Extended Stay America - Greenville - Airport2.5 out of 5.0

Staff allowed me to cancel my reservations in Columbia and drive further on to Greenville using my Be Our Guest voucher. The room was poorly lit and didn't feel like it had been thoroughly cleaned. Felt the need to where shoes when walking through the room. There were spots on the chair from who knows what and some things were sticky...like the remote control and night stand. Wouldn't be my first choice of hotels but ok for an inexpensive stay for a night. Prime location to restaurants, there are several great restaurants in walking distance or across the street.
Great place to stay. Access to resturant and supermarkets. Great staff. I have been staying at this location for the last 5 years. Staff is friend and first class service is always offers by staff. Great Jennifer and staff
I am a travel nurse and good accommodations at a reasonable price are hard to find. This hotel was centrally located to my assignment. Staff were wonderful to work. They were always pleasant no matter how many people were lined up at the desk. I had no issues during this stay.
The staff was excellent, courtesy and professionalism are their top attributes. Location is very convenient to just about anything you would ever want to eat. I think what we appreciated the most was the fact that we were treated like family and shown much respect. Any issues were handled promptly and always with a smile. Great place to stay.
The rooms aren't bad. If you want to save a little money and will be staying for more than a few days, this place will work. The location in good. Easy to go to - just off the interstate. Lots of options for food and a grocery store right next door.
Their smoking area is right outside front door so our first impression of walking in was walking by several shirtless men smoking in the entrance area. Unfortunately it did not get much better upon entering the room. Carpets very very dirty. Dust on stained up lamps/lamp shades. Writing on back of bathroom door that would not even shut all the way. Just all around nasty! Booked off of Priceline as a two and half star rating...wrong, wrong, wrong!
My husband and I have stayed here several times and love it. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, and the staff are always professional, courteous, friendly and helpful. The location is perfect! The hotel is in walking distance to many restaurants, shopping and grocery. We have had only the best experience at this hotel and will stay here again. Iris, Jennifer, Teri, Megan, Larry, Gloria and Julie have always made us feel welcome. We highly recommend this hotel.
This is the 4th or 5th time we've stayed at ESA - Greenville and we've always enjoyed it. The staff have been kind, welcoming, warn & full of joy! The accommodation has serve our purposes & we've felt safe & very much at home. The rooms are a little dated but not uncomfortable. We'll stay there again on this trip.
I stayed here for a trip to my niece's graduation. There was no one at the desk when we first arrived in the afternoon. We waited for about 10 minutes before someone appeared. Our room was on the first floor and the windows did not have sheer, privacy curtains, so it was either closed curtains with no natural light or expose the room to the parking lot. We chose the darkened room. My son has food sensitivities, which requires us to stay in a hotel with full kitchen appliances when we travel. Of the 2 cooktop burners, only 1 was working. Fortunately, it was the larger burner, but we had to make his entire meal using 1 burner. Took a while. The toaster was a thousand years old and took FOREVER to toast 2 frozen waffles! The iron was a thousand years old and never could get hot enough to make steam. Worst of all, the bathroom sink had a slow running drain. There is nothing more gross than brushing your teeth or washing your face and have to watch and wait for the spit and dirty water to drain. Complete turnoff!!! And as another reviewer noted, there was a shady person lurking in the parking lot all morning and with no lock on the front door, anyone could wander into the building. The blankets and comforters were threadbare to say the least. Absolutely, not comfortable sleep accommodations. My son has special needs and we really needed an early check-in, but the hotel was fully booked the night before. The front desk staff called me as soon as a room was available and we were able to check in prior to 3pm. That is the only reason I gave the review 2 stars instead of 1. We stayed here because everything else was booked due to the graduation, but if we had to return to the area, I would NEVER stay here again!
I'll start out by saying I really don't like bashing any place, and I avoid rating places with 1 star unless they're awful (and 5 stars unless they're amazing). That said, the Extended Stay America - Greenville airport is, unfortunately, the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I've stayed at this property three times in the past month, due to being in the midst of a move. Each time seems to get a bit worse - so much so that I deleted my original average (3-circle) review to bring it down to the lowest. Where to begin? This place is excessively loud. I've stayed here on weeknights and weekends, and it doesn't matter. The only saving grace is getting a room on the top floor so no one is jumping up and down above you. That said, you can hear arguing, screaming and smashing in adjacent rooms. The internet (even the faster, extra cost wifi plan) is slow. The regular free plan is so slow it won't stream youtube videos. The $3.99/day upgrade plan just barely streams videos. I ended up using my phone's hot spot to access the web. And to top it all off, there were 5 vehicles broken in to in the hotel parking lot last night, including mine. There are regularly shady people lurking around the parking lot, so I hate to say this, but I was not surprised. Other observations - trash in the lobby/ entrance area is overflowing and never emptied during my recent stay, causing a funky smell. "Breakfast" is granola bars and coffee. And several travel sites list this property as a 2.5-star establishment. It is not. It's a 1 or 2-star, max. I am amazed that the going rate for this hotel is about 100 bucks a night. I'd never pay that to stay here. It's worth half that, if that much. You can get this place on Priceline Express Deals for $50-$60, however. Again, I dislike rating anyplace terrible. Avoid this hotel - there are better alternatives in the area for the same price.
