Overall nice mid-scale hotel 5 min walk from the beach. Pros: Very nice large new TV, comfortable mattresses, mini-kitchen, large refrigerator. Very nice bonus is the ability to use Westin facilities: awesome beach, spa, shuttle to Camana Bay. Cons: Smaller bathroom, very low water pressure in the shower, no private balcony, no place to hang swimsuits and other clothes to dry other than the small bathroom.

Great property steps from the beach. Sandwiched in between several 5-star properties tat cost 3x more. Great property for the business traveler or family on a budget.

The suites are very old. The bathtub was in very bad need of being replaced. It was very stained, and bulging from the bottom. Very strange. I have never experienced anything like that. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. I thought for the shape of the units, the price was exorbitant. Great food at the Sunshine Cafe. I would give that 5 Gold Stars.

Hotel is centrally located to everything really, and with a rental, easy movement to down town and surrounding areas.. beach is just across the street to the Westin, so no problema, good stay

This is a motel-style hotel made up of several 3 story buildings. There are no elevators so you lug your luggage up to 3rd floor through the outside staircase. But this is only once when you come in and check out, so not so big of a problem. The rooms are reliably clean with dated but functional furniture and tiny kitchenettes. The bathrooms are clean with soft Westin towels. Beds are very comfortable and sheets very clean. The grounds are lovely with chairs on the lawn where you can read a book or just relax. The pool is basic but clean right next to the restaurant so my kids were swimming while I ate my salad at the poolside restaurant table. The location of the hotel is central to several restaurants within walking distance, so that is convenient. The beach is across the street so you can either walk or take their shuttle (we never did) to their sister property Westin. There is an AUTOMATIC roomcharge of $30 per day which includes chaise lounges and towels at the Westin beach you can use first come first take. It also includes any fitness classes they have at the Westin (such as Yoga at 8 am daily) which we never took advantage of as we were tired from the daily activities. There is breakfast every morning from 6:30-9:30 am which is pretty good at the Sunshine cafe in the back. The Sunshine Grill restaurant on site is pretty good and reasonably priced, and just like most good restaurants on the island it gets busy around 6 pm, so you may have to reserve or wait for a table

It was wonderful. Comfortable large room. Friendly staff. Nice pool and very walkable to beach and restaurants. I would absolutely stay again

Just returned from Sunshine Suites on Grand Cayman. Great location, quiet, comfortable and friendly staff. The continental breakfast has a good selection and is a big help with the budget. It is well located and sitting on a green lawn in an adorondack chair is a great way to end a busy day.

Perfect place if you don't want to be around tons of people and don't mind a walk to the beach. A quaint place to be still and quiet.

This place will charge you a resort fee of $30CI a day. For the "free" continental breakfast and use of pool. Even if you don't use either of them. Property is also worn down and dated but the bed was comfortable. Cutting board in kitchenette needed to be seriously cleaned. For the light sleeper who wants to sleep in - ask for a room away from the continental breakfast building - the noise of setting up breakfast starts at 5:30 am and the hotel guests laughing and giggling start as early as 6:15.

Very nice hotel with great restaurant. Also close to best part of the beach.

Great service, friendly and courteous staff. The lawns are beautiful and well kept. Very tranquil and peaceful. Loved the hibiscus spa.

Friendly staff that are helpful- bed was uncomfortable. Sunshine Grill had the best food for your money and a good helping.

We have stayed at Sunshine Suites before and always find this a great place to meet our needs. The staff was very helpful and eager to please. The restraurant was yummy, the grounds are beautiful, the pool fun and private, and the bar just big enough. Being very close to the beach added the perfect touch. Thanks for making our vacation perfect

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean. The kitchen in the room was small but perfectly equipped to cook three meals per day, saving tons of money to spend on other activities. The staff were very gracious. The hotel is very close to the beach across the street and on a bus line where you can travel all over the island with ease. My only complaint was the rooster who woke us every morning because our room was on the front side of the building. However, that can't be avoided in the island. There are roosters everywhere you walk. We will definitely be back to visit.

Comfortable beds, wonderful location, easy access for all excursions. The Sunshine Grill has the best food.

I had stayed here several years ago and was pleased. We decided to come back again on a family vacation. While the outside of the hotel is still in good condition, our room (327) had a strong smell of humidity. It did not help on our last morning we saw a roach running around the walls (it was mentioned at check out). They now charge a $30.00 resort fee per night which was OK since you are allowed to use the facilities of the Westin across the street. Transportation to the Westin was provided quickly when requested. I would suggest to the hotel they consider removing the carpet and just tiling the whole rooms. The complimentary breakfast is no longer provided at the Sunshine Grill, but at a facility built by the parking lot called the Sunshine Cafe. The offerings for the free breakfast were just sufficient enough. Do not expect any hot food items such as eggs, beacon, etc., just some bananas, toast, "home made" looking yogurt, juice, milk, coffee, and cereal. Hotel gets good reviews, but really fell short of our expectations this time.

We have a timeshare on the East End and often we arrive a day before it is ready for us, When that happens, Sunshine Suites is our Go To place of choice. Although a dated property, the rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is outstanding. The location is good with walking access to 7 Mile Beach but you must cross the main road to reach it. The small on-site bar / restaurant located by the pool has a beach feel and serves cold beer as well as outstanding meals including to die for fish tacos! Everyone also gets a small ice cream when finished.

We stayed for 7 night at the Holiday Inn Grand Caymanian. We needed 1 extra night before we flew home so we stayed at the Sunshine Suites. The room was clean except for the tile floor. I felt the floor was really dirty. The bed was clean, the bathroom was clean and the small kitchen was nice with a full size fridge. It was across the street from 7 mile beach which is within walking distance if you do not rent a car. They have beach chairs to use for the beach. The restaurant The Sunshine Grill was very good and wonderful waitresses. They have a continental breakfast that had everything we needed from oatmeal, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, muffins, tea, milk, coffee and donuts.

we enjoyed our Time at the Sunshine suite but there isn't much to do in the evening.

Not on the beach but across the street.. Clean room and very useful kitchenette
