They are pet friendly! The staff is friendly. The free wifi is weak if non existant.

I work online so I need WiFi access. The first room they put me in had no WiFi reception at all. I moved to a room closer to the office that had WiFi during the day but at night, when everyone is in their rooms, the router must be overloaded since the WiFi wouldn't connect after dinner.

Overall good value from orbitz at $54 room was smoky smelling but otherwise solid value at the price

The room was clean but it didn't have a hair dryer and the fridge wasn't plugged in so you couldn't store anything in it because it took too long to cool. The outside was dingy and dirty. The cleaning people walked around outside but never cleaned anything.

Overall it was good, but this is the 3rd time getting the same room, and the sink still does not drain and the hot water in sink does not work.

Overall it's nice,it's close to a lot of stores some you can walk to,and I like you can have your pet free, most motels want some ridiculous amount to add a pet or they just don't except them.

Hotel was cheap and easy. Room wasn't as clean as I would have liked (wood floor was dirty and hadn't been swept or swiffered) and the bathroom was fairly shabby (shower sprayed outside of the tub, paint was peeling off the walls, and toilet didn't flush properly), but it served it's purpose as a place to sleep between night shifts.

We stayed here while in Grand Rapids for a quick business trip. We were pleased with everything.Great location and easy getting to Devos Place where we were working. We will stay here again when in town.

I arrived at night and thought it was sketchy from the outside -- just, yeah, sketchy. But inside was a completely different story. I was super impressed with how modern the design was. The best desk/office area I've ever seen in any hotel (better than at home even!), comfy bed, ironing board ready to pull down (not buried in a closet), plenty of room. Very pleasantly surprised. This one experience has meant I will specifically look for a Red Roof Inn again and I wouldn't refer to it as a 2-star at all.

I had a great time. The room was cozy. This is a great place for people on business.. I wish there was a pool or even breakfast.. But other then that it was great!

The staff was very friendly over the phone and in person, but they failed to mention the riff-raff that stayed in the hotel. People were yelling in the parking lot and I saw one man with a gun tucked into his pants. The non-smoking room was small, and smelled like smoke. I stayed for less then ten minutes before checking out. The front desk didn't say anything when I told them that I didn't feel safe, just took my money and said thanks. I went to the Baymont Inn and had a great experience. The staff there was so nice and everything was so clean. The front desk told me that the Red Roof Inn supported drug deals and prostitution and is frequented with police raids... I was happy I left when I did. Go with the Baymont for a slightly higher price but an enormously better experience. Oh and the Baymont informed me that the Red Roof Inn does a great job deleting negative reviews, so we'll see if this review will stay...

This location is in the middle of just about anything one may need while travelling. Countless restaurants, a Target, Walmart and Meijer all within a mile and a McDs literally next door (walk to get your coffee in the AM). I travel to GR at least twice a year and this is my new place to stay.

Nice style for a small, inexpensive place. Too much peeling paint, but otherwise not bad.

Hotel was very small, no room to walk. Bathroom was so small you could barely turn around, shower was horrible water barely came out. Air conditioner was all busted up. There was a smell in there that was awful. Hotel had no pool, no workout gym, nothing to offer customers. No breakfast, very bad stay. I would never return to a Red roof inn hotel.

Great hotel. I wish they had breakfast, but cant be too picky. The room is great, wood floors, comfy bed.

They're renovating the motel and the stairs and walkway were all torn up, so I was pretty worried about what the room was going to look like. But it was beautifully renovated. I was quite pleased. Though a cleaning chemical(?) used in the room irritated my husband's throat.

We enjoyed this no frills room at a great price as a pit stop on a long road trip. Plentiful restaurant choices with a great Bob Evans for early breakfast. Grocery stores too for cheap provisions. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The front desk manager was extremely pleasant and helpful. Asked for extra pillows and she brought them herself! This property does cater to long term guests, and is a little rough around the edges on the exterior. Not sure if there was supposed to be in room wifi, if so that did not work. But again, the rate was $100 or more cheaper than all other near by options and worth every penny.

Okay for the price. Nothing elegant bit basic needs met.

This is the second time I stayed here this year. Both times I was in town to see the West Michigan Whitecaps. The room was amazing. So much more than I was expecting. The location was perfect for me, as it's about a 15 minute drive to the stadium.

got this hotel for the DJ's that played my wedding. It was a nice little place, right off the highway, and close to food.
