The room may have seemed clean, however the smell in the lobby and within the room I stayed, stayed on all my belongings (bag, clothes) long after I checked out. The smell seemed to be like one of those cheap-smelling odor cleaning/hiding powders one would sprinkle all over everything - - it was awful! Also, it was said to have been updated or renovated; however not really so - their was patching on walls and in shower, no new carpet, bathroom door did not stay open, old bedspread and very uncomfortable mattress and pillows.

We were last minute booking a hotel and knew we wouldn't be in the room much. This location worked well for us so we decided to book. The chairs in the room were very stained and the door didn't close easily. But, for what we needed, it worked out.

Its an excellent little hotel for the money. The staff was curtious efficient. The rooms were clean it had a microwave fridge and TV . Definitely would choose it again.

This hotel needs to be evaluated by travel sites, it is not a 2 star facility as listed.

The room cleanliness was awful with dark stains visible on all the chairs and an ancient bedspread. Make sure to use the clean hand towels to sit on if you want to leave the room feeling cleaner than when you entered. The TV was newer and the bathroom was clean. Lots of coupons to be found in the lobby for food, which is good since the free breakfast was awful; the baked goods had a chemical taste. The location is good if you want to be near Ralph Engelstad Arena and it is cheap but I do not suggest staying unless you just want a few hours shut-eye on your way somewhere else. There are other cheap motels in the area that are worth the extra few $.

Bed was almost broken and the heater didn't work properly and there was an foul odor in the room

I'd recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay and don't want to spend a lot. The staff was helpful and courteous.

The nonsmoking room smelled of smoke; the locks on the windows were not adequate; people were partying in the parking lot and drinking; there were bugs on the bathroom floor; and I could not get a refund being I booked through the website or bit z and not directly with the hotel.

This was a good hotel for the one day we were in Grand Forks. We arrived late, so only needed a place to sleep and breakfast. We would suggest that management check into upgrading their beds and think "healthier" for breakfast options--whole grain and more fruit or yogurt would have been nice.

This was the last hotel in town with available rooms. Overall experience was very good, clean and nice staff. Breakfast was middle of the road as expected. Only issue was a group of Canadien hockey players that were loud loud at 2:00 am.

my experience was great. Nikki the staff member I worked with was incredible. She was awesome.

Staff were nice. Clean room. Price was amazing. I would stay there again for sure.

This place was terrible! The staff hardly greeted us when we walked in or out each day, usually keeping their eyes peeled to their cell phone. The doors to the room had a crack between it and the door jam which allowed light and noise into and out of the room. This was common of every door we walked by. The bathroom had a lot of black mold in it! The breakfast was basically a couple of muffins, some watered down juice and even worse coffee. Overall, this place is not suitable for humans should be shut down by the county health commissioner!

About 75% of the ameneties listed for this property are not present. Had to go to a neighboring property for drinks and a good time. Not pleased at all with the description

This is a good hotel if you just want to get to Grand Forks, stay one night and go back home. I wouldn't use it as a vacation stay...but it's fine for a short time. The price is great-so many hotels in Grand Forks are getting very pricey and usually we are not in the room very much anyway. I have stayed here a couple of times and it has been fine for the price we paid.

ok hotel good price. it's a good place just to sleep its not a luxury stay

This was nothing special but it served it's purpose for a clean place to stay for the night. The staff was friendly and accomodating.

Nothing fancy or frilly. Hallways smelled like smoke but once you got in your room it was pleasant.

Gentleman at the desk was very pleasant and offered to show us how to get to the facility for our grandaughters graduation if we knew in which building it was being held...Our room/bathroom were clean and just a pleasant room to be in for the weekend.. Would surely stay there again!!!!!

I spent 3 days at the F....field Inn a couple of miles south of the Sel..t Inn and paid a special rate of $70/night. I asked to stay the next Saturday and was offered a room at $119/night. I said, "I can do better than that." I went onto O.b.z and found the Sel..t Inn for $49/night. It suited my purposes just as well as the F...field. No pool, and not quite as nice a continental breakfast, but they had free WiFI! It does look a little worn and dated, but at half price, it was the best lodging value I have had in a long time. Give it a try!
