Despite there not being a beach, it was nice to have water sports included.

Overall the property was good. When we stayed there was a decent amount of renovations going on (they had a makeshift gym versus an actually work out facility) which may have been communicated and I didn’t read. It is on the ocean but the area of the ocean is super rocky, not the clear blue water you go the grand cayman for- that section of the beach is about a mile away- walkable and obviously taxis are an option. For us, this meant we spent more time away from the hotel and didn’t get to take advantage of any of the amenities your “resort fee” goes to. The staff were generally very helpful, the rooms were decent. Just not sure I would stay again since my goal was to stay directly on the beach.

Orbitz didnt disclose that this property was under construction and not a "beach house". This Marriott is NOT on the beach!! And wow, the hidden fees felt like we had Verizon! When you book 3rd party there are resort fees @50 Cayman dollars per day!! Called Orbit to let them know of our astonishment when we saw no beach on this property and under construction with no workout facility except a small hotel room in its place, which was NOT adequate. Orbitz didnt care. Kept getting transferred then they said they'd call back to help us. Tbey did call back but that was after I had already called for the third time. Absolutely awful experience with Orbitz.

Loves the facility and amenities offered. Staff were amazing and went above and beyond. They were very friendly and accessible. There was nothing that I didn’t like.

This is a nice hotel but a couple issues stand out . The property is beautiful and clean . I know they are going through some renovations so only half of the rooms on the property are open . We stayed on the 5th floor since I asked for a quiet room . It was mostly quiet and comfortable but the hallway smelled like wet dog ! Stinky !!!!! Next issue are the prices : crazy high prices for everything! I’m not rich 🤑 and don’t take a lot of trips but does $50 for 2 drinks 🍹 at the pool bar sound right to you ? Thanks with the resort fee plus a tip ! That’s why a lot of people go to peppers restaurant or coconut 🥥 joes 🍹 Other then that it was a nice short trip for my hubby and I 👍😃❤️ Other then that it was a nice

The property is beautiful and conveniently located to anything you desire for your vacation. Please note that the property is literally on the beach. Due to sand erosion from hurricanes, etc. there is no sand for you to enjoy. They simply cannot fight against nature. They compensate by having lots of lounge chairs poolside and anchored floaters in the beach. You won't miss the sand, however, if that's what you want, then walk 5 mins towards Governor Beach. The water is spectacular, shallow and clear. You will not be disappointed with 7 Mile Beach.

Very friendly staff overall...lack of beach was not great.. .had to bike to better beach area mostly to Westin Hotel.

Everything was very nice except that the beach (sand) was eroded away and I very much like to take long walks on the beach.

After booking this a few months ago, a week before my trip, i got an email from the hotel that there is no beach. I needed that week to digest that info, because had i found out at the property i would have been really upset. I think the property should notify at booking, but it is what it is. There is no beach, but there is access to the water and floaties in the water you can swim to - which is fun to do/ nice. Most people get chairs at the pool, and while I read reviews it is really difficult to get a chair at the pool, we were able to find one every day without waking up early. The stay was fine, we enjoyed ourselves and never did the shuttle to the public beach as we just wanted time to relax and were able to do that. The rooms are VERY outdates, but the property itself is very pretty. There is an additional $60 resort fee per day, that I was a bit shocked by. Overall, our stay was fine, we enjoyed ourselves. I typically stay at the Westin, and will continue to do so going forward.

Staff were professional and friendly that gave useful information about the island. However there is no beach at this property.

This is an excellent hotel and has been my choice of stay each time I have traveled to the Cayman Islands. It is an affordable accommodation, but provides some level of luxury. The one downside is that due to the hurricanes the beach has been washed away, which I was not aware of before booking my most recent stay. However, the hotel has done an incredible job of making accommodations. They offer free shuttle service to a private beach in which staff are present to serve drinks and take food orders that they have delivered from the hotel to still accommodate the needs of guests. In addition, one of the days I went to the private beach in which the shuttle filled up and guests were still remaining who wanted to go, the hotel covered a taxi service for additional transportation to not leave anyone behind. So despite the disappointment of the beach being washed away the hotel has gone above and beyond to still give guests that “beach experience” we often are looking for. I do hope something can be done for them to once again have the true beachfront, but it may not be possible. I would not let the loss of beach deter you from booking a stay in this hotel because they make accommodations to still provide the experience you may be looking for.

The staff was very good. Everything else was terrible. We were on the fifth floor and could hear carts in the courtyard being hauled back and forth late at night, people yelling in the courtyard and screaming in the hallway at 2 a.m.
