Smelled like old booze n cigs needs a major cleaning and renovation!

The hotel seems to be under renovation but they don't tell you that We weren't told that the pool was closed until after we paid and checked in. Luckily, we weren't there for the pool. However, our room was spotless and the bed was as comfortable as always

Upon our arrival, the young female clerk was very nice & did her job. Our rooms had mold and stunk so bad I was afraid we were going to be sick!! This is by far the worst hotel i've ever stayed at. They had LOUD tenants in the pool area drinking hard alcohol . the entire place was just filthy. and then you had males in the lobby talking and cussing LOUDLY. I will never stay here again, your better off sleeping in your car. Its safer.

They are upgrading the hotel so a few problems, but solved very quickly thanks to the great management & staff

The location and price were good, but the hotel needs some updating.

The pictures on the website don't match up as the room we stayed in. The room next to us had renovations possibly due to a fire which staff did not disclose and my family had a hard time breathing. The room was disgusting and the floor was very dirty! I know my car is cleaner the room. I would highly recommend spending the extra money for a nicer hotel, lesson learned on our part. Camping in a tent is cleaner than this place. Under staffed!

Rooms are TINY, and VERY outdated. No bathtub in bathroom, no real vanity, just a sink. The entire place is OLD and not well kept. The picture of the pool online is what sold us, well the zero depth area was not heated and WAY too cold to even use. The other "bigger" pool was heated and usable and that water slide was decent. That was the only this this hotel has going for it. Stay somewhere else!!

I would definitely stay at Howard Johnson again. The hotel was under renovation when we went, which is a good thing, as the hotel could definitely use some more upgrades. The pool area was very nice!! Our room was poolside and it was not too loud at night with kids swimming. Overall, enjoyed our stay here!!

A much nicer hotel then expected and they have a great pool area. A little short on staff and not very easy to locate... but the hotel is very nice.

The rooms had mold all around the bath/shower and the toilet kept running all time. The air conditioning did not work, seemed that was a common condition in other rooms and there was no window to open. The carpet was sticky in a few areas. The whole hotel needs to be updated.

The first night we were there I turned the heat up because the room was chilly. In the middle of the night I woke up hot so I turned the thermostat down to cool. When I woke up that morning it was very hot in our room. Found out that their system does not cool until summer time. Our room had sealed windows and we were unable to open the windows! The room smelled musty and the floors were not clean. Also when we arrived it appeared as though the bed had been laid on because the comforter was wrinkled and a little messed up. Also no elevators. Meeting rooms had dirty walls and chairs were not it very good shape. Would look for a different hotel next time.

The hotel had my reservation from Or bitz but had no info that I paid Or bitz! I had to pay again even after showing my Or bitz receipt, there were no managers around to take care of the problem and the girl at the desk was new and didn't know what to do. The head of housekeeping finally got a hold of a manager on the phone, after an hour and a half, and he helped the girl at the front desk credit my charge card, but then to find out when I got home and was going through my receipts she credited another customer instead of me! I'm extremely upset and will never stay there agin!

Inexpensive, safe, fine. You get what you pay for.

Room bordered the pool so it was a bit humid in the room. Also, chlorine smell was quite strong. A live band was playing that night for a wedding reception and was fairly loud but it didn't last past midnight. Beds were very comfortable and restful. If you stay request a room not bordering the pool and away from the lounge. Overall the stay was adequate.

The reviews that I had read explained it all beforehand. The one and only gal at the front desk was not too in a hurry for anything! Her speed was... backwards. She took forever and the manger on duty walked out of his office right by the front desk, saw that people were waiting to be helped and walked back in his office and shut the door! Talk about annoyed! Room was clean and in order. Poolside was a joke. Could not enter room with room key after we went to pool. Tried having the front desk gal re-key it, that did not work. So my husband and I and 3 small children walked around each time to get back to our room, which was poolside! No towels in the evening for any guests. At pool close a guy dumped a bunch of half dried/wet towels, out on the towel shelf and said that was the best that he could do?! The water park kept the kiddos happy. Chlorine was a bit strong and burnt eyes a bit! Old hotel turned into a water park. Served our purpose of what we were staying at hotel for. Not sure if is worth what they charge?! Read the reviews beforehand, so was not surprised by any of it. What you read is what you will experience. Stayed at the hotel because of the water park...

Not good- room was acceptable, rest of the hotel needs upgrading. No housekeeping was done on our room during our second day of stay. After requesting fresh sheets and towels I was handed an armful of pillowcases at the front desk (do-it-yourself, I guess). Not a pleasant stay.

Convenient location - not many places to eat. Bar didn't open until 4:00 p.m.

We stayed here 4 days Pros: Great indoor pool and spa in large spacious room, a mini-water park with slide for kids under 10, comfortable beds, big rooms, good free continental breakfast although some mornings were better than others, price (special at $55/night), very quiet even when full Cons: No fridge or microwave, poor quality coffee set up, outside is a real turn off, building run down, chipping paint, rooms are not warm enough even when turned up to max.

old and smokey hotel. If you need a place to sleep at night, go here. If you want a place to hang out in the pool and are going to be in the hotel a lot, try somewhere else.

The so called water park was discusting. The rock floor was falling apart and moldy and the pool area had an foul smell. Our room door did not lock behind us, unless you giggled it. The shower never got hot, only luke warm. Finally the cleaning staff stood outside our door complaining about one another and management for at least 15 minutes. I will never stay there again.
