I stayed here part of a TOPDECK trip for 2 nights. The room was lovely, nice and clean. The issue I had was with the swimming pool being in the middle of a parking lot, right in the centre for everyone to see. We had an issue with some other guests staying who were loud and inappropriate (men who were harassing us ladies). The manager however, dealt with this very well. The breakfast was great and the location too for sightseeing. I would recommend visiting the hideout saloon which is a 1 minute walk away!
Stayed at this location several times while taking my son on campus tours at NAU. Room was clean, service friendly and the price was affordable. Would stay here again and recommend this location to friends.
Nice clean (remodeled) hotel. Friendly staff. Park at your front door convenience which is sometimes hard to fine. Pet friendly with small dog walk area. Breakfast looked good. Room was small, but clean and comfortable.
stayed 1 night on way to Grand Canyon from Columbus Ohio via Phoenix. A good place to land for the night before setting out early in the morning for the Grand Canyon. Hit some breweries and restaurants in Flagstaff and found the town to be friendly, accommodating and just quirky enough!
Room was clean and comfortable. The young lady at the desk was able to assure I had a suitable place on site to park my car which was towing a small motorcycle trailer. The breakfast bar was satisfactory, and an aid to an early departure. An excellent value for overnight. I plan to stop there again.
Room had everything we needed, comfy bed. The decor was nothing fancy, but more than adequate. Great price. Breakfast rather minimal continental style. Lots of guests seem to leave very early in the morning, no doubt to get on their way to the Grand Canyon. Highly recommend the Himalayan restaurant across the street for supper.
We stopped and stayed here on a road trip through Arizona. The room is nice and big and the facilities are clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and the hotel was in the perfect location of food and stores close by.
A nice room, in a value hotel. The lady at reception was most friendly and helpful. Even when the television would not work, she came straight to the room, and had it going in a few seconds. Breakfast was included. Simple but adequate. Thoroughly recommended.
I use motels in the Choice Hotels brand a lot, and Econo Lodge is at the lower end of the amenities spectrum. This one has been partially updated: the beds, flooring, T.V. vanity/sink, and tub/shower head were all upgraded. Just not the wooden furniture. The bed was very comfortable, and I love the rain forest style shower head. We were there too late in the season to enjoy the heated pool, since the lows were in the mid-30s (Farenheit), The front desk personnel were VERY good, both the evening shift when we checked in and the day shift when we had breakfast. The coffee pot was always full, and the limited breakfast selection was kept well stocked. I really liked the location. We were only 1 block from the Univ. of Northern Arizona, 1/2 block or less from restaurants. Chick-fil-a was the very next building, dunkin donuts was 2 buildings down, McDonald's was about 1 1/2 blocks away. There was a gas station 1/2 block away. I like to walk for exercise. The surrounding neighborhood had wide sidewalks and was level for at least a mile in either direction. Or, if you want to run, there is a very nice running path in the university about 3 blocks to the east. Econo Lodge (in any location) does not offer elevators, since the rooms are all on the 1st or 2nd floor. If you need a 1st floor room due to mobility issues, make a reservation and ask for a 1st floor room. They will accommodate your request if you book ahead and arrive in the late afternoon (4:00 to 5:30), especially during the week. They book up early on the weekend, since it is right by the university. I would stay here again. Good basic accommodations.
Older property, rooms open to outside and decor is dated. But they have new door locks and good TVs. So if you want a clean room with good bedding but don't want to spend a bundle, this could be the one for you. Convenient location, good neighborhood. Breakfast not great...tiny muffins and cereal. But, again, clean, friendly and affordable.
