Booked a non-smoking room in this hotel. When I arrived, on a night when every hotel in town was booked due to several events, the room reeked of smoke. I immediately complained about being put in a smoking room, but was told "all of our rooms are non-smoking" As they were booked and I was the last in, I had no choice but to stay in this room. Needless to say, I woke with a huge headache due to the smell of smoke. Of course being last in, I was also put on the side of the hotel that appeared to be long term residents, rather than overnight guests, including being above the gentleman who had two dogs, one of which was a yellow lab which barked at the window every time anyone walked past the room, and for a minimum of 25 minutes after they passed. And listening to the work trucks try to start as the residents left in the morning for their jobs was wonderful. The room was in poor condition. The curtain had seen better days, probably before I was born. I know this is a budget chain, but there was no coffee maker, or iron in the room, and the TV was like the one my parents had when I was growing up... It took about 5 minutes for the tube to warm up enough for the picture to become visible. I was afraid to sleep on the bed due to fear of cleanliness. This was borne out when my wife noticed what appeared to be fecal matter on the bed skirt as we were checking out. There is nothing to recommend this hotel and too much to warn about to include it all here.

It was an okay stay! It was loud people all times of the night!

I got a refund, this was the worse. The bed wasn't made, roaches everywhere, and the outside was even dirty. Drug activity all over. The WORSE EVER.

Needs a little more TLC, management is trying but not hard enough. But they're headed in the right direction.

The staff was very friendly for what contact we had with them. The air conditioner in our room didn't work well so they were going to put us in another room. That room had a pizza box with old pizza in it and the room looked worse than the one we were in. There was only 2 towels in the room and when we tried to use the bar of soap it crumbed in pieces. Thank goodness I only paid for 1 night. Next time I'll pay a little more for a better place.

I had a good stay at Rodeway Inn. It was just as I expected and I felt very comfortable and the price made it even better! Guy working at the front desk was very friendly!

Saw roaches as soon as I stepped into the room, the AC worked but it was way too loud for anyone other than a heavy sleeper. The dead bolt was broken off, the room door as well as the bathroom door have been kicked in before that was clear to see. Room service neglected to properly close the room door so I came back to a room that had been unlocked all afternoon. I paid in advance it served it's purpose for what I needed but I will never stay here again.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is within walking distance of ECU football stadium.

The staff helped me get a cheaper rate for the room and was really nice and patient with me. The room did have a strong odor but I brought air freshener.

My experience was horrible. There were cigarette burn marks on the bedspread (in a non-smoking room), the room itself smelled horrible and strange, the bed was incredibly lumpy, AND there were people being loud on the walkway outside of the room. I realize that people can get loud, but the people running the hotel did nothing to deal with the noise. I was also told by another patron that there is a "good side" and a "bad side" of this hotel to stay in. That's a problem! I ended up not staying here at all; I asked for a full refund, got it, and went to another hotel instead. I will not return to this place. This was much better before it became the Rodeway Inn.

I just needed a place to sleep and this facility was more than adequate as well as comfortable.

Very dirty, roaches scattered as we walked up the steps into the room. Would've rather stayed in my car. Rates were inflated due to home football game. Supply and demand I get it, but this is one hotel that would be lucky to get $20 a night.

the room was clean but in need of repairs, cracked sink, lumpy saging bed ,tub was in bad shape. The outside of the building was trashy, refuse all over dirt and trash all on the stairs. I will not use again.

It's an average motel. Room was clean, and the bed was really comfortable. Nothing special, but definitely worth the price for a short stay.

Convenient location, nice staff. General appearance of motel is run down but all right. Room was spartan, limited furniture, no amenities (not even shampoo), but seemed clean and the bed was all right. Found another motel for second night that was $20 more and MUCH nicer.

I took my son and his friend to visit ECU. The property was on the main shopping road with a lot of restaurants and shopping all around it. It was a couple of miles from ECU. The room was clean. It was certainly not luxury, but it was comfortable. On the weekends they have an off duty Sheriff patrol the parking lot so you can feel pretty safe here. I would stay again.

they`te`ll have a microwave and dont have anything i asked for a microwave 5 dollars extra but they dont have not more

I didnt appreciate having to wait an hr after check in before i could check in. The tv showed fuzzy pictures, the stool looks like it had a spot on it, the sheet had a spot on it, the sink would stop up, and I didnt appreciate having to pay for Wifi @ a hotel like that.

The motel itself was fine. [...]

The location was central to the city. My daughter received her masters from ECU. The room was clean and well supplied. House keeping did an excellent job throughout my 7 day stay. Thank you.
