Super 8 Greenville

The room had a horrible strong food smell (Indian food possibly). It was mentioned to a couple people. The pillows were awful. The hallways smelled of smoke. The price was reasonable. I could deal with everything but the smell.

The staff was awesome, went way out of the way for us, rooms are outdated but clean, breakfast was ok. The staff is the definite bonus at this hotel.

Poor customer service upon arrival, one gentleman was on phone clearly not able to greet us, another (assuming a manager of sorts, he was much older) just sat in the back room looking at us instead of checking us in. Was assigned a smoking room despite requesting otherwise, which was absolutely disgusting. Hotel was sold out because of Homecoming at ECU so we had no choice. Carpet was gross, furntiure was old and dirty, bed wasn't that bad and neither was the bathroom but the smell of that smoking room was almost unbearable. Good thing we were there to party for a football game and didn't spend much time in the hotel. Then upon checkout on Sunday, the front desk called us at 11:15 (15 minutes after check out time) to basically tell us to get out. We were waiting on a ride. We finished getting our things together and they called us BACK at 11:30 and told us to wait in the lobby, that they were trying to clean the room. I found this totally rude and uncalled for because no one was trying to get in that hotel on a Sunday morning in Greenville anyways. Won't ever stay here again.

This was a last minute trip and we got this room because the majority of others were booked due to softball tournaments in town. The Super 8 is in serious need of updating. The hall carpet is severely worn and the room and its fixtures are very outdated, however, it was surprisingly clean considering its age. The towels are scratchy, the toilet paper is cheap and scratchy, the bed was overly firm and the pillows were very, very hard, making it tough to sleep. All that being said, the staff is VERY polite and helpful, comparable to many of the upper end hotels we've stayed at. All in all, I would recommend for an overnight stay.

The hotel is an older one and is past due for a make over!! I brought my own cleaning supplies and cleaned the bathroom/tub, sprayed the bed and pillows. I will definitely not book this place again. Thanks.

Hotel was old, but ok. Staff was friendly. Sheets were stained and I felt something "biting" me and itched all night. Would not stay there again !

The hotel is well-located and inexpensive (compared to other hotels in the area). The breakfast is minimal but adequate, the refrigerator & microwave are quite handy. The wireless Internet connection was strong and useful, but sometimes hard to access (probably because of inadequate bandwidth). The lack of elevator is an inconvenience, the room is small, the fitted sheet did not stay on the mattress for the duration of the night, and although the room was tidy, it did not give one the impression of CLEAN. The hallway carpets were quite worn and dirty-looking, and many parts of the building need maintenance. Overall, however, if one does not need a luxury hotel or a super-clean hotel, this one seems to be a good value.

This motel was centrally located to my activities which were located in Pinetops, NC. Restaurants were nearby and easy to get to. Their continental breakfast was out of this world as motels go. The room was clean and comfortable and reasonablely priced. I would definitely stay here again.

I was looking for a reasonably priced to stay for just the night - no fitness room, no game room, no restaurant / bar but just a clean, comfortable place to stay. I found it, plus the staff were very nice & helpful. Would use again. -JW

The hotel and room were very clean. It was an older building but well maintained. close enought to the hospital, so it didn't take a lot of time to get there. Staff was good very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

I was surprised. When you look at the outside the expectation was not so much. The inside was very clean and comfortable. Internet access was good. I will stay again.

The room was better then the exterior. I didn't expect it but the inside was in better shape then the outside. Room was clean and it was a reasonable deal. I dont buy into the "super Saver" breakfast, it was a bit disappointing

Nice hotel. Nice price.

Friendly, clean room.

manager was not nice at check in charged us extra $25 for 2 hr early check inn and was not nice to us in any way got to frist room and tolet was clogged and 2nd room that he gave us the blankets where very dritty one had [*] on it iwill not be saying there at that hotel again would not recomend to anyone

requested non-smoking room and when we arrived was given a smoking room. Room had a terrible odor. We asked the front desk if we could have a non-smoking room and she said the only way we could was if we paid and additional $10. I went to the bathroom and when I turned on the light a roach ran across the wall. The carpet was covered with cigarette burns the chair in the room was falling apart. Would definitely not stay here again and would not recommed it to others.

The room was in dire need of maintenance! Light switches hanging out of walls, outlets falling apart hidden behind night stand, caulking around sink old, cracked and coming out, light in bathroom very dim, old bathtub fixtures made it very hard to regulate hot water, pool hours were 10 am to 8 pm when no one is going to be around, I guess this makes it easy to keep clean! Hallway carpets dirty and nasty, reminds you of a dingy hallway from the movies. Location was good, but I would rather have to travel than stay here again. Thankfully it was only one night!!

Hotel was older but was clean inside. Slept well.

My son and I was in Greenville because it was open house at ECU and we were staying only one night. Stayed at Super 8 and was very satisfied. Could not beat the price.

We were there to see my sister in Pitt Memorial. The room was a smoking room for my dad who is in his late 70s. While the staff was very nice, there was chewing gum stuck behind headboards and on lamps, melted spots on the floor, the carafe for the coffee pot in the room was non-existent (although the continental breakfast room was right down the hall). Seems to be a trucker hotel and there were semis in the parking lot running. Furniture in room was very old and ratty. Won't be staying there again if I need to go back.
