Don't let reviews of Treasure Island scare you away. We have been coming here for 20 years. Room clean, front staff wonderful. People living at hotel are very kind and don't bother anyone. It is a budget hotel and if you want to spend money on food and entertainment than you will enjoy this place. No ice machine was a problem but freeze is mini fridge worked well with making our own ice. Ladies bring hair dryer if you need. We will definitely go back again!

For the price I paid ($115/night), I expected a decent hotel but it was definitely not. The room (and the hallways) had a stench when we moved it. The kitchen and bathroom was not clean. There was no towels when we initially moved in. The wifi is only available in the lobby which was open space thus no AC. Considering the high expenses at Grand Cayman, it kinda makes sense afterward why I got what I paid but it could have been better. Not recommended.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was kind and we were able to hang out on the beach for some quiet peaceful time with no worries. The grocery storm was not too far and since we had a car we were able to go there, make groceries, and come back and utilize the kitchenette area. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location, great outdoor pool bar. Good price. Everything else just good enough.

Love everything about this hotel. Next to the restaurant and the beaches and clubs. Price is great

Just wanted a room since we were diving all day. You get what you pay for.

this hotel is perfect if you just need a place to sleep. rooms are large. It's basic, but perfect if you plan to spend time in town or on the beach all day or at another friends hotel during the day.

The hotel was clean but very marginal. Room was clean, but cups or glasses weren't provided. Jacuzzi didn't work. Would not go back. No activities for kids or adults at the hotel. Overall, this is a beautiful island but very very expensive.

FORTUNATELY WE WENT WITH A LARGE GROUP WHO STAYED SOME WHERE ELSE THE HOTEL SERVICE WAS NOT GREAT THE LOCATION WAS HOWEVER AWESOME I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO A FRIEND

We have stayed at Treasure Island many times. The room is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. I know there are a lot of unfriendly comments but don't let that scare you away from the value of the hotel. It is somewhat like a Super 8 in the states. Love Treasure Island

This hotel turned out to exceed my expectations. After reading reviews I had low expectations, turns out the place wasn't bad at all.

Location was wonderful. Beach was great and facilities were more than adequate. Great for the price.

We stayed here in March 2014 and had a decent stay. The bads: there is only wifi in the lobby, the room is small, there were some issues with garbage and vomit in the hallway that took quite a while to be cleaned, the a/c unit was VERY noisy and made it difficult to sleep, and the room itself was dated and musty. As for the lobby loitering complaints about "homeless" people on other review sites, I am confused, as it's a nice lobby with loads of seating, a bar, and the only spot with wifi. We sat down there a few times and joked that we were contributing to the bad reviews. The location is great as it's on SMB and even though it is on the south end. The buses run often (which are vans with blue license plates) and will drop you off out front and pick you up just outside the resort a bit. It is $2.50 each way to basically anywhere up and down the beach. As for the other amenities, the small market in the lobby was convenient and not as expensive as I expected. Billy Bones bar was a nice spot to grab a snack or a drink and the beach area was very clean and relaxing. There is a very nice sports bar (Club House) attached to the lobby/behind the market although there aren't any visible signs or marketing anywhere at the hotel. Tons of huge TVs for the sports fan, great happy hour beer prices ($10 pitchers) and tasty pizza. Everyone we came upon from the staff was helpful and friendly, and overall we had a very pleasant and more affordable stay at TI. It's not the Ritz, of course, but it's also 30-50 of the cost of other 7 Mile Beach options. Also, they have a few 10 off coupons for Black Beard's liquor store and a booklet with restaurant delivery options at the information desk so be sure to check that out on arrival!

Pros: -Seven Mile Beach is steps away -Resort staff are efficient and friendly -Free wifi around the resort (although signal was weak in our room) -Swimming pools looked nice Cons: -Beds were damp and smelled -Bar in the lobby was a bit seedy -Air conditioning turned on and off all night, blowing directly onto our faces, which made it difficult to sleep

WILL NOT RECOMMEND BUT WAS CHEAP,WE GOT WHAT WE PAID FOR

the hotel met our needs not very comfortable for the money

Great location, wonderful and friendly staff!!!!!!!

Great location on 7 mile, but no beach views. Purpose was to save money to be able to spend more on diving and it worked perfect for this.

if you donot need a fancy room this is a great place, close to dinning, break right at the beach for great snorkeling, walk right 1 /4 mile to small snorkeling wreck. not the ritz but cool for bit.

Great location, great price, just don't expect a mint on your pillow. The amenities are sufficient if you're independent and not looking to be pampered... free parking... microwave / mini stove / sink / refrigerator in the kitchenette + plates, cups, and silverware... free WiFi in the lobby area (not in the room sadly, they had wired internet but I didn't bring a laptop). Plus, who doesn't love a swim-up pool bar with TV's for mudslide-powered world cup watching?
