We couldn't recommend this hotel any higher. The staff and management are superb and attentive at all times. The location is spectacular. Just superb. Wifi isn't particularly great but to be honest everything else is about as good as it gets.
Stayed here for a week, enjoyed every thing apart from the pool area which is a shambles, you are allocated sunbeds on arrival and that is where you stay whether you like it or not, you could be stuck under a tree and not sre the sun all day, we refused ours and never went around the pool our entire stay, the beds are almost touching each other, no privicy at all. Cannot critisise any other part of the hotel, staff lovely, food very good, rooms clean and tidy.
Its been a year since our holiday here but after a rubbish experience in lanzarote I think its only fair I review the good hotels too. For a start the hotel is beautiful and clean, the staff are lovely and this hotel was at capacity too. They have a allotted dubbed for your whole trip which is a good idea because it stops morons leaving their towels on all day and disappearing. The pool is beautiful with a jacuzzi. The rooms are lovely and clean, although the see through shower door and toilet are a bit odd.(Not exactly see through but frosted glass). Anyway not too much to say negative, only had breakfast which was lovely and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, we did head away from the beach though for better quality and prices. Anyway this place is very nice.
We had another nice stay in this hotel and enjoyed it much. A place where you feel welcomed. The staff is very customer orientated, friendly and helpful. The location direct on the beach and the beautiful view from
Last year we stayed in the Lopesan Costa across the road, on recommendation for this year we booked the IFA Faro, and we are so glad we did. It was even better than expected. Check In - Quick and efficient by very friendly staff with good English, Luggage was taken to our room. Room - We had room 1411 - double Sea View. The view was amazing, The hotel is right on the beach. The room was large and clean with tv, complimentary toiletry's mini bar etc. Its quirky with the bathroom in the room. Maid service was excellent and room kept very clean. Only niggle is lack of English TV channels . Pool Area - large and clean pool area . Best bit is reserved sunbeds for your stay, its takes away so much stress ! Pool manager was extremely helpful in finding us beds we liked. If you cant find in first few days, he will help to move you around until your happy. Pool towels are supplied and can be changed for 1 euro whenever you like. Pool is heated but could be a wee bit hotter. Pool Bar - the food in the pool bar is some of the best we have ever eaten. Normally on holiday we go out for lunch but stayed here most days as it was just so good. The omelettes are the best I've ever had, so good I really wanted to ask Chef to show me how to make ! Hubby had the Steak Sandwich quite a few times it was so good. Evening restaurant - we were B & B only as we like to go out and about but decided to try the buffet on our 3rd night . We ate there for the rest of the holiday. The choice and quality is amazing, fresh fish, meat , chickem, salads, something for everyone. Entertainment - Depending on your tastes you will like or not, we loved the circus acts, the Spanish / Irish Fusion , not so much some of the duets, but its personal taste. Staff - the staff are a real credit to the hotel, every single person from Reception to waiters were really friendly and welcoming. Other - there are a few boutique shops and a hairdresser in the lobby of the hotel. We loved the hotel so much we have already booked to come back in Septemeber and cant wait. Thank you IFA Faro for making our holiday so enjoyable and relaxing.
Stayed for a week end of may start of June 20017 . Booked hotel for beach position . Exceeded my expectations . Hotel not recommended for young children , took our 12 year old daughter she was only child . Perfect as far as I'm concerned. Hotel staff amazing , food great , good sea view room . Mainly German guests perfect for me very respectful adults . Pool bed reserved for your stay so no fight in morning. We have booked same week next year on return.
Loved this hotel. True is not the most modern but this doesn't matter. The staff and the facilities are great. Right next to the beach, the location is great and the surroundings offer many facilities! I will come back. This hotel has a great system to allocate sunbeds and as they don't really cater for children, you can really relax by the pool. Thank you!
This was our first time to Maspolomas so first time to this hotel. It looks lovely from the outside and the reception area is big and spacious. We were greeted warmly by a receptionist who spoke good English. She advised us we had booked a standard room however they had upgraded us to a room with a sea view which was on the side of the hotel. The room was fine maybe in need of modernising , the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. The balcony was lovely as the sun was there until about 11am each morning and sheltered from the breeze. This is the first time we have been in a hotel were you can select your sunbeds and they are yours for duration of your stay you need a voucher from reception for this. It was difficult to find any beds that weren't booked but eventually we got 2 not necessarily where we wanted to be but the sun did move round. It was also disappointing to see so many beds tagged that were not used which restricts others from using them. The pool area is lovely very clean but the beds are very close together with little room to move them as the sun moves. The hotel has internet apparently but throughout the hotel only in certain areas!! If you wanted full access you could buy this at €2 per day we declined this. We were only bed and breakfast which was fine it was buffet style with plenty of choice. We ate out every night in the many restaurants around. The gem for me was being able to walk out of the hotel and be right on the beach it was lovely to hear the waves of the sea from your sun bed. We will definitely go back to Maspolomas and this hotel as there are other resorts we would like to see Port Mogan was recommended to us but we didn't get there this time. Overall a good hotel with some quirks.
Walked in beautiful bright lobby, we were only ones off coach, good journey from airport. Staff very pleasant and good at English. Easy check in with both rooms, boys had separate rooms being teens! Rooms lovely and spacious, fab side view of sea, very happy as had sun in afternoon. Bathroom lovely and clean with shower gel, toner, scrub and cleanser with robes!! Breakfast amazing if you are fussy you will be very happy! All tastes catered for the fruit was amazing. Dinner even better, good choice with a pizza night, Chinese and gala dinner. The fish was fabulous every night as were the deserts and fruit 🍉. Your drinks go on room bill at end of stay. Swimming pool 🏊 was lovely just keep moving... jacuzzi part needs to be a lot warmer. Gym looked good didn't go! Day entertainer was good went to couple of day activities enjoyed it. Didn't really go to evening entertainment but looked and sounded good. My one and only tiny criticism was on our bill was daily safe payment which I queried and she said we should have been informed I said we weren't and she shrugged and carried on. Apart from that I would definitely be back, the rooms and food excellent! 💕
My husband and I stayed at the hotel in March. The reviews I had read previously have basically summed up the hotel very well. The hotel reception area and staff on arrival were all very welcoming and friendly. During our stay the staff always went out their way to make us feel special. We stayed b&b which was lovely, with champagne breakfast and a huge variety to choose from... there wasn't anything else that could have been offered. Everything was fresh and plentiful. The hotel guests are predominantly German however the hotel staff give everyone the same amount of attention and communicated with all the guests very well. We were very kindly upgraded to a room with a side sea view which I found to be a lovely gesture, yes you can see the restaurants below but it didn't bother us and I didn't get to smell anything offensive from them as some other reviews have stated. Looking out to sea was beautiful and a real bonus for us. The Hotel room was rather dull, the air con never worked but as it was March there was enough air outside that would blow through when I opened the patio window so I managed !!! I didn't complain. I wouldn't say the room was 4 star. I think it's due an upgrade however you do get used to it after a couple of days. Cleaners weren't quite up to standard. I found a false eyelash on the dressing room table. Not sure if it was one of the cleaners or a previous guest :( that said clean towels were always available when we needed them and beds made everyday. I believe the sheets got changed twice in a week. The Hotel is right on the beach so we had a lovely walk along it every morning. there are some lovely restaurants close by. We didn't stay in the hotel at night so can't comment on the entertainment. Big bonus points to the management for the allocation of sunbeds. Brilliant idea that should be compulsory at all hotels !! All in all we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would recommend to anyone staying in the area.
