Motel has been completely remodeled. Everything was n tip top shape. Staff was wonderful, sleeps good, cant beat the views and the peacefulness outside. Beds are very comfortable and new. We had three beds in our room and you can get adjoining rooms if you have family or friends with you. It's just beautiful views of the Amish farms all around you.
We were on our way to New York and needed just a hotel for one night. We had a room with 3 beds, and the interior was a little bit older, but clean. They are offering no breakfast. We arrived late, and the hotel also offered a late check-in.
We came out to see a show and the ride being long to go home decided it was best to stay over night. We choose Harvest Drive because it was in our price range and the picture of the room looked very nice. We checked in, the woman at the desk was very friendly and gave us a good rate. The smell of the area certainly had a flavor (lol) of it's own. We were in farm country after all. The room was not what we expected. It was dark and small. However it was clean (which was wonderful). The air conditioner was very noisy, sounded like a farm tractor was riding by every twenty minutes. But all is good.
My wife and I had reservations for Sunday May 28 until Tuesday May 30. We could not get Saturday since the motel was booked full. We had to make reservations at another motel. That motel was not up to our standards. We went to the a Harvest Drive Motel and we were offered the room with the stand up shower. We gladly accepted the room. It's small but very clean with a nice view of the farm. The next day we checked in to the room we had reserved. They replaced the older furniture and headboards. The room was clean, comfortable and has plenty of room. As always a quiet stay, and no traffic. The motel is off of the main roadways in the farmland. Shopping and attractions close to the motel. And all employees are friendly, very helpful and will go the extra mile for you.
This little inn is quite amazing. Nested neatly off the main road with a awesome view of Amish farmlands, with dairy cow as your neighbor across the street. I loved hearing the clickety clop from the horses pulling the Amish buggies passing bye. The morning view, sitting outside, is wonderful. Great spot to rest for any traveler, and close to the Amish experience tour that you don't want to miss!
Middle May appears to be time of year when farmers whose farms completely surround this property (which why it is a very quiet location), unfortunately filled the air outside with NOT to pleasant odor at times.
Loved the surroundings and the staff was pleasant. Our room was clean which is very important and something I always check for. The 3 bed option for a family of 5 with 3 kids was great! The furniture seemed to be updated. We had great water pressure in the shower. The only con was that my mattress wasn't very comfortable, I felt every spring. And there was a bunch of kids who were staying at the hotel playing outside making noise at 8AM. Besides that, we felt we got a great value for our one night stay and would return again.
All the updates are not for the best. They have added a desk to the room we were in, but took out the table that was there before. Both my husband and I had brought our laptops, but only one could use it at a time. The comfy chairs are gone, too. Now they have two straight hard dining chairs in the room. Very difficult to watch TV if you are unused to sitting in the bed.
We were assigned a room with older beds/mattresses that proved to be very uncomfortable. I knew the motel would be booked for the weekend, so on Monday I went to the office to discuss the matter as we were staying for nine days. Without hesitation or an increase in overall cost the Associate moved us to a different room with queen beds and brand new mattresses. The remainder of our stay was delightful. The staff is very kind and accommodating. The only complaint I have is this - the sink and mirror are outside of the bathroom. My preference is to have a fully contained bathroom.
Our room, same one for 3 years, is on the corner of the building on the second floor. It is peaceful, quiet, and overlooks several farms all being worked by the local people, mostly Amish and all using horses, mules and manual labor to work the fields. Sitting out, looking at life as it used to be, is an absolute dream. So relaxing.
