We stayed over a recent weekend and received a single queen bed room. The area outside the hotel smelled like manure/fertilizer the entire weekend. Inside, the hotel smelled musty and unpleasant. Our room was tiny, but that was expected. The carpet was dirty. The bedspread had two cigarette burns in it. The light switch was cracked. The towels were super small and very rough. The killer, however, was the pile of white flakes on the bed and the floor. Figuring it to be a cleaning issue, we cleaned them up ourselves. When we returned from dinner, there was a entirely new pile of these pellets floating down onto the bed and carpet. When we spoke to the manager on duty, he said that it was newly applied stucco on the outside that had gotten into the ac system. There were no other available rooms to move to and, rather than offer any sort of compensation or fix, he just said we should have seen it the week before when it was really bad. So, we tried to turn off the ac, but the room got too hot and stuffy and its smelliness got worse. So we had to turn it on and watch these little white flakes keep blowing into our room and floating around. Probably breathed a bunch in, so I hope they weren't carcinogens. To top it all off, the coffee each morning tasted like flavored water. They obviously had watered it down to save money. This hotel reeks of cheapness and neglect. Stay elsewhere, no matter how cheap Microtel is. It is not worth it.

We had a lovely stay at this property. The rooms were very large, very clean, very comfortable and QUIET! Not a sound from the Interstate nor other guests. For the price and property level, I'd highly recommend it.

comfortable beds, a bit small which is typical of this brand . The bathrooms need remodeling, appear old and the sinks look like they can be found in a camp ground, not a hotel. No counter space near sinks. Caulk needs to be redone in shower as ours was blackish. Otherwise , everything else was fine.

Hi! My name is Becky Villalobos and I stayed at Microtel on Tuesday and have stay with you guys before but never have my stay been this unsatisfactory. Underneath is the review I have writing on the review website they sent me, I haven't posted it because I have not been able to contact you. I'm hoping we can make some arrangements or refund because I'm unhappy about my last stay. "First thing I notice was a stain on my pillow! I picked it up and it had a little spider on it, I tried not to freak out and not make a big deal about it so I just put it to the side and away from the bed. Later on that night I stepped out to grab something to eat and on my way out the elevator I placed two glass bottles in the trashcan beside the vending machine and the person in charged at the moment rudely ask me why I put that in there, that that's why there is another trashcan outside, that now the place is going to stink. I fell embarrassed at the moment and just walked out. I'm pregnant and thought I might of been exaggerating on how I felt but my that was there with me at the moment agreed with me on how rude he came at me. Finally I get ready to go to sleep.....I was constantly coughing and sneezing through out the night so I hardly had any sleep. In the morning as I'm getting ready, my earring fell off on the back of the bed so I had to move the bed to look for it and it was so much dust and dirt behind the bed I literally almost threw up; so that explained the coughing and sneezin

Check in was great, room was small (felt like I was on a cruise ship), boyfriends car was hit in parking lot and MOD told us we would not be able to do anything about it unless we filed a police report. Made me feel like it was not worth their time.

Hotel was awesome lovely staff and very quite enjoyed my stay

stayed 8/20/14. 4th hotel in 4 nights as part of college visitations thru Virginia and North Carolina. Had never stayed in a Microtel until the night before in another town. Liked that stay so much, decided to stay in this one and stay with the brand. Definitely a nice find as the last two nights in Microtel rooms were much better than first two nights in other brand hotels at higher costs. Rooms comfortable, refrigerator huge plus for travel with fresh food (we don't eat fast food), beds allowed good night's sleep. Had planned for late check in but arrived early and checked right into room in 3 mins or less and then went back to college campus to soak it in without worrying about condition of our room for that night. Will be staying there again later in fall for 2nd visit to the college. Strongly recommend for great bang for the buck.

The room was fair. Beds very comfortable. The bathroom needed attention. I tried to take a nice bath .. no stopper in bathtub. Since it was late I had to improvise and stuff one of the face clothes in the drain. While soaking and could see the part of the toilet that is fastened to the floor and it was absolutely filthy. That to me is a big turn-off. Others body fluids are not acceptable.

The staff were courteous, the room was comfortable and clean, adding to an overall excellent experience.

This hotel is nothing to write home about, but if you need to stay in town for a couple days, it gets the job done and saves you money. Probably the most annoying thing about the room is that the toilet paper dispensers had no bars for roll holders--neither one of them. The paper had to be precariously balanced on the ends of the roll holders to keep it off the floor. But, the room was clean enough not to feel like I had to sleep fully dressed and we found no bed bugs. The staff are not overly friendly, but not rude either. If you're not picky, this really isn't a bad place for the price.

If you are on a tight budget then this is what you need. Clean and cheap.

Just okay. Staff did not seem happy to have guests staying at hotel.

the hotel every thing i could have wanted. Refrigerator, coffee ,iron the rooms were lean and spacey. i would definitely stay there again, thanks for offering it

Overall the value was good. It was close to the interstate and easy to find. We got a king room which was right beside the side entrance and you could hear every time the door opened. Room could have stood a good cleaning, but otherwise the stafff was friendly and courteous. Continental breakfast was adequate. Check in and check out was a breeze.

When we first checked in they gave us rooms on the 2nd floor that has some smoking rooms. We looked at three rooms up on the 2nd floor before we told them to put us on the first floor. The rooms on the 2nd had a musty smell (all of the rooms). The towels are on the thin side. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Rooms on 1st floor seemed fairly clean. Old tube TV's. Internet isn't very fast. OK for the price.

Room was small as advertised, but clean and adequate - only there at night to sleep. No workout room. Breakfast was ok with cold cereal, muffins, apples, bagels and waffles (didn't try them). Manager was very friendly and helpful - guest computer not hooked up to a printer but allowed me to print boarding passes from hotel computer. Right off highway. Would stay there again.

Booked late for visit to daughter's college and this was all that was available. Ignored previous reviews and took my chances. They were correct the hotel has the smell of cigerette ash throughout the hallways and the continental breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. The people were nice enough.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was arriving one day earlier, extension by the same price no problem. The room was "micro", but ok anyway - all i need. Clean, quiet, convenient. Good little breakfast. No restaurants on site, but in short driving distance. Free internet.

I wanted value (cheap) but with internet access in the room. I got it. Rooms are small, but clean. Fridge/micro is option, didn't need it, but there was small 4-cup coffee pot with coffee in the room. Didn't need more but if you wanted coffee, bagels/toast/OJ, they had that in the lobby from 6 to 9 am. Staff always said Hello. Would I stay again, probably.

The hotel was ver nice and clean. Yes the room is small hence the name MICRO hotel, but it's still a nice layout. The staff was very friendly except the Middle Eastern gentleman he seemed a little hostile, apparently my id wasn't enough i had to fill out a form putting my car information on it (just never done that before). I didn't eat the breakfast but it was served in the morning. I wouldn't mind staying there again.
