Excellent location, close to Train stations, shop's, bars and restaurants. Would have been nice to be able to Open the windows. The breakfast buffet was also not looked after as attentively as it should be, especially at know busy periods.
A short overnight in the city over Christmas. Room was well furnished, clean and quiet and the hotel was well located close to the station shops and bars downtown. Very efficient and friendly check in and helpful staff throughout. No restaurant but a bar and a discount with the Italian place down below the hotel. The steps would be an issue for some travellers but we had no issue (except they are slippy in the snow!). It's not luxurious and it's location could make it noisy if you're not at the back as we were but we'd stay again.
Stayed here with a friend at the end of November for one night. The best thing about the hotel is its location, especially when travelling by train, as it’s close to both Central and Queen Street stations. Our superior room was quite big, with a nice shower room. And the double glazing was very effective, considering the hotel is in the city centre. However, we had to ask for the promised “goody bag” and there was little storage space - not a problem for one night’s stay but not ideal for a longer stay. And only one armchair in a twin room. We found the staff helpful on our arrival, happy to store our luggage as we arrived early. Likewise, once we’d checked out, our luggage was stored until it was time for us to go for our train home. Unfortunately the quality of the breakfast spoiled our stay. It was appalling. The cooked items had obviously been sitting for a long time and weren’t refreshed. The fried eggs in muffins were rubbery and the bacon cold. Totally inedible. We weren’t asked if we’d enjoyed our stay when we left (there was no one at reception and painters working in the lobby had to fetch someone), so I emailed the hotel about the breakfast. I’m still waiting for a reply! Despite this I would stay at this hotel again due its location and the low price we paid. However, I’d go elsewhere for breakfast.
I swithered over a five for this hotel but the four was probably about right. Great location for a visit to Glasgow, very central and close by travel links and the shopping areas. Although visits to the more tourist related locations wasn’t on this agenda I have no doubt getting to the various museums etc would have been easy. The room was large bright and clean. The facilities within were very good and I can’t fault room 412. The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was plentiful, constantly refreshed and restocked plus worthy of praise. The one downside was the noise from West George St and the surrounding area. Although just before Christmas it could be bad at any time or at the weekend. We were kept awake and awakened throughout the night despite being on the fourth floor and the room having double and secondary glazing. Overall well worth using as a base.
Excellent hotel in every way. Clean, comfortable with filling breakfast. Rooms big and very comfortable and staff could not have been more helpful. Slept very well both nights. Only drawback for others might be the fairly steep steps up to the entrance, but, this did not bother us. Central location.
Our stay was ok with the Park Inn by Radisson, Glasgow. The overall stay was ok including rooms, breakfast and staff. Unfortunately one member of staff was very unpleasant and quite rude upon departure. The location of the hotel was excellent to the city centre. We would consider staying here again in the future if we were not treated so poorly. But the rest of the staff were great. Thank you for our stay.
We checked in on 8th December for two nights to have a shopping / nights out in Glasgow. The hotel is accessed by several steep steps which lead into reception. The rooms are in a maze of corridors and poorly signposted. Rooms are modern and clean but have almost no storage space i.e. no sets of drawers at all. Only a small wardrobe with a few hangers. There is no heating in the bathroom with no towel rail although it was clean with a good shower - no bath. The cooked breakfast was abysmal and looked like it had been made several hours earlier even though we went less than an hour after opening at 8 am. I asked a question about taking orange juice to the room as my wife wasn’t feeling too good and the waiter in the restaurant knew very little english so I gave up. Reception was poor and often unmanned. The hotel is central and comparable with Premier Inn prices but I won’t be staying there again
Inexpensive in the heart of the city. There was an initial problem with no heating in the room and lack of guidance on how to sort it. On the second day we were given another room with heating and more pillows in the wardrobe. Good overall.
Last minute trip into town to do a little shopping and booked this hotel - first time visitor and unsure of brand. Very nice hotel and fits well into the Radisson portfolio. Great location. Rooms were very nice with stand alone shower which is great when you’re over 6ft. Breakfast was well organised and laid out nicely with a good selection to choose from. Slightly draughty in the eating area but it was an extremely cold day outside. Would definitely visit again. We ate downstairs at the Toni Macs - lovely booth seating upstairs to people watch and had a lovely meal. Atmosphere was very lively with Christmas party’s and staff were working busy to try and accommodate and serve everyone - A lovely touch at the end of the night to find our bill heavily discounted due to them thinking that the level of service was not up to scratch. Lovely touch and very unexpected as we enjoyed the leisurely pace of the meal as being rushed out of some restaurants is an all too common occurrence - will definitely be back and Thank you to the serving staff and Manager in the upper floor.
Booked in for a 2-night stay on a room only basis (7 and 8 December). Our room (502) was on the top floor of the hotel - there was no noise from outside. The bedroom and shower room were large and relatively clean. Tea/coffee making facilities were available in the room - it would have been a nice touch for a complimentary biscuit to have been provided. The water in the sink in the shower room took some time to empty as hair was blocking the plug hole. The shower had a small leak at floor level. Both of these faults were reported to staff on leaving so hopefully they will be rectified before the next occupant arrives. Our room was dark because it had only one very small window well above head height - all you could see was the top of a stone balustrade (very disappointing for visitors to Glasgow).
