillows were comfortable. The water pressure was fine, and shower easy to operate. The TV was good sized. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Coin-op washer and dryer. There is a McDonalds. a Waffle House and a chain called Fatz within walking distance. However, there is only 1 small ice machine for the whole place and it was either always empty or broken. The free breakfast is really some danishes and bad coffee.
It has been many years since we stayed at a Red Roof Inn and we were very happy to have stayed here. The room was very good, pet friendly and served our needs. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet.
Spent Saturday nite there the lady at the front desk was super friendly and location to most everything is good. And our room was clean the only thing was the noise you could hear outside like you were out there, other then that it was okay.
I highly recommend travelers to check Ms. Dena out at the Red Roof Inn in Spartanburg SC. She is a God sent... Not only is the hotel outstanding, clean and environmental friendly, the warmth, welcome and professionalism of Ms. Dena was more than expected and I appreciate it. Thanks!!!!All visits here will be spent at the comfort of Red Roof.
