Wonderful hotel and great staff!! Everyone was pleasant and helpful.

This was our first trip to Grand Cayman, and my wife and I loved it. The Westin has the best beach and is close to restaurants and bars. Great pool and bar area also. We would recommend it to anyone.

Highly recommend! Clean, nice room, great ocean view. The food is ok, nothing crazy. My only complaint is trying to get a chair at the pool area. There are not that many, but there really isn't anyplace else to add. That was a pain unless you get one at 5am! People put there stuff on a chair then leave for lunch, or a tour. So half the day no one uses it, but takes it!

I had a conference at the Ritz Carlton and that place is a must. The food is expensive but it's excellent. The Westin's food is expensive and nothing special. The Ritz includes water sports, the Westin charges for it (paddleboard etc) If you like constant annoying house music playing all day while youre trying to relax, the Westin is for you. If you want peace and quiet, stay at Sunshine Suites. If you want to have your needs anticipated, stay at the Ritz. If you want an employee to look at the ground as they hand you a bar napkin after you said good morning, stay at the Westin. Easily worth $200 more a night to stay at the Ritz if you're already shelling out $500 for sub par stuff at the Westin. Wish I would have stayed but, now I know. Completely different levels of employee training.

The construction is done! Just got back from a 5-day stay that was incredible in so many ways. Even with an army of screaming children running wild across the property we still had one of the best vacations ever. Beautiful hotel in a superb location. The Kimpton sea fire is just down the road though and will definitely try that if we come back to see if we can get into less of a family environment, but if you do bring kids, the Westin is for you!

Hotel was under construction but was still a lovely experience . the staff are excellent and do all they can to make ones stay lovely. I can't wait to go back .

Power and water shut off for 12 hours. Continuous construction.

This hotel should be shut down while they are doing construction. The elevators were not working. The hammering started way too early in the morning.

Most hotels r sprucing up due to the Kimpton hotel, Seafire, opening. We were dealing with a lot of drilling and noise, but we understood. No pool and difficult to get to restaurants and beach. But, we managed. Once all is completed it will be beautiful. We had fun. That's all that counts

Front desk was in a tent in the parking lot. No pool, no lobby, no elevator. Constant drilling , hammering, noise from 7:00 am till 5:00 every day. Even on web site they advertise their pool and facility. But they made up for it by giving us 2 drink tickets, and 50% off room rates next year if we're stupid enough to go back there. Over priced everything, they wanted $195.00 plus gratuity for a 60 minute massage. This was probably one of the worst places we ever stayed. Will not be using Orbits ever again (they should have known abt construction) complete waste if vacation time and money.

Great location near many great restaurants. Nice to have water sports options on site. The beach is beautiful! Great snorkeling right there (fish, squid, even a sting ray). I have two young boys and they enjoyed their time tremendously. They were doing construction during our stay, which they compensated us fairly for. When it is complete (May 3017), it will be spectacular. In the mean time, the beach ambience is disrupted and there is no on-site pool. The allow you to use the pool across the street, but it's pretty small. I want to go back when the renovation is complete!

Pool closed and I had no idea. Massive costruction going on. And the water was shut off for 13 hours.

Beware: Major renovations are taking place. When we originally booked the hotel we were aware of ongoing hotel renovations but did not think they were this drastic - half the hotel is closed off. Vouchers such as daily free breakfast for two, $100 off entire stay, among other things were offered due to construction. Otherwise, the hotel staff was extremely friendly. The beach is located directly behind the hotel. Seven mile beach consists of a strip where all resorts are located - all that differs is the accommodations each resort offers. The island is safe. Therefore, I highly recommend getting a car. Although we ventured out visiting places such as Rum point, Cemetary beach, etc - the nicest beach of all was located behind the resort. A must see location is starfish beach located on the opposite side of the island. Also note that their currency is valued more heavily than the dollar. Food is extremely expensive. All in all, our experience at The Westin was satisfying other than the renovations. The staff will go above and beyond to accomdate you. Family-friendly, welcoming, and accomdating.

First thing when I checked in. The hotel staff aren't as friendly as they should be. 2nd thing, The room that I was put in smelled like someone left a poop in the toilet. Also smelled like wet towels. 3rd thing, the water in the room wasn't working without any notice.

Wear no idea hotel was under construction!! No pool or pool bar. No hotel bar either. We would have never stayed there!!!!!

Had a great time at this awesome resort. The hotel is undergoing much needed renovations. The hotel gives drink vouchers and complimentary breakfast to compensate for the pool being closed for construction. I will definitely go back to this resort!

We enjoyed our stay .staff was wonderful .room was clean .

Great customer service, friendly staff, close to restaurants, beautiful pool and only a few steps away from the beach. Will definitely go back again.

A very pleasant stay. The staff was very accommodating . Perfect island getaway.

My fiance and I stayed from 9-23-15 to 9-27-15 the beach location is perfect. The hotel was very nice as well. Only minor issue in my room (577) was the tub drain seemed to be clogged so it drain extremely slow. I didn't contact maintenance though so clearly it wasn't a major concern. Few of the hotel restaurants were also closed which i didnt know when i booked my stay but that was not an issue either as we ate at other places near by (peppers has great food). All in all i would return but next time I go to cayman I will rent a condo so I can save by cooking sometimes instead of eating out all the time. Drink prices at the hotel are overpriced also.
