Older facility - just so so location was good next to restaurants
It was fitting for the quick trip we made to GR. The rooms should be stocked alittle more.
The room smelled of a mix of cigarettes, marijuana and a Lysol spray to cover it up. Carpet was stained and mold in the shower. Took 25 min to check in as the clerk was on a personal call (she was very kind but instead of taking care of me then continuing her call she made me wait while taking care of her call)
There were no light bulbs in any lamps , had to pour water in the bowl to flush toilet, iced up roads and sidewalks not salted, no garbage cans in room, ghetto folk smoking weed all hours and the kicker was someone siphoned gas from my truck. Its a shithole avoid it at all cost.

It was great. We had a good night sleep. The shower was good
Pool was closed (chairs and garbage in it), internet service was terrible (got kicked off every few minutes, only place that had reasonable service was the lobby. I had to spend time in the lobby to get anything done). Hotel provided one blanket and two pillows. Towels were scratchy. Kitchen had 2 mismatched forks, one steak knife, and no drying rack. What else do I need to say? This is, at best, 2 stars.
Rooms were absolutely filthy! 3 rooms later I went to a different hotel.
Complimentary breakfast and dinner. Nice room with kitchen available.
Extremely generous space for the price! Comfortable and clean.
We were allowed to check in almost 3 hours before the regular time which was great and was really needed. The room was spacious and cozy and we loved the fireplace which made it warm and homey. The full kitchen was great too. Some of the silverware in the drawers were sticky and not clean, but there were other clean things in the dishwasher we could use. Although we didn't partake of it, the day we checked in a free dinner was offered that evening which I thought was truly unheard of and wonderful! I thought the concrete steps up to our building were a bit steep and dangerous, especially if you are carrying a lot. I did trip and fall on the walkway leading to our room but that was due to the sloping grass on the side of the walkway. I had stepped back to make room for a family member to get past me and the slope caused me to lose my balance and fall. Even so, we would stay here again if we happen to be in Grand Rapids.
Great room great price staff was excellent. Xxxxxxxxxxx

We apologize that the smoke from guest that smoke outside lingered in your room being an out door hotel is hard to control that. The young lady on the personal phone call instead of taking care of the guest i will make sure we let all staff know the guest in front of you is main priority and for that I do apologize.

We apologize that our maintenance men was not able to keep up with the weather, the guests smoking outside is allowed because it is legal in the state of Michigan and we would rather have guests smoking outside then in our rooms, someone siphoning your gas is not an issue we have ever had and for that we apologize. If we where informed about the bathroom and lights we would have taken care of right away
