Love staying here. The water pressure is awesome the people trip over themselves to help you and they keep you in stitches laughing... It is a humble place to stay but the people seem to enjoy working here and it's nice to see people thankful for what they have Jerry from Opies
The room smelled terrible and apparently had not been cleaned in some time. The wall was crumbling in the bathroom. The place was a huge party zone in the middle of the week. People were walking around the parking lot all night. We will not stay here again!
Friendly staff and very clean rooms. Great price. Thanks for lovely stay. Staff ready to help and that was a plus. Easy access to the highway and food. Would recommend this hotel to other friends and family
Stayed for 1 night. Only availability within 50 miles. Carpet in half the room was soaked, room was supposed to be non-smoking, clearly by the smell, it was not and cigarettes were not what was being smoked. Should have just risked it and driven on to Raleigh
I am a Contractor working in the Goldsboro area and chose to Stay here with my crew. I honestly have always had a great experience at this hotel. The staff si very friendly and always ready to help.Management always works with us offering contractor rates, and its and easy access the the highway wich for us works great.I have to say its an older building but alot of work has been done and the good service is what i appreciate the most. I will continue to choose this hotel for all my stays in this área.
This place was a good stay. I was moving and needed a place to stay for two weeks until my place was ready and it was a good two weeks. I had new towels everyday after work and my sheets were changed regularly. Also the housekeeping staff and the people at the front were nice and helped me out whenever I needed it. If I ever need to stay at a hotel again I’ll be here.
Very lovely staff. My stay was great! They front desk clerk was very helpful and polite. I was worried at 1st after reading some of the review but decided to give it a try m, I’m glad that I did. The manager said they had done some renovations and I could really tell , the hardwood floors were a nice touch. Definitely going back! Highly recommend giving this place a try..
Not sure what's up with all of the 5-dot reviews. I wasn't expecting anything particularly nice (it is a motel, after all), but 4 dots average for this location is too high, really. First, on the bright side, the room was, from what I could tell, cleaned well and bug-free. I didn't see any residues on anything, which was good, and the bed and sheets were as expected. Second, as somebody else mentioned (quite a while back), regardless of what you booked online, there are no actual "non-smoking" rooms, it's more like "smoking" and "smoking-er" rooms. My reservation was for non-smoking, and the first room I got was difficult to breathe in, combination of heavy cigarette residue and some sort of cleaner. The housekeeper said that she smoked and wouldn't put up with that room either, it was really bad. I got reassigned to a room that was better, but still definitely had some smoking nights on it, really noticed it on my CPAP equipment the next morning, hopefully I can clean that out. Third, maintenance. The quality of maintenance on the rooms is generally poor, lots of poorly patched holes from curtain rods, TV mounts, a rather large patch in the bathroom. Done right, a patch should be invisible, these were done as quickly and hastily as possible. I actually nearly got stuck in the bathroom because the door got stuck in the doorframe, presumably either due to incorrect installation or paint, along the top edge. I was eventually able to open it by sliding a card in the seam to loosen it up, I was legitimately worried I was going to break the door, there was quite a bit of flex when I tried pulling on it. Finally, the area. When I was checking in, the manager was talking to maintenance about someone punching a hole in the wall the night before, and given the area it was in, I wasn't really very surprised by this. I don't know why TripAdvisor has this as a two-star for amenities, and given that, I really don't know what a one-star would constitute. I have stayed in other two-star hotels before and have never had any issues like this. I generally avoid motels, but figured this one would be passable in a pinch (availability at the time was a problem), and it really wasn't, at least, not at it's classification level. Given that the cleaning staff did a good job, if it were a one-star on tripadvisor, I'd give it 3 dots. But as a two-star, the most I can give it is 2 dots. The quality of this place just doesn't add up to 2 stars, 4 dots, it's simply not an accurate descriptor, the rooms are in too poor a shape for that. To get that kind of rating, I would expect things to be basic, but in good repair, and in a generally safe area. This place does not offer that.
I had complications with my room and the front desk clerk Zsa accommodated me very well for the inconvenience. She was very well mannered and showed that she love her job and this will not be my last stay. Every hotel needs a Zsa!! I can say her personality was amazing as well. -Gregory Wiggins, Tonya Roberson
