The apartment is big, bright and clean. The people in reception are also very nice. My only concern is that one night when we arrived from a day trip we found the main door of our apartment open with the keys on the lock (not our keys) which means that the cleaner left the door open since morning and anyone from other apartment could have accessed. This was unacceptable and everyday when arriving to the apartment we wondered if the main door was left open again. Location is great.

Having previously stayed at the Spires apartment several years ago I was keen to suggest the central location to family & friends. Unfortunately this time was not as good. We had issues with blown light globes, dirty oven, lack of cooking pots & utensils, & an uncomfortable mattress & unstable floors in both bathrooms. And no wi-fi as detailed.

We booked 3 night city break and stayed at Spires and really enjoyed it. The receptionist was nice and helpful during check-in. The apartment was nice and clean, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and joint living room and kitchen, and the location was perfect, close to shops, restaurants, bars, and train station.

We booked The Spire Serviced Suites for a two night city break. First the positives.. The young male duty manager was very helpful and friendly, check in and check out were quick and hassle free. The apartment is a good size with living/dining and kitchen combined. Two very comfy leather sofas around a glass coffee table and TV. The kitchen was well equipped and was of a very high spec. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk cartons, salt and peppers sachets all provided. Instructions for the hob and oven would be helpful. Our apartment had two bedrooms, a good sized double and a larger king size en-suite room with shower. We only used the king size room and this had plenty of storage and a good hair dryer and a safe. The black out curtains did their job very well. There was also a family sized bathroom along the hall, with plenty of hot water, toiletries and toilet roll. The towels were HUGE!!! and of good quality. The long entrance hall insulates the apartment from any noise from the lift. The negative...yes only one The king size bed was a zip lock style meaning two single mattresses. These were not even and so caused a noticeable ridge in the middle of the bed, very uncomfortable to sleep on. I feel these need to be replaced with a new king sized mattress or two new single ones. One minor point to note, the apartments are on a very busy main road with traffic noise until the early hours, bedroom faces the back with very little noise so no problems there. Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend the Spires for a short or long break in Glasgow, location very central, close to shops, bars, restaurants and 10 mins walk from Central Station Kevin and Susan

We wanted to have a short week in Glasgow and to be close to all amenities. We were able to walk to/from the station and find everything we needed really easily. Walked our feet off getting everywhere else in and around the city. I was very impressed by this accommodation. It is like leaving home and moving into really modern accommodation for the duration of your break. It was clean and fully equipped, and apart from a small glitch, was lovely to return to after a busy day. Everything you would need for a comfortable stay was provided for you, although we were in a two-bed, two bathroom apartment, and the kitchen facilities were excellent. Very clean apartments. We didn't need change of towels or bedlinen so were happy enough with the room servicing which consisted of a couple of bin changes, which could have waited. Saw several other guests come and go and clearly their rooms were cleaned as they left. Secure access and lift/s and stairs to get to rooms easily. Good pubs, restaurants and places to eat within walking distance so we didn't use the kitchen except for drinks. I was sad that those gorgeous "Border" biscuits were not replenished after we arrived, but sufficient complimentary items to get a cup of tea or coffee were left. Local shops if you need extras or fancy cooking for yourself. Professional and welcoming front of house staff and Jonathan certainly went the extra mile to ensure everything was fully working and that we had everything we needed. We had a room at the front and could watch the locals go about their daily routines but this is interesting not bothersome. Some late night noise but not bothersome, few local pubs over the road, but we were not disturbed by any noises. Will most certainly look for this company when we go off for another city break.

A total of 6 of us went to visit Glasgow for two nights after finishing our exams. Having previously booked a 2 bedroom apartment, two of us were going to be sleeping on the sofa bed - that was until we arrived. Upon arrival we were greeted by the most lovely receptionist, who was having a laugh with us while checking us in etc, was very helpful but not too helpful to the point where you want to just tell them to leave you be and on top of that they offered us a free upgrade to their penthouse suite which was just ideal. It was also good not really being treated differently because we were all quite young (third year university) which can happen a lot at hotels etc. Cannot thank you enough. The apartment itself was very spacious, bright and could not have been in a better location. Literally a 30 second walk from George square, buchanan street, Ingram street it was just great. As I mentioned before staff were fantastic, upon arrival and checkout both staff were extremely friendly and the cleaner was also chatting away to us - which is nice because usually they just come in do their work and leave. If I'm ever down that way again I will definitely be staying here - and all my friends have said the same. Thanks again, and please pass on our thanks to the blonde male receptionist that was working when we arrived (16th of May around 5pm) we had an amazing time.

Situated in the Merchant City quarter of Glasgow these splendid apartments give excellent access to more than enough to keep you busy as well as being surrounded by some great restaurants. The rooms are not only spacious but well appointed, great heating, comfortable beds and reasonably priced. Far better than a hotel! Only criticism: ridiculous charge of £10.00 per day for internet access. Time they got into the real world and discovered it's free almost everywhere.

I have been to more than 300 hotels in my life all over the world and I can confirm this is the worst place. Receptionist guy is the rudest and most impolite person u can ever meet. Dont waste ur money there. They also dont release ur deposit until a couple of hours from check out which no hotel ever done. The blond rude receptionist said he is too busy to go check the room at the time we were checking out. What a service! In addition to this rooms are small and not too clean and that breakfast they claim to offer u, thats the biggest joke.

Very spacious apartment 2 bedrooms a large one with is own bathroom. well furnish. Has everything to cook (range, oven, microwave) Has all the commodity near by, important shopping street a block away. Good bus and subway service.

Couldn't recommend these apartments more, friendly helpful staff and the apartments are beautiful and perfectly located. Would definitely stay again. Booked on booking.com that day and we were in the apartment within 10mins of booking.
