Nice place, although aging. No refrigerator or microwave in our room, although a set was sitting in the hallway.

So I get back to my room after a long evening of meetings and get ready for bed. I get into bed and my feet hit a piece of paper. I pull the paper out from the sheets and it says "bed not changed." It was a note left by the last guest. (See pic) At 3:30am I'm exhausted looking at this note disgusted. I don't call the desk because I just want to sleep, I put a towel on top of the covers to try and go to sleep. Disgusting and a shame that that is how this chain is running. In the am, I complain to the front desk and tell me they will give me 20k points, nothing they can do and they'll make sure it's corrected, they didn't seem too concerned. - stay away.

Nice hotel that has mostly been remodeled but clean. Staff was great but only one bartender on a Saturday night, had to wait for service at times but overall, I would stay again.

Stayed in this hotel about 12 years ago when in the process of re-locating to Grand Rapids. Appears little has changed sine then in terms of décor. Carpeting is in desperate need of replacement throughout entire hotel. Stained, torn, dirty looking. Wasn't overly impressed with cleanliness of room either. Any area that was not easily accessible by vacuum was in neglect. Lots of dust-bunnies, dead bugs, food partials, and other debris visible behind corner of couch, under table, etc. Despite the above, the hotel is not bad. Pool is fantastic. Hotel location is very convenient. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. I asked for a refrigerator during my visit and staff was very quick to provide one. Decent hotel in need of a facelift.

Very good hotel. Room was clean the staff was great. We even got two free breakfast vouchers which was really nice. The buffet was great! The pool area and hot tub was awesome, which is indoors and outdoors. Location is great because its right near or in grand rapids city limits

Older hotel that's had a facelift - lobby is pleasant, free coffee offered, rooms are decent enough but beds could be more comfortable. And pillow need to be updated. Nice redo in the bathroom with granite in the shower. But bathrooms are too small. Carpet could use an upgrade as well. There's a restaurant on site & indoor/outdoor pool which was nice. Everything you need is down the street.

After reading some reviews, I was nervous about the reservation. However, none of my trepidation was founded. The hotel staff made check in a breeze, the room was clean, the beds very comfortable, and the shower perfect. The hotel is very convenient to all the places around Grand Rapids I had to go, including downtown. I didn't have time during my stay for the pool, but the pool looked amazing. I would stay again with no hesitation.

on a happy note- the pool area was spacious and I loved the workout room. On a sad note- the pool had craters in the floor that were poorly patched. The noise level from other guests and doors closing was horrible. I was exhausted!! I was definitely not pleased at all with that. I could hear everyone's conversation as they passed our hotel room door. A very rowdy crowd was soooooo noisey til 2am. Guest services came out at 11pm and knocked on their door and told them of the complaints. I heard everything from the bed in our room, with a fan on to drown out noise. I am not sure I would stay there ever again. I would hope it would not be so noisy for having such a high rating. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Room was clean, staff was great, overnight stay was very comfortable.

The room was fine, though nothing special. I slept very well on the firm, comfortable bed, and appreciated the variety of pillows provided. It always felt clean. However, I certainly felt I had overpaid for the hotel. It seemed like a lot of things had not been updated or more than minimally maintained for a long time. One of two elevators was out of service when I arrived. The breakfast tables were very cheap with chipped veneer showing their age. There really wasn't any style to the place at all. The restaurant did not have even one teapot and had to bring me individual cups of warm (not hot) water in which I brewed tea. In short, I got a well-needed night's rest, but I wouldn't stay here again and would recommend people try a different place.

Because of my work schedule I only stayed and slept for 3 hours. but man.. did I sleep deeply. Walking down the hall I could hear heavy snoring through doors.. The pool looked inviting, although closed by the time I arrived. The hotel is HUGE with some 300 rooms on just one wing of the floor I was on. Staff was friendly and helpful about the area. The hotel is easy to get to from the highway and was only 5 miles away from where I needed to be. The area was quiet and felt relatively safe for a Saturday night on the far east side of Grand Rapids. I'll stay again, hopefully next time with more time to explore.

stay away - beds are dirty.
