We got this room at the spare of the moment based on location and reviews. The rooms were nice and tidy. Felt very comfortable and clean. Was nice because it had a refrigerator and a microwave. The front desk person was doing her job, not necessarily friendly. The housekeeping staff very friendly and appreciative of our business. My only complaint, the trains are loud. Some of the reviews said they couldn't hear them, they must be very deep sleepers. Unfortunately that's just the way it is in Flagstaff, Arizona a long historic Route 66.

Haven't stayed in Howard Johnsons for years. Really enjoyed it and glad to see that it has retained its quality brand name. Missed the name restaurant from years ago though.

Door has a 2inch drop no signs saying watch your step no yellow markings I wouldn't of rathered slept in my car!!! Fell going to car dye to step no crib or rollaway at hotel

Recently modernized and upgraded. Comfortable beds. No exhaust fan in bathroom.

Bathrooms needed cleaning and maintenance (visible mold, dirty floors, broken toilet paper holder).

Room was small hit my leg on the table just trying to get to the bathroom, the door didn't fit the frame letting cold air in all night we had to blast the heater all night. Not so great for a place trying to go green.

Not a bad place, there's a train outside so it can be a tad bit noisy but the room was clean and the people were nice. Not bad for 50$.

Woman at check-in counter was rude and kept interrupting. I heard the train all night. Poorly insulated walls as I heard children screaming all night also.

Very Clean but looked like it could use a maintenance man. Many small details in a state of slight disrepair, door a little tricky to secure the deadbolt. Not for people who demand perfection. Had a large, like-new flat screen TV with cable, microwave oven, a functional clean refrigerator and hair dryer, large & comfortable King bed. Most of the appliances, including the lamps and fridge were unplugged. Seemed odd to find them that way but i plugged them in and used them. Plenty of towels, soap & shampoo. Complimentary continental breakfast in the lobby and a working coffee maker with coffee in the room. Got a screaming deal on the rate and would stay there again if the price was the same.

While moving to California, my husband and I stopped in Flagstaff, AZ. The hotel was remodeled and the room was clean. We were put on the rearside of the hotel with no view. We did not feel safe in the room as the locks were not the best. This is not a safe place for LGBT people.

Check in was off. Lady was a little rude with previous guest, and short with us. Night clerk didn't know much info. Room was not clean. Very loud at night, didn't seem very safe or secure at night. Wouldn't stay there again. I will spend the few extra bucks for a better hotel next time.

Nasty place and I will never stay here again. Because we booked thru Orbitz (cheap rate) the desk clerk put us around the back, upstairs, with a view of a pile of old tires & a nasty looking parking lot. The smell of greasy burgers from the greasy spoon in front of the hotel would waft up to our room. To get to the crappy pool we had to walk through the crummy parking lot around back, up and around the front of the greasy spoon, around past the length of the hotel way to the back of the facility to the crumbly pool area. This is where the ice maker was too. Also, there was a huge gap between the door jam & the door. We didn't even bother with the breakfast ... at this point we were afraid to try and just wanted to get out of there!!!! The only reason we stayed is because it was non-refundable.

You get what you lay for. Dig hair throughout the rom cigarettes on the floor near mini fridge Entry door would not close gaps in the door wind came in all night TRAIN RUNS ALL NIGHT LONG NOISY AREA

On first day of 3 stay, no maid service what so ever and when we asked for 4 more towels they'd only give us 2 and said that's all you can have. This gave us one per person but they are small, worn, thin and not sufficient for a good towel off after the shower.

The room was clean and big Staff did not know anything about thinks to see close to Flagstaff Breakfast was very minimal location of the place VERY LOUD Train every 20 minutes all night

Check in was fine, however I thought they were closer to NAU. The hotel was 15 minutes away with traffic. The towels were raggedy. The pool was closed. They should have disclosed no pool available. Or made options for the guest.

I work in Flagstaff during the week so this is my home away from home. I have been staying here for about 8 months and have no complaints. There is a fridge and microwave so its a good deal for a place to stay. Staff is very pleasant.

Clean rooms. Good service. Breakfast left a lot to be desired but it's right next to a diner. Overall, would certainly come back here.

very tidy rooms and friendly house keeping staff

We got this room at the spare of the moment based on location and reviews. The rooms were nice and tidy. Felt very comfortable and clean. Was nice because it had a refrigerator and a microwave. great stay for the price!

Not a bad place, there's a train outside so it can be a tad bit noisy but the room was clean and the people were nice. Not bad for 50$.
