My mom and I were traveling along the Great Ocean Road, this was our stop the second night. The communication was great and they waited for us to check in since we arrived late at night! The room was comfortable, beds clean! Bathroom was well kept and space!
This was our 6th visit to this Motel located right in the Centre of town so you don't have to drive to Restaurants and Cafes. As usual the motel rooms were absolutely spotless and inviting. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rate this as the best Motel we have ever stayed at and we have been to a few in our time
Great location, great amenities and great welcome from owners and staff...Linda and husband (Peter?) went out of their way to make our stay one to remember. Short walk to great eating choices and variety of interesting shops.Would highly recommend to anyone.
We stayed here two nights for a winter weekend escape. We loved being right in the heart of town and walked everywhere we needed to go. The room was warm, clean and equiped with everything we needed and the bed very comfortable. The staff were friendly and happy to help with any queries we had. Would stay again.
We stayed for two nights as part of our adventure along the Great Ocean Road. Very clean and comfortable and friendly owners who were only too happy to assist us with great destination ideas. Perfect location in the heart of Port Fairy.
The location of this motel is ideal right in the centre of town. Only a short walk to all eating places in the main part of town. It is very affordable, very clean units and friendly staff. Will definitely stay there again
We stayed two nights, very clean rooms ,comfortable bed and very quiet location right in the centre of town. Motel is set back from the main street in beautiful gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Have stayed in many Motels, this was one of the cleanest and friendliest of them all.
Omg! Where do we start with the Central Hotel Port Fairy.. Worst Hotel Ever!! My wife and I recently booked to stay there when arriving there were police there trying to get a guy into his room two other people that could not get in to there room and my wife and I stuck there also as the manager was nowhere to be seen.. when the police tried to call the manager there was no answer whatsoever!!! After about an hour we decided to leave when an abusive man knocked on our window that ended up being the hotel manager.. By this stage we just wanted a refund and to find a place to stay as we had been driving all day.. The manager was abusive towards myself and my wife and said he was keeping our money and walked off when explaining how far we had come and were looking forward to staying there until we were treated so badly the manager agreed not to take the room charge from my account.. Now as if the way we were treated was not already bad enough three days later when booking. com asked me to leave a review I did so.. Two hours later I noticed the manager of The Central Hotel had fraudulently gone into my account using my personal details and taken $170 dollars out.. I then thought id just ring the manager thinking there must have been some mistake only to recieve aggression and further abuse and was told you left a bad review so I'm taking your money and there is nothing you can do about it.. I have been told by booking.com that the manager said we didn't even turn up that we had cancelled our booking and yet we have two police officers and two other residents that can vouch for us being there at the time.. All I can say is Don't Stay Here Worst Hotel Ever!!!!!
Excellent location but one must always remember that accommodation under $200.00 a night is likely to be basic. Nothing wrong as such. Reception was very helpful. Rooms were okay, clean but one would not want to spend too much time in. Pillows not overly comfortable and sheets though clean were very basic with holes and ragged edges. Nice garden area to sit weather permitting. Location is the best point. Great to be able to walk to all restaurants, shops, wharf, Griffith Island etc.
Stayed one night during a Great Ocean Road Trip. Room was very clean and comfortable for one night , however seemed overpriced for what the room offered. Very central location in the middle of town but still close for a nice walk along the foreshore and around Griffiths Island. Overall a pleasant stay.
