We pulled in here on our way to Myrtle Beach. The first thing we noticed was the strong smell of smoke in the lobby. We got a nonsmoking room, which was better. The room was generally clean, but some of the basics were missing, like tissues, a full roll of toilet paper or an alarm clock. We also noticed a hard to identify odor coming from the air conditioner in the morning. We also found that the walls and ceiling were very thin, allowing us to hear everything in adjoining rooms. While it did the trick for the night, we would probably drive on down the road the next time.
We got in late to check in at the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast with donuts, oatmeal, cereal, juoce, waffles, and coffee. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Parts of room in need of repair such as bathroom door.
I stay at a lot of budget hotels when traveling and this has to be one of the best I have ever stayed at. Everything from the parking lot to the room was very clean. The beds were comfortable and there was no problems with water temperature or pressure. The wifi signal was strong and we never lost a connection even with 5 devices running. If you are needing a stop over or a place to stay on the way to the outerbanks, this is the place.
We will recommend this place as a family friendly place. The staff is very helpful and friendly.Rooms are very clean and comfortable.Overall we had a very positive experience. We had a very positive experience.
At first we selected Econ on price but after our stay , I would recommend you stay. They have a dated building but clean. Location was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Behind a great place called sunny side oyster bar. Breakfast was sparse but you were very close to fast food or places that were open for breakfast.
We were traveling from South Carolina to central New York state and wanted to spend just one night on the road. We needed a no-frills motel without paying for a bunch of money for amenities that we would not have time to use. This Econolodge really fit the bill. There was easy access from Route 17 and lots of free parking. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very efficient young woman at the desk who told us that a softball team was also staying there. She said she put us in a room as far away from them as possible, but to let her know if they caused any problems. They did not--in fact we never even heard them. We were put in an upper level room (which we had requested) on the back side of the hotel away from traffic noise. The room was large with a very comfortable king-sized bed, table and chair plus microwave and refrigerator. It had a cable TV with a variety of channels and a good picture. The light breakfast included bagels, muffins, apples, cereal, and material to make your own waffle as well as coffee. There were only two minor issues--there did not seem to be a light that you could switch on as you entered the room (#257) so you had to sort of stumble around in the dark to turn on a lamp. Also, we did not receive any sort of receipt when we checked out. Our Choice Privileges account recorded our stay and we have our credit card information so this was not a problem, but might have been if we had paid by cash. There did not seem to be any kind of swimming pool, so bear that in mind if traveling with children. That was not a problem for us.
We only stayed here as a midway point between the Outer Banks visit and Raleigh. I'm thankful for a clean bed and bathroom. This does meet the economy definition AND they offered continental breakfast. I was concerned, after the Days Inn experience, and am thankful for the rest we were afforded here.
Our stay at this hotel was great we have no complaints at all. They offered breakfast which was great, the room was non smoking very clean. The staff was very polite. Hotel had a elevator which was nice for me. I hope we are in the area again.
Very clean. Super nice staff. The complimentary breakfast was great for the kids participating in a horse show early mornings. Fresh towels everyday, wake up calls delivered as asked. Was visiting to attend a horse show. Will book again next year.
This was a great location off # 64 and near family. The front desk was helpful. Quiet and we stayed on the first floor because there wasn't an elevator. Trip advisor recommended this ste for us and did the reservations
